Vet care seemed very capable but cost is very high. We have been taking our dogs to the vet in the Akron area since 1992. That Vet was very good but since moving to the Medina area we wanted to start supporting our local community. AMC was very convenient as it is only a couple minutes from our neighborhood. After making the first appointment and asking about fees, we knew the cost was higher than our old Vet, but thought that the capabilities listed on the website were outstanding. We made the first visit and thought that the doctor did a thorough evaluation and recommended a vaccination for our dog that we previously had not heard about. We paid for the initial evaluation as well as the vaccination and were told at this time that this vaccination would require a booster shot in 3 to 4 weeks and the a booster was as simple as scheduling and paying only for the vaccination. Once we called to schedule the booster, we found that we needed to not only pay for the vaccination as was discussed in the office, but we would also need to pay for another evaluation even though the original evaluation was done only 3 weeks prior. When we questioned the second evaluation cost and elevated it to the Office Manager, we were told that AMC has more capabilities than other Vets so their fees are typically higher than others in order to offer all the services that they have available. Our old Veterinarian service in Akron seemed to have very similar capabilities to AMC and we never had seen additional charges for booster shots like this in the nearly 20 years of taking our dogs in for medical care. Based on this experience, we will not be returning to AMC and will be back to taking the 30 minute drive back to the Akron area animal hospital service that we have been using up until now.

Im giving one star for now. Namely, my animal is being hospitalized overnight in their care and since it was an emergency and they were about to close we didnt think to get all of the details. Now its after hours and Id like to know if my loved one is going to survive the night and there is no phone number to call. The office number is a standard greeting with standard information about taking your pet to Akron if theres an after hr emergency. I really think there shoukd be some kind of communication for situations like these. Hospitals and nursing homes give you contact information. I am really disturbed by this. Hopefully I can give more stars, I guess well have to see how the rest of this experience pans out.

Great level of care for my puppy but I didnt like seeing a different vet everytime we went. Plus the cost is outrageous. I have a puppy with recurrent UTIs and was near tears over the cost of drugs and exam fees. I called four other vets in town and found I was being charged twice the going rate. I was told by another vets staff that the reason they are so expensive is they have the best technology and thats what you pay for. Technologys great but I dont want to have to pay twice the normal rate of meds and exams. I will sadly have to change vets due to the cost.

The vet techs kept me updated on his condition and took such good care of him I knew he was with people who really cared about him. What they did was not just a job to them but a caring service. We recently had our cat of 14 years examined because he was having trouble breathing. Unfortunately, after x rays, it was determined that the condition that our cat had was terminal. Dr. Wendt was very caring, patient, compassionate, and informative. We would highly recommend her to anybody, and we will definitely be taking our future pets to her for their care. Thank you Dr. Wendt!!

This clinic is like an emergency clinic. You never see the same Vet, in fact you rarely see the vet at all. Apart from weighing your cat in front of you, They take your cat in the back so that you can not see anything they do to them. It may be good care, but it is impersonal and unlike any other veterinary experience I have had. I switched to a more personal clinic.

Love AMC! The vets take excellent care of our dog and the rewards program helps us save some money on care especially for an older dog. Our dog had a lump removed the day after Christmas two years ago and one of the vets stayed late on New Years Eve just to call us and let us know it was benign. I love the follow up calls after each appointment, too!

Overcharges for service. Please do yourself a favor and shop around. Example; cremation services are twice the going rate in Medina. Same service, twice as much. Unfortunately, you dont think to shop a little if your pet passes away. Makes you wonder if they are taking advantage of the situation a little... Management is useless.

I have taken all four of my pets there and have spent thousands of dollars there. I tried to get my dog in today. He started limping badly at 5:00. I was told that you were booked and to go to an emergency clinic. I am an optometrist, and we aways get our loyal patients in for emergency visits. I am extremely upset!

This place was wonderful, very caring, the last time I was there we had to put our family dog down, it was very hard, but the staff was wonderful, they gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye to our dog, they let us stay as long as we wanted, they were great on one of the worst days of my life.

Great compassionate care from the whole team for our 16 year old Lhaso Mix at the end of her life. We love the fact that there is always a vet & tech on site that are familiar with our pet compared to single vet practices that have to close when the dr is on vacation.

AMC has always given my dogs the best care, the staff and Dr.s are all very knowledgeable and professional. Best care around i would definitely recommend to anyone whos pet care is of the utmost importance. Thanks AMC for always taking great care of Cody!!

AMC is the only place I would take my pet. The staff is professional and compassionate. I have been to many different clinics in Ohio and in other states, and I have not been able to find one that even matches the quality of care that AMC provides.
