Treated like a $$ sign, not a valued patient. They agreed to combine crowns and fillings in 1 visit under sedation dentistry. Completed crowns (high $$ value service), but refused to do agreed fillings (low $$ service), despite the lag time while preparing crowns. Dr. Nabors pressured me to have procedure (comparing it to his MILs colon cancer), then failed to perform 1/2 of it! Dr. Nabors, if you only prescribe "necessary services," then why did you only perform 1/2 of the "recommended and necessary services?" Now, I have to go through another traumatic dental procedure. Was there not time to do 2 fillings while you were preparing my crowns? After the 4th pill you gave me (which knocked me out for 18 hours), I would think you could have managed to squeeze in a couple of fillings. YOU knew my history, YOU recommended the procedures, YOU scheduled the appointment, YOU prescribed the pharmaceuticals (including the additional pill you got from the back of your office -- for a total of 4 Halcion tablets), and YOU refused to complete the services YOU agreed to perform. What you did to me was beyond unprofessional. I would have paid double the price to have all the dental work done at once. You wont get another chance to betray my patient trust, and I will tell everyone I encounter how badly I was treated by you. Your staff has always been professional, you, not so much. P.S. I called your office 4 days ago to discuss my concerns. The young man I spoke with said I would receive a call back, but so far, I have not! You say below in response to another unfortunate patients complaint, there are 2 sides to every story. Please, enlighten me as to why you didnt perform ALL of the agreed services, only the high value ones. I await your response.

DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BALANCE A CHECK BOOK. I had to argue with this location for over A YEAR before they would place a cap on my tooth that had already been paid for. Thank the Lord that my grandmother had paid for it and had keep records on her credit cards to get it straightened out... It TOOK A YEAR...and a few months. I decided that had to be an accident. I decided to continue there for the rest of my treatment plan. I PAID IN FULL ON A CREDIT CARD, AGAIN... UNDER THEIR GUIDANCE. Every time my appointment was close they would call and tell me that I still had to pay. My insurance was not going to be covering anymore and I would have to pay out of pocket. I HAD ALREADY PAID IN FULL ON A CREDIT CARD. I had decided to add something on right before they had ran this card. Now that it is nearing the end of all the work I have already paid for they are telling me that I STILL OWE MORE. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Now Im mad, but really I just want to warn patients and future patients. 1. AVOID PAYING IN FULL. ITS A HEADACHE. 2. MAKE SURE TO GET A VERY VERY DETAILED COPY OF YOUR TREATMENT PLAN (AND KEEP IT) ESPECIALLY IF SOMETHING IS DECIDED ON LAST MINUTE. 3. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THE FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT CAN ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOB.

I founded the Dental Lodge based on the simple fact that I want to be HONEST and provide the BEST dental care to those who come to us with dental problems. In response to the two negative reviews it is important to take into consideration that there are two sides to every story. As a doctor who specializes in dental surgery I have never prescribed treatment in my career that was not absolutely necessary for the well being of the patient and their mouth. Although a patient may not agree with what I prescribe that does not mean its not needed or that Im "up-selling" anything. We are a healthcare provider where services from a dental surgeon do have a cost. We annually adjust our prices in order to remain competitive and fair. Having performed thousands of dental procedures and successfully treated thousands of patients I am confident that I can resolve any misunderstanding or miscommunication by way of respectful communication. It is my hope that anyone who might have a concern would call and speak in such a manner to our office manager Jamie Solomon so that she can facilitate a reasonable and timely solution. Thanks for reading this response!!

The Best! Ive been a Registered Dental Assistant for 20 yrs. & worked at the Dental Lodge for 2 1/2 yrs. I had to leave for medical reasons over 2 yrs. ago. I have worked with and assisted over 27 dentists in my career in So. CA & Central OK, and I can say without hesitation that Dr. Nabors is the BEST! He just made me a 4 unit bridge in his office in a matter of hours and its perfect! He and his staff (he hires only the best!) and colleagues are unsurpassed in their knowledge, technical advances, patient care and the best "customer service" Ive ever experienced. Its not just me, when I worked there everyone that walked in that door was treated the same; awesome, with warmth, respect, empathy and genuine compassion. I will continue to recommend The Dental Lodge & Dr. Nabors (and Dr. Smith who is also great!) to everyone I meet because they are THAT GOOD! 27 dentists! Ive seen it all, good, bad & ugly but my final job as an assistant turned out to be the very best! Thank you Dr. Nabors!!!

Ive never been more at ease at a dentists office than at The Dental Lodge! My kids even enjoy going. They have such a cozy atmosphere and amazing staff, who are all so friendly and helpful. Even getting procedures done, like cavities, which in years before made me so sick with anxiety, are a breeze! I have a big fear of needles, so having to get the novacaine was always what terrified me. The Dental Lodge has a great topical anesthetic that works so well, I dont even feel the pinch of the injection. No more anxiety at the dentist! I cannot say enough good about Dr. Nabors and his staff. They are purely amazing! My family has followed him through his last year of dental school, and the different practices he worked for until he was able to open the Dental Lodge...thats how much we love him as our family dentist!

If you are looking for a high end dentist, then this is the place. April the hygienist gave me a nice cleaning. She was gentle and very nice to visit with. What I thought was the neatest part was when she used a little camera to take some close up photos of my teeth to show how I was doing. I also had my exam done by Dr. Smith, (meow). After he visited with me, the manager gave me prices right away of what I needed to have done and told me what my insurance was going to pay. He told me that I only had to pay my part at my next appointment and that they file everything for me. WOW! I could not believe how smooth and easy the appointment was, and how super nice everyone is. Their offices lodge theme is way cozy/cool too!

I just switched to Dental Lodge in Norman - I was anxious about it, as I have been a client at a different office all my life until now. But they exceeded my expectations with their individual attention and making sure I was comfortable. They repaired a filling for me from a really bad cavity. They took the time to make sure it was totally numb after many shots of anithesia in my mouth. They patiently waited for the numbness to spread before working on it. When I left there, it was 15 minutes after their close time which goes to show they were going out of their way to make sure I wasnt in pain during my filling. I have my next 6 month cleaning scheduled. I will continue to go back!
