I can not say enough good things about Dr. Schacht and Jean. I drive from Winston-Salem to Charlotte because they are so wonderful and great with my dog. I first found them when my two year old dog at the time was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Polyarthritis and I had been told by my vet at the time that she would have to be on prednisone for the rest of her life. Fortunately Dr. Schacht was able to wean her off the medicine and she was perfectly healthy after that. I now take my year old pit bull to Charlotte Natural Animal Clinic. She can be very fearful of new people and I worried how she would be at the vets office having strangers touch and examine her. Because Dr. Schacht and Jean are so calm and patient, my dog trusts them and has had a wonderful experience going there. Its so worth the 80 mile drive and dealing with Charlotte traffic. :)

We cant recommend this place enough! We finally found a wonderful option for our flame point siamese cat who is able to offer a holistic solution for chronic longer term issues that does not involve the typical overkill approach of steroid and antibiotic treatments as a cure all. While he is able to prescribe those if need be, Dr. Schacht is much more likely to try a holistic-first approach, with homeopathics, dietary changes, and other more subtle treatment options. Its fantastic! The office is pleasant, the staff is helpful, and this place is a true gem!

We have sent many clients there as breeders of goldens that train as service and assistance dogs as well as pet owners. Everyone comments on how happy they are with the Dr. and his office staff. They are conscientious and caring, but also alternative minded with reduced vaccinations and aligning with our philosophy of natural and alternative care extending longevity.
