Through the happy and sad, Parma Animal Hospital has been a personable and loving facility. My family has been happily caring for our pets with PAH for somewhere around 50 years. I see from the comments below, that other families have also been trusting PAH through the generations and that makes me so happy to know that other people see their great qualities as well. When I visit with my pets, I feel like the staff loves them just as much as I do. We are currently planning a visit with my cat to have some blood work done and I trust that I will get honest and accurate answers to our questions. I have also had losses, which were by no fault of the intelligent and caring staff. Losses are sad and I still have a hard time accepting that my furry family members are gone, but I know that together, we did everything that we could to give my pets happy and comfortable end of life care. I could never place the blame on PAH. Age, illness or just a routine check-up: PAH does everything to make before, during and after a visit the most comfortable for their patients with the goal of a long and healthy life. That being said, I cannot imagine finding anywhere else that has top notch pet care like them. I hope that when I have children, they get to grow up knowing that their puppies and kittens are well taken care of by a staff that has maintained excellence for decades. I will continue the trend and encourage my future generations, and friends to seek pet care with PAH...and I encourage anyone who reads this to check them out, too. You will not regret it. :) I feel very sorry for anyone who loses a furry family member. Saying goodbye is just heartbreaking, but throwing false accusations cannot help anyone. Procedures on pets are always a little risky but some situations are more sensitive than others and sometimes age has a lot to do with the tolerance of invasive procedures. We are all made aware of the risks. Perhaps the "many" people who wrote similar reviews have had just as much trouble letting go. Losses are never easy even if we get to prepare, and sometimes seeking professional help can allow one to hop over the hurdles of grieving.

Whoever wrote if you want to keep your animals alive-don’t take them to Parma Animal Hospital was “dead” on. The state veterinary board and found them to have multiple violations and my personal experience can back that up. I have been reading reviews about PAH that go back years and their practice of killing healthy, defenseless animals seems to be a pattern. Worse yet-the whole staff conspires to cover it up-not one honest one among them. When you ask the vet why your pet died in their care-he just says I “think” this and I “suspect” that-he doesn’t ever say he “knows” anything. Just what you want-a vet that doesn’t KNOW ANYTHING. The truth is they know what killed your pet-they did. The entire staff is old and so are their procedures, equipment and treatments. They are all out-dated and prove to be a risk to any pet brought there. Don’t take your pet there and risk having them killed. You can’t protect them once they are in the hands of these heartless dinosaurs. You will just be left with a sick feeling knowing you took them there for help and instead lost them forever because of these twisted, cruel animal killers. If you or if you know of anybody who has had a pet killed or harmed by Parma Animal Hospital, encourage them to write the state veterinary board. They must be stopped before they claim more victims! The address is www.ovmlb.ohio.gov. There is power in numbers so spread the word. Our beloved pets can’t speak for themselves-so we have to speak for them. These idiots won’t do the right thing and just shut down, so maybe enough complaints will do the job. They want to hurt as many pets and their owners as possible. This place is pure evil-don’t ever take a pet here.

I have been taking my dogs here since they were puppies, my parents have also taken their dogs here as well. We have been loyal customers for over 15 yesrs. I have been happy with their veterinary care for quite some time, everyone is very nice and welcoming, they all genuinely seem to care about my dogs. However, I have recently seen that they are way too "old school" in their practices. Z had an ear hematoma and their only solution was to do surgery on her, which was not an option that I was willing to go forward with. I got a second opinion and the issue was resolved without any surgery. Fast forward to the other day, when she actually had her first check up at the new vet, IMMEDIATELY the vet asked if Z had any previously diagnosed heart issues. I come to find out that she has a cardiac arrythmia. HOW IN THE WORLD DOES A VET YOU TAKE YOUR DOG TO 6 YEARS FOR NOT FIND THIS!! This should have been discovered 6 years ago. I will NEVER take my dogs there again.

My whole family has used PAH as long as i can remember. I moved from parma a few years ago and tried 3 other vets closer to my home. What a nightmare. I wont go into detail but I am now back at PAH where they care about the animals they treat. Thank You to all the Dr.s and aides at the hospital. You are wonderful caring people. Sincerely Linda S

The Lynn person at the front desk is extremely rude and lazy. Why are you affiliate with animal service if you are not willing to help people with their animal care?
