Was looking on here for MCs standard response with a link to their complaint form. For some reason that doesnt appear on here anymore. I should know since my son posted a review that had that patented response. Directly associated with the experience my son described...here goes... This place should rename their services as Urgent Care, as opposed to a full-fledged Emergency Department. They apparently lack an OR, ICU, etc. for critical care. Which likely was a contributing factor to my dads demise last month. My dad was taken by my family to the ED a little before 8 AM. By a little after 9 AM his blood tests, x-ray, and vitals pointed to his suffering (and I do mean suffering) from renal failure, pleural and pericardial effusions, and severe sepsis. Due to a major infection. At that time the staff there started contacting true hospitals for transferring him out. It was about 10 AM when the staff determined Riverside as the destination. The ambulance didnt arrive until around 10:30 AM. When it did, my family sat behind the empty vehicle for over 40 minutes waiting for my dad to be loaded. While his vitals and condition were deteriorating. When my family asked why the delay, there were told (and I quote) "sometimes health care is slow." My dad didnt arrive to Riverside until around noon. At which point he was going into septic shock and not long thereafter was only kept alive by machines. Reading up about the clinical presentation, recommended treatment, and prognosis of his situation, there is time urgency underscored throughout. As to why the Mount Carmel ED didnt perform a pericardiocentisis to drain the fluid, didnt provide aggressive antibiotic IVs, etc. is beyond my comprehension. Those are measures that definitely appeared on Riversides medical records from that day. Although by then it was too late. Due to Ohio limits for medical malpractice pain and suffering, and due to the prohibitive cost of enlisting qualified medical witnesses, we are not pursuing legal action. But regardless, this facility should label itself as an Urgent Care until it is a full-fledged hospital. Last months chain of events resulted in it taking over 4 hours for my dad to receive true medical care. At which point it was sadly too late.

DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY!!!!!!! I REPET, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE,!!!!!! Went here a while back with a nasty tooth ache. I had a feeling my tooth was infected. Sat in the waiting room for just over 3 hrs. When they finally did call me back there was only 1 other patient in the back. Had a nice nurse come in and ask me a few questions. Asked if I was in pain I answered "yes" but Im not here just because of pain. I have Morphine for pain that I get for my back. Had a really bad fever and was very sick to my stomach. After another hour of sitting in the room. (Now 4hrs) the ER Doctor came in asked me if I receive pain meds from a a pain specialist, I answered "yes"(being truthful) the dr turned and said something to the nurse and walked out. The nurse walked back in and said there is nothing we can do for you here. The dr suggested a nausea pill, discharged me and walked out. I noticed the dr standing and laughing with some co workers on the way out. No other patients back there and at least a dozen in the waiting rm. the next day I went to a different ER and ended up having emergency dental surgery to remove two infected teeth and some infection in my gum. Its a good thing that the infection did not spread into any other parts of my body. I am a little better now, less 2 teeth.....lol I will never return to this facility and every one that I talk to mention how awlful this brand new facility is. I will go out of my way to tell people to not visit this facility because of the lack of treatment and lack of professionalism there. If anyoneelse has had a similar visit please contact me and lets see if we can do something about it.
