Worst "Animal Hospital" (if you can even call it that) I have ever been to. Would not have rated them even one star if I didnt have to in order to write this review. They dont deserve any amount of public satisfaction. Do not count on them for anything if you want to keep your pets healthy or alive. They misdiagnose, they administer wrong medications that make your pets condition worse (cant decide if this is because of their lack of education or to ensure their own job security by keeping you coming back), theyre blatantly biased about pet breeds, they judge you for where they think your pet came from, and they blame you for whatever is wrong with your pet. All of which I have experienced multiple times over the course of 5+ years, first-hand, with multiple pets seen by multiple veterinarians. Same horrible service every time. Ive already lost two dogs and cat because of them and have since then almost lost three more dogs. I will be taking my pets elsewhere from now on. Wouldve done so much earlier had I not invested far too much hope in my familys trusted choice vet (not anymore) for the past 10+ years. Important Side Note: They no longer offer (they used to years ago and were the only ones in Wilkes that ever did to my knowledge) 24/7 emergency care. Which was great when my dog was attacked by a coyote on a Sunday night and I had to drive an hour away to get her the help she desperately needed immediately. Do not judge this office based on their friendly receptionists or the few amount of decent reviews theyve received. Do not be deceived into thinking that anyone there cares about anything other than their damn paychecks.

My took my precious cat Phoebe to this vet. They diagnosed her with haemobartonellosis. They prescribed her flea treatment, nutrition pills, ect. At the end of the visit I was charged over $100. I went home and followed all the the steps that the vet gave me. That night, she had a seizure. The next morning I googled the symptoms of haemobartonellosis. None of her symptoms matched haemobartonellosis. Her symptoms matched liver cancer. Phoebe died that day. My cat died within 24 hours of taking her to this vet! After her being misdiagnosed, then being charged $100, and then her dying within 24 hours of me taking her to this vet. I must say that I am never going back here. I have had Pheobe for 5 years and I miss her every single day. I am writing this review because I feel that it had to be done. I dont know if I was scammed by this vet, or if he genuinely didnt know what he was doing. You be the judge.

I cant tell you how thoughtful and caring this Vet is ..From the Staff to the Dr.s ...I had took my Boxer to get fixed at another Vet , that ended up not caring for my Roxy , so they put her to sleep today , they was no saving my little Baby, but they let me love her and hold her till I was Ready, Youre never ready but anyway I went to get credit card to pay them and they would not even take a payment..I cant go back and change things God if I could , I would have took my Roxy to them to begin with..So I would Like to say Thank You from the Bottom of my HEART..I couldnt have asked for any-one as caring as yall was to just have met me and Roxy too..Yall truly love animals yall Heart is in the Right Place..Thank Yall Again..

I cant begin to describe how impressed we are with Dr. Aderhold and the rest of the staff here. We reached out to them when we couldnt find anyone available or willing to operate on our maltese-pomeranian mix (Rosie) after shed been seriously injured last week. Not only was the price for her operation incredibly reasonable, Rosie has quickly bounced back to her sweet self and seems not to be in anymore pain! Dr. Aderhold took the extra step to clearly explain everything to us concerning Rosies injury and how he resolved it. I cant stress enough how grateful we are and how highly we recommend bringing your animal here!

The Animal Hospital of Wilkes is a great place to take your fur babies. We took our 10 year old poodle there and was really impressed with the facility. It is very neat and clean inside and out. The staff is really friendly. You and your pet will be treated in a very friendly, professional way. I left feeling very confident that they cared about the health and well being of my baby. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for professional care for their pet.

Dr Aderhold (&all the staff of course) was amazing. He did a very challenging knee surgery for Angel, a Great Pyrenees. She could hardly walk- apx 5 mos after surgery, she was bouncing and playing like a puppy. I completely trust the people here. its nearly a 2 hour drive for me- they are worth every mile.

They dont cost you an arm and a leg. They do not cut corners when it comes to the care of an animal. We recently boarded our dogs for "3" days and it only costed 140. I was shocked ! Very reasonable....Great group of doctors or my boys wouldnt be there going on 9 yrs.
