WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Let me tell you, Ive had a lot of experience in hospitals, but this one takes the cake! My cousin was transported just last night by ambulance for possibly having a stroke or heart issues. The medics brought her back out of the ER in a wheelchair and said she had to wait. When I told them this was a dire EMERGENCY, they said they had to listen to the hospital rules and the ER staff said she had to wait. When I went back up to the nurse who took vitals and signed her in, she told me I had to wait behind the line. When I finally got called up to her and explained how URGENT this situation was, she told me that my cousins vitals were fine. THEY WERE NOT! Plus, she was having chest pains...the nurse replied, "she wasnt having chest pains when she was up here!" IN A VERY SARCASTIC VOICE! I told her my cousin was in DISTRESS and needed ATTENTION RIGHT AWAY!!! My cousin then had to use the bathroom and couldnt go because she had lost the use of her muscles in her legs! They sent a young tech...I told her she would not be able to list my cousin because my sister and I couldnt. Well, she tried, and guess what...my cousin fell to the floor! By this time, I was assisting! I yelled at her telling her to go get help and this was an EMERGENCY. How many times do I have to say it? Well, 3 nurses came in...guess what the 1st question was, by the same mean nurse who signed her in, "Mam, how many drinks did you have today?" I WAS MORTIFIED! by then, my cousin is getting extremely upset. They finally helped her on the toilet, (3 of them!) They thought she may have been drinking or on drugs...but she was HAVING A STROKE! I yelled at them and asked how IGNORANT and MEAN can they be? They finally took her back but not in a room. They said they didnt have a room so they put her in the hallway on a stretcher. They took a CT scan and chest xray. It took a while but FINALLY, a NICE female Dr. came. She was the ONLY one that was helpful. The staff thought she was a drunk or druggie and seemed as if they didnt want anything to do with her. My cousin had to use the bathroom again with assistance, I waked to get her ice water and my sister was there. Well, 3 people came with a wheelchair and expected her to get up and stand to it???? HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO SAY SHE CANNOT WALK DUE TO WHATEVER WAS GOING ON WITH HER....STROKE, HEART.. a female nurse told her they wouldnt help her unless she tried to help herself...well, my cousin FELL again!! My sister got the video camera out and started videotaping this unbelievable mess of a hospital staff! Our poor cousin was getting put through this terrible ordeal all along while having a stroke! Security came because they saw the phone out videotaping.. I told him straight up why and asked him where they hire theyre staff from??? To make this long story a little shorter....we were 2-1/2 hours away from home because this happened while on a day trip. We had to get her out of there and to a better hospital. I drove her straight home and to a WONDERFUL HOSPITAL, who is treating her for a STROKE.....CONFIRMED....A STROKE!!! I believe you should re-educate your staff!!! But I thank the wonderful female Dr. who treated her. Send them all back to school! They dont know how to treat people and had no compassion whatsoever!

Horrible Hospital! Nurses, Doctors, Surgeons and entire staff need to all get on the same page! One person will walk into your room and tell you one thing, then later someone else will come in and tell you something completely different! -First my fiancé went to the ER bc of MAJOR flank pain, weakness and dehydration. They did some bloodwork and tests and he was told he had a very small kidney stone that was so small it would break up on its own, then they sent him home. In less than 24 hours we were back in the ER with increased symptoms. They did more testing, (this time different testing), and found out he had a VERY large kidney stone and it had already moved to a place where he would not be able to pass it on his own and would require surgery to remove it and ureter stent for a week. WOW! In less than 24 hours his diagnosis changed THAT MUCH! They definitely mis-diagnosed him the first day he was there, by not performing the correct testing! cost him more money, more pain, more frustration, and possible unnecessary surgery! -Next, he goes in to receive a microdiscectomy for a bulging, inflamed herniated disc in his spine. The nurse told him he could not have any Advil or Aspirin for 3 months. Come to find out later FROM THE SURGEON HIMSELF that she was incorrect and he could take Advil and Aspirin if he wanted to. He suffered through horrible headaches and pain for several days because of her mistake! -Then he had gone for a followup appt. on the Wednesday following surgery and we were told that everything was normal, his incision looked good and no sign of infection. Then, 2 DAYS LATER we end up in the ER again bc of massive amounts of pus practically shooting from his incision to find out that he developed a hospital acquired staph infection in his back! He had to have yet ANOTHER surgery to remove/clean out the incision in his spine and had a week hospital stay to make sure it did not get into his blood which can be FATAL! HOW DID THEY NOT CATCH THIS AT HIS FOLLOW-UP APPT??!!! Now he is on IV Antibiotics for 6 weeks and out of work for a total of 3 months! Had to file short term disability bc of this hospitals mistakes! On top of all of this his surgeon didnt come and speak with him about how the surgery went for days. No chart notes were put into his file so even his own nurse didnt even know what was going on. Hes laying in a hospital bed after surgery, scared and confused and wondering whats going on, if hes going to be okay and NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON! The nurse would just come and give him pain meds and thats all they were good for! Sad thing is Ive even left several other things out of this post that happened to him there but all-in-all, worst hospital I ever encountered! Never going back again! Stay far away from this place!

If you want to see a Doctor, dont go to the Emergency Room at University Medical Center of Princeton in Plainsboro. Heres what happened to me. I was working on my table saw one night and I took off a sizable chunk of one of my fingers. Smart move on my part got me headed off to our brand new medical facility - University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Here I thought I was going to receive the best medical care in this great new hospital. Not!!!!!!!!! There were only 5 or 6 people in the ER but I waited over 2 hours to see anyone. There was no sense of expediency at the hospital. I thought I was waiting for a Doctor to arrive to look at my finger but that wasn’t the case. I got an x-ray, tetanus shot, saw a physician’s assistant but never saw a Doctor. Granted it’s been a long time since I had to go to the ER, but I should have been told at the door no Doctor was going to see me. Then I could have made the decision whether to stay or seek other medical attention. If I had known that I would have left and gone over to “In Focus Urgent Care” In Princeton Junction where I would have seen a Doctor and maybe with his or her expertise my recovery time could have been reduced dramatically. The only time I spoke to a Doctor was after I voiced my displeasure with the fact that I did not see a Doctor in my time of need. I should have been notified as I was checking in that no Doctor was going to see me so I could have made a choice. Another thing I found rather interesting is that there is a Physicians name on my bill?? If he was there why didn’t he see me?? Funny how I am getting charged for services rendered from someone who never looked at my finger. That’s fraud to me, but what do I know. The bottom line is if I had been informed that no physician was going to see me I would have looked into other options, I wasn’t given that opportunity. That’s wrong!
