I give 5 stars for the caring of my dog but no score for the actual outcome and here is why, First of all never use Kindness animal hospital as they totally miss diagnosed my dog and Viscaya Prado veterinary hospital repaired my dogs pancreas but paid no attention to his failing liver, they said there was nothing they could do and believed he had tumors, VCA discovered he had no tumors or cancer and all his organs were functioning well other than a infected liver and a scale rating 6 regarding his heart murmur, his liver was recovering, all signs were excellent he was even beginning to play again and all his bowel movements and urination were excellent in color and on time, FINDING THE RIGHT VETERAN VET IS KEY TO ANY POSSIBLE RECOVERY FROM DISEASES IS CRUCIAL, I talked with a Vet for 2 hours with a full lifetime of experience in infectious diseases, He said my dog should never been put on steroids because his heart condition unless proven to have Chronic Active Hepatitis by Biopsy only and he always recommends this biopsy, other wise he uses standard antibiotics and liver supports along with Plavix to help keep from clotting, If the dog is showing no sign of recovery then he assumes it to be Chronic then begins a steroid regimen as a last resort, the dog was sitting by the back door paralyzed screaming, he was waiting to go outside when this occurred, he definitely did not jump off furniture because the furniture is in another room, The Professional believes all symptoms have left him with a Spinal Stroke from a blood clot, MY DOG HAD NO CHANCE BECAUSE I USED A VET WITH IMPROPER EXPERIENCE The bottom line is look for a vet that has a full lifetime of experience and your chances of success are greatly increased, I am crushed I went here!! I am crushed I went to a hack that killed my dog with the wrong medication and the ugly fat red head there did not need to give me the evil eye the whole time she walked by me, its a Florida HACK THING is the bottom line!!!

My cat had a blockage. I came in and they wanted to charge me over $1000 for his treatment. When i said i didnt have that much, they said well then lets euthanize him. We made a deal for over $800. they sent him home later that day fully knowing that these blockages return right away if not catherized for several days. Brought him back the next day since he was blocked again and this time the same treatment plan (vet from the first day wasnt there) was suddenly triple. When i started crying because i did not have the funds i was immediately told let;s euthanize him then. I was able to get a care credit card and they handed him back three days later and he was blocked again. I went to viscaya vet and they did the PU surgery for less than $400. Also they let pet owners make payments instead of telling them to euthanize their pet. I wouldnt bring a lizard back to this place. only out to make money off people and change their treatment quotes depending on the vet and day.

And this is why I think they are all crooks - VCA Miracle Mile quoted 758.90 on the phone (give or take extractions that are extra and a 50.00 lipoma removal that was probably going to be more but quoted at 50.00 with other vets). By the time they were done we wasted half a day and stress on my dogs for a corrected estimate of $1,460.89. THAT is why I get estimates ahead of time so you dont waste my time and money in exam fees. The vets down here literally bleed you dry. Now looking out of town and possibly out of state. I am so DONE with the Lee County thieving vets! An extra $177.65 for anesthesia for removal of the lipoma WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY DOWN FOR THE CLEANING????? Oh, its because they have to move them from the teeth cleaning room to the surgery room. Funny that Ive called 13 other vets in Lee County and they can do it in the same surgery but you cant????? Shows me you arent qualified. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE....THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED AND ARE THIEVES.

I took my cockapoo here the other day because his skin wasnt looking too good and to get any shots he needed to be updated on. Dr. Wilson said Kirby had skin allergies, and instead of just telling me what I needed to buy and do, he took his time to explain exactly what was going on with his skin. It is nice to actually have a vet who is willing to take his time answering your questions and not rushing through the examination like many other vets do. The doctor also understood that I was on a budget, so he just gave Kirby the vaccines that he absolutely needed (unlike many vets who will insist on having you pay for unnecessary shots). The staff was also very nice, and I got my first examination for free!

I took my young male cat in for an exam as he was limping for past couple of weeks. He isnt eating or looking for love as he always does. Dr Bradley and the staff were courteous, professional, compassionate, and thorough in looking for the source of Bullys pain. X-rays showed arthritic degeneration and a fractured knee. He needs orthopedic surgery, but the distressing news was that it cant be guaranteed that other joints wont have the same problem down the road. As a family of our young little guy, Bully, is the need for a decision to do surgery at great cost, or euthanize him. I trust that no matter the decision, VCA MMAH will be kind, compassionate, and sympathetic.

Definitely the friendliest, most professional animal hospital, and I highly recommend it. My family has been taking our two labradors, as well as various cats and a few rabbits there for years, and weve always been satisfied and happy with the help and care we and our pets have received. VCA also works with CROW Animal Rescue, and over the years Ive delivered them several injured/abandoned animals (egrets, robins, squirrels, etc) that I ordinarily would have had no idea how to deal with. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I took my dog to VCA this week as she was in significant pain. Dr. Thomas was excellent - cheerful, sensitive and professional. The diagnostic process was very good - other veterinarians were consulted within the center as well. The staff at this hospital are kind and respectful. Dr. Thomas followed up to be sure my dog was recovering well. I am traveling and use VCA at home in Massachusetts. I was relieved to get similar care here in Fort Meyers. Very pleased with Dr. Thomas and the staff at this VCA.

Great facility it is large and clean with some friendly staff. We had an appointment on a day when they were short staffed so we ended up waited an extra hour to get into an exam room. The vet finely came out and looked and acted like she was right out of collage. They sent us home without emptying our dogs absess with antibiotics and have not called with our dogs test results 3 days after they said they would. Over all Im a little disappointed as this place got great reviews and looked very nice.

Had a fine experience with the way the vets and techs treated my dog. But MASSIVELY overcharged me. This is my first dog , and I think they definitely took advantage of that rather than explaining to me all of the options I had, etc. Went here twice and both times left feeling more confused than when I went in. Compared prices to people at my job, some who have much larger dogs/older dogs/dogs and cats and everyone said I was totally handled. Kind to the animals, but will swindle the uninformed.
