Good-Friendly staff very nice Dr....but-I visited this office a little over a year ago. Why am I just writing this review, well I JUST discovered I was NOT diagnosed correctly and while I have been able to see fine I did not find out until now that my prescription strength for my contacts and glasses were way too strong. I have a history of headache issues so I didnt think much about it as I have experienced the worst headaches that began shortly after my eye visit. Let me remind you my vision was ok all the while so I though nothing about that even being a factor with my headaches. I just went for my yearly eye exam to a different office in Greensboro and they are beyond wonderful. While everyone at this office (Bground Eye) was nice and helpful I just didnt get that wow factor feeling and I was only there for about an hour most of that was wait time. I do not feel like enough time was spent checking my eyes. However I placed trust in them so I assumed all was fine. So after insurance, I still paid approximately 90 dollars plus purchased contacts, plus purchased glasses. So after insurance paid and all that I paid I would say all the costs paid out had to be over $400. Fine, if you get it right! As I said I recently visited a different doctor and she spent two and a half hours with me!!! Totally unheard of and I wondered why she was doing this. She explained to me something didnt seem right. I actually thought she was crazy when she told me she felt as if I should be in -3.75 and -3.50 for contacts instead of -4.50 or -4.75. This is a huge difference so I thought never would this work. WHAT a difference. No more headaches, after I spent money on that as well trying to figure out what was going on with me including hormone checks and medication changes!! I feel like a totally different person. I can see and I cant believe it. She explained to me that while I was able to see with the other prescription strength it was placing way too much strain on my eyes, so there you go. That is why the headaches were worse then ever. I called to explain this story and was told I could have gone back to the office if I felt that strength wasnt correct or if I was experiencing problems. A- I could see fine so why would I think anything about there being a "vision problem." B- As a customer I dont want to hear that, especially if its said with an attitude. The way I treat people is, no matter what, I put myself in their shoes for a moment. While I realize fully people make mistakes and are not perfect I would like to feel I can place some trust in my eye care professionals. This has been an upsetting situation for me and I have all this documentation regarding this concern. I am a beyond busy person. I am a mother of two, I work, I volunteer and I am a full time graduate student who also has an internship. So yes, busy doesnt describe it. I put aside my work that I need to be doing because I so strongly felt the need to write this. -Very unhappy customer.

I lived in Greensboro for almost nine years before I found the right eye doctor. Lemme tell you how good Dr. Scott of Battleground Eye Care is. Heres just one example. I have glaucoma, and I do yoga. One time in yoga class the instructor was demonstrating an inversion (a shoulder stand, I think), and she mentioned that one reason not to do such a pose was glaucoma. Possibly. So I looked at Dr. Scotts 411 to see if he had email. He does. I emailed him the question: Is it all right to do yogic inversions with glaucoma? With a few hours he emailed back, saying he had researched it, and the answer, to be safe, is no. Nice, thorough, reponsive, and always eager to help. Thats Dr. Scott. A few months later I went to him for my annual exam; he remembered me, my yoga question and the research. Want a good eye doc? Here ya go.

We have been going to Dr. Scott and Battleground eye for 10+ years. He and the staff take great care of my family! This could get a little deep for a google review, but we owe Dr. Scott big time for catching a very uncommon and what could-have-been a life-threatening issue during my daughters routine vision exam. He sent us straight to a local pediatric ophthalmologist, who agreed with his diagnosis and concern. He arranged an MRI brain scan at Cone within another 30 minutes. We never stopped at either front desk. Thankfully, all ended well. The specialist here and at Duke agreed that Dr. Scott was practicing top-flight optometry for his catch of her condition (that she has out-grown!!!). Thanks again!

I have been going here several years and like how friendly eveyone is. When I realized my daughter may need glasses or contacts I obviously took here there. They make eveyone at ease! She is now in college and wanted her to have glasses as a backup to her contacts. The glasses came in after she was already in school and her hours and their hours didnt allow for her to get them adjusted. Dr. Scott recommened that I try a place that offers weekend hours but NOT to pay for an adjustment! He said if it got to that point to call him and he would meet her at the office to do it himself! I call that service!

My son had a cyst on his eye, and Dr. Scott was the only person I would even consider letting remove it. As usual, he was professional, patient, and kind, and he talked us through step by step what he would be doing. Not only was I at ease, my son was, too. We feel like family at Battleground Eye Care, and we wouldnt trust anyone else with the eye care of our family. Thanks to Dr. Scott and the entire staff for taking such great care of us!

I never thought it would be fun to go to the eye doctor, but I actually enjoy the experience at Battleground Eye. Dr. Scott is very laid back and that makes me more relaxed. His staff is friendly and inviting. I wanted to try contacts but didnt think I could do it because my eyes are extremely sensitive, and Lisa got me wearing them with no problems at all! I highly recommend this practice.

I love going to the eye doctor! He is very friendly and works well with both children and adults. My kids like him. I appreciate the fact that no matter how many other patients are in the office or waiting room, he always makes me feel like I am the only one there. He never rushes. I know I have made the right choice for protecting the health of my familys eyes!

Dr. Jon provides the most thorough eye exam Ive ever had (and I went to opthamologists for 30 years). My contacts and glasses are also the best fit/clarity Ive ever had. I am usually in and out of his office within 45 minutes. Fantastic! On top of all of this, Dr. Jon and all of his staff are fun and friendly. I highly recommend!

I was one of Dr. Scotts first patients when he came to this practice and I have been thoroughly pleased with him and the entire staff since. He genuinely cares about his patients and treats them as if they are a member of his own family. If you are looking for an eye doctor in the Greensboro area I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!!
