I moved to the area and needed a new vet. I seen an advertisement for Kindness and took my dog there. Vet visits with a distressed dog are very trying for both the pet and owner so it took me quite a few visits to discover how pushy this vet is for surgeries and expensive treatments that might be completely unnecessary. My dog had a tumor poking out of her cooter. Not knowing what it was I took her in. They diagnosed it, and told me tumors are tricky and they didnt want to be the ones to do the spay surgery and recommended a specialist. The tumor when back inside on its own and we decided that at 10 years old we didnt want to put her through surgery so wed make her comfy. A couple months later, she had a high fever and was acting lethargic. I immediately took her to Kindness and she was diagnosed with pyometra. They took X-rays, but oddly enough, never said whether it was opened or closed, just that she needed a $1600 surgery and she might not survive it but they were more than willing to try (yet months before they didnt want perform the surgery to spay her and told me to take her to a specialist? I guess since the odds werent the greatest this time of her surviving they didnt mind trying to take my money). I was extremely upset and distraught, they kept trying to push care credit on me so Id give the green light for the surgery and they also told me at that time the X-rays showed her tumors may be cancerous and had possibly metastasized to her lungs--it wasnt definitive, but the vet said in her personal opinion my dog had 6-8 months to live if she was able to make it through the pyometra surgery because of the cancer. With everything stacked against her, I told my vet Id like to give her antibiotics and take her home to say our goodbyes and wed have her euthanized if she got worse. Remarkably, she immediately got better with the antibiotic. (All my research said pyometra is nearly impossible without surgery, and shes had another heat without it recurring, so I have to wonder if she was misdiagnosed?) Fast forward 5 months, my dog had appeared fine, happy and healthy until she came down with a horrible cough. Took her right in, could hear a crackle when shed breathe. They diagnosed her via X-ray (and then doubted the tumors were cancerous because her lungs hadnt gotten worse) with a collapsing trachea and a heart murmur. She was coughing so hard she also had a prolapsed vagina. They told me itd be $4-500 to put her vagina back in, and that id want to do it within a week. Never told me what to do about keeping the exposed vaginal tissue healthy. Prescribed antibiotic, cough medicine, and never did anything about the heart murmur. Once she started taking the cough medicine, her coughing wasnt as bad, but was still present and her cooter went back in on its own, but she was still coughing and had crackles when shed breathe. After a few weeks of it not getting any better with the medication I decided it was time for a second opinion because the treatment kindness provided wasnt working. The new vet immediately diagnosed her with a stage 3 heart murmur and told me she should have been put on a heart medication and a diuretic when she was seen at kindness because all her current problems were stemming from that. They also said in her condition, they would NOT consider her to be a candidate for any kind of surgery, but yet, kindness was always pushing for them and my dog never needed them in the end. Suffice to say, $50 later at the new vet, (who had the same goal as my dog and I of keeping her comfortable until the end-and he stated she had some good quality time left) we both left happy. My dog has taken her new medications every 12 hours for the last few months and has been so happy and full of life youd never know she has any medical conditions.

We have been patients at Kindness for 5 years now. Weve given them all our business and have spent thousands. Although they were always nice and took care our needs i think this is why i was so shocked that they actually turned us away. Our dog got a severe cut that they said needed staples and stitches. She was in pain already there and they would not touch her because we didnt have $200! I understand its a busuness but if they really were "Kindness" they would have worked with us.. Really ? Leave her literally bleeding to death in thier office.. Funny ...if they found a stray outside the door that needed a $2000 surgery they would do it for publicity!!! I just want to say " very disappointed" sad how money means more to that doctor than my dogs life!!!

I took my cat to a vet hospital in Fort Myers and they told me that my cat mostly had neurological problems and would probably have to be put down if I wouldnt pay the $1000 for a CAT scan. They "watched" him over night and when I picked him up the next day he was not only worse but it cost me $450. That same day I took my cat to Kindness. Animal Hospital and the vet took one look at him and diagnosed him with an inner ear infection and gave me medicine to put in his ear. He was better that night and fully recovered in a couple days. Not only was this visit only $250, but the check up visit a few days later was free. I cant thank this vet clinic enough!

I brought my cat Camille in last week because she was not feeling well. Dr. Isaacson found that she had swallowed a toy bell . Dr. Isaacson performed surgery that very day, and now Camille is recovering well with pain meds and antibiotics. Dr. Isaacson and the staff at Kindness East are awesome. Very compassionate, and they are an AAHA hospital. The most excellent and competent veterinary care available.

My experiences with Kindness Animal Hospital have been exceptionally wonderful. The expertise of their doctors and staff and the individual attention they give to me and my dogs is exemplary. I trust them implicitly with health issues and Camp Kindness is our "place to go" when my dogs need a boarding facility. Kindness Is Family......I recommend them highly.

The vet and staff are very friendly, but services are VERY expensive. Also vet pushes unnecessary procedures that cost 2-3 times more than other local vets. 3 stars because they are good people, but if you want equal care at much better pricing, then shop around!

They are the most expensive Vet around. There are so many other options to choose from. They are certainly nice enough, yet so are the others.. and at a better price for the same service. Why pay extra when you dont have to?
