I have been taking my cats to emerald for a few years now. And as long as I make an appointment, there is no problem. Last Friday I called 50 minutes before they closed. I told the girl my cat was not eating, not drinking, not peeing, vomiting and was very lethargic. I asked if I could bring him in. She said, "well we are closing in less then a hour. You might want to call an emergency clinic" I said ok. Well thinking it was nothing to worry about, I waited until my next day off. Sunday I called the emergency clinic in Parma. I told the receptionist the same thing. She said they had a 3 hour wait and I SHOULD NOT WAIT 3 HOURS!!!!! She gave me another number to call. I took him to a clinic in Bedford Ohio . When I explained what was going on, the vet immediately came out and rushed my cat in the back. I was told he had a blockage in his urinary track which was deadly. Along with very painful. They admitted him and are doing what is necessary to bring my Lou-C back home. Had I known it was deadly and painful, I would have re-acted faster. But the girl at emerald made it seem like no big deal. In talking to a friend of mine at work. She had the same experience a few months back when her cat was wounded somehow. Will I continue to go to emerald? Not a chance. Seems like they are to worried about going home then helping the animals they supposedly dedicated their lives to. That kind of dedication, I can do without.

My cat Morris, aka"mori" had something horrible happen to his tail, It was split down the middle about halfway down, and above the split it was broken. We took him to Emerald , to see if they could help save his tail. Unfortunately when a cats tail is broken this way it can not be fixed, we were devastated, his tail had to be amputated, he was in a lot of pain, Dr Lindsay gave us some pain meds for him and scheduled his surgery, They took extremely good care of my boy, who doesnt like to be away from us, he has a tail that is about 3 in long now, but it looks as if he Was Born that way. Again me and my wife would like to thank the doctors and staff at Emerald, my Mori is good as new, and because of their wonderful care has a great future. From my heart I tell you this, take your pets to Emerald you will not find better care, and they are very reasonably priced. Also.

Adopted a dog from the APL and they send me to this clinic cause it was close to me for a free checkup, it actually cost me almost $400 for labs and x-rays they overcharge me $2, called me that night to come back next day so they can return my money, the girl didnt even bother she told me just to leave it as credit for next visit even tho they called and told me to stop by. Days later I go back for my dog results and they couldnt gave me the x-rays stating that they were "clinic property". I paid $160 for 2 x-rays and they never told me that they were gonna keep em. Im just feeling ripped off right now, I feel like because I love my puppy they can do whatever they want and Im gonna pay for it. Im so disappointed. Never coming back.

My wife and I have taken our Olde English Bulldog, Brooklyn, to Emerald Animal Hospital since we have had her. They treat us very well everytime we are in there. Our last visit there was to have her spayed. She came through with flying colors.... and the staff eased my wifes nervousness about the surgery. The 5-star finishing touch on the whole thing is the phone call that my wife received the next day from Emerald Animal Hospital, checking on Brooklyn to see how she was doing and making sure everything was ok. That is top notch service from a top notch staff. Thank you to the entire staff for everything.

My wife and I had a cat named Cat. They helped keep Cat alive for 16 years. Had a special breed boxer Maxx, hundred and fifty pounds no fat. They kept him healthy for 14 years. Now I have a Shepherd Rottweiler mix, brought him home at 6 weeks old, at the age of one he was going downhill, I actually had to carry him in my arms to Emerald City, they saved his life and now hes on a daily pill to keep them alive. Thanks to Emerald City he has been in our family for 8 years now, happy and playful as ever. My family and I owes his life to Emerald Animal Hospital/ Clinic.

Dr. Smith called me on a Sunday afternoon, regarding my dogs Tuesday grooming appointment. Dr. Smith needed to make a house call that morning, and wanted to ensure that my dog did not need any veterinary attention. I told her my dog did not, and thanked her for the call. This is just the most recent example of the outstanding service that Emerald Animal Hospital provides. Both the veterinarians and staff are wonderful, professionable, and personable. I wouldnt take my dog anywhere else!

I took my cat here after just moving to the area and I definitely feel I made the right choice! They were helpful from the very first phone call. They were also very reasonably priced and made sure Gordo was more than taken care of before we left. The girls even sent us a welcome card and called the next week to make sure his treatment was effective. I highly recommend them!

This is a great team for anyone to take their animal to. They know that animals are like children and make sure they educate you on everything they are doing. Everyone on staff makes sure they keep up to date on everything from licence holding to education about new things They want what is best for the animal and their owner.
