Duke is a wonderful hospital. The Doctors, Nurses and staff are the best. My mom had a heart transplant in 2001 and we have at least two visits a year at the Clinic. With this being said my Dad had neck surgery at The Duke Medicine Pavilion recently on the third floor and was put in ICU on the eighth floor. The same applies to the Doctors, Nurses and staff (Wonderful). I however was very disappointed in housekeeping on the third and eighth floor Waiting Rooms. I want go in detail, but this is an issue that really needs to be addressed.

The doctors and staff seem nice enough, but the Duke Medical Bureaucracy is uncaring, self-centered and unresponsive. The facility may seem very nice, but underneath its run by people who get between the patient and the doctor and make things difficult for the patient. This is unacceptable. Two stars, but only because we did encounter staff who tried to help. Leaving those folks out of the loop, I give this dump 1/2 of a star.

Joyce and I had a very positive visit with our friend Randy today. Nestle you know how we do it keep the prayers and visits coming. Randy is doing great but he still has a long road ahead. The hospital and staff are outstanding. Lets continue to speak life into his battle.

I had a hernia operation at the Pavilion. Outstanding results and great care. Waiting area was very comfortable. My wife was kept well informed of progress. This pavilion incudes a café and gift shop.
