This location is in the same grouping as suburban animal hospital. My family and i have used them for years. I took my little Chiuhuhua in there for an abscessed tooth. They said it needed to be extracted so we made the appointment. Dropped him off in the morning and I get a call from the person picking him up that they not only pulled the abscessed tooth, but the pulled a total of 26 teeth without even a single phone call to me. I understand that they must of needed to come out, but they had been in his mouth multiple times to look and I would have assumed that they would have said hey we may have to pull some more. But nope... just surprise oh we pulled 26 teeth.. heres your total. So then complications arose. Multiple times I called because he just wouldnt stop coughing. I was told multiple times just to come in and pick up a prescription. I even asked to speak to the vet who did the surgery when i picked up one of the "guessed" prescriptions and she came out during a dental so I could show her a video of what was happening as they apparently didnt want me to bring him in. She came put hands behind he back and said "oh Im doing a dental and its awfully bloody like your little ones was". Now really? I understand surgery, Ive had them before, but for that comment to be made just proved that I had made the wrong decision. It came down to one Saturday morning when I finally called and said look something is wrong. This little guy has coughed for 4 days now. They squeezed me into their schedule and I took him in. She examined him, told me she wanted to take some X-RAYS and brought me into the x-ray room, showed me the screen and said heres what it is.. hes got an enlarged heart... aka congestive heart failure. Put him on a pill and off I went. He continued to cough, and things sounded like fluid so I took him in again and she put him on a water pill. Basically told me its a matter of time. So I wasnt accepting that answer due to the circus I had gone through and called another vet that came highly recommended to me. From the get go it was amazing! When I called the new vet (not either suburban or kentown) they were friendly, and you werent asked to hold right away. We needed up taking him in for an exam, met with the new Drs and come to find out that by little one did not have congestive heart failure, and he shouldnt have been on all the water pills... here the poor little guy has had indigestion that was caused from the intubation. So off all the meds he came, onto acid reflux medication he went and he was back to his good old self. So I know this is a long review, but please heed my warning. If you go to this vet be sure to see Dr. Schroeth, or Dr. Clark. Do not let them stick you with the new Dr. there.

Very disappointed with this hospital. I am ashamed to admit I actually recommended this place to my friends and family. I took my dog here to get neutered, and let me add that I have had this appointment for a month. I came in and had some difficulty with my dog who requires a muzzle. The staff just stood there and stared at me. Did not offer to help hold the dog or anything, literally stood in a group and stared. So then the doctor on staff, who isnt the doctor I spoke with about the neutering, told me to take the dog all the way home and give him a tranquilizer. So spend money on a tranquilizer, go all the way home, then try getting my 90 lb dog, on a tranqualizer, in the car by myself. Want to know why they were telling me to leave? Because they over booked. So I booked an appointment, stopped feeding my dog at 12am due to the procedure requirements, sat around in the hospital with no help from staff, and was basically told to leave. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND

Dr. Clark is a GREAT vet, but its too bad that hes chosen such lousy staff. Every time I call there I get yet another snotty person on the phone that makes comments when I try to make an appointment. Ive even witnessed how mean they are to others when Im in the waiting room. How they still have any business is beyond me. I think most of the people there need to find new jobs because its obvious they are burned out with what they do. Theyve forgotten that you also have to treat PEOPLE good too, not just the animals. Ive since taken my pets elsewhere.

We have been taking our boxers there for a decade. The old doctor was great! The new doctor is great at giving shots but not diagnosing problems or treating them! You almost have to self diagnose your pet for her! I honestly do not think she has a clue what she is doing! I never write reviews but my boxers mean the world to me and I couldnt imagine anything happening to them due to the lack of knowledge at this place! Like I said they are great at giving shots and I will be taking my boxers elsewhere

My family has been taking all of our pets here for years. Surgeries have always gone well and regular check-ups and vaccines a breeze. The 3 doctors have very different personalities, but they, along with the techs, get the job done & I love how they can discuss strategies with each other. Only downside is sometime the wait time can be long for nonemergency appointments.

I have always had great service with Kentown. I have taken all of my animals here for over 10 years and have never had any problems. They are very quick to get you in for the appointment and I have always been treated very courteously by the entire staff. I highly recommend Kentown to anyone I know with a pet.

They have always been wonderful to me and my two little dogs. I will continue to bring my papillions to them and Suburban animal hospital. My sister and a friend also take their dogs to them!!
