There are so many good independent dental offices out there. These corporate owned dental offices are not patient friendly. Here is a description of their most recent shenanigans. Aspen Dental, a national dentistry chain with at least 27 Massachusetts locations, agreed to pay $990,000 to settle allegations by Attorney General Martha Coakley that it defrauded consumers. Under the agreement, Aspen Dental will provide at least $770,000 in restitution to first-time customers that the state alleged were forced to pay for exams and x-rays that the company said would be free. The company will contact people who are eligible for refunds, and it will also pay the Commonwealth $220,000.

After watching the commercials for Aspen Dental that touted dentures starting at $399, I felt I had found a solution to my dental problems. I needed my teeth extracted and replaced with dentures. I drove the nearly two hour drive to find a very friendly and professional team. After x-rays and consultation I sat down with the financial assistant only to discover the dentures were $1,700 each and my total bill would be over $7,000! I felt it was a bait and switch situation. For all my efforts to save for this, I wasnt even close to what I needed and if I had the nearly $300 payment for their credit plan, Id have health insurance! Was an eye-opening experience.

I went in with a sore tooth and came home with bleeding gums. They said I have moderate periodontal disease, and Im seeking a second opinion, but about 2 weeks after my visit, I pulled out what appeared to be a popcorn kernel from my gums, and immediately my gums began to heal. Im not accusing them (yet) but my mouth was torn up after I left there. They are also not wanting to honor a 90 day guarantee on my husbands dentures, which we might have to file in small claims court for that. They scare me and now Im even more terrified to go to the dentist. Most alarming to me is that my gums DID NOT BLEED BEFORE I WENT THERE, and the bleeding is finally stopping.

Dr. Kahn is one outstanding dentist. Hes a great teacher to his staff and patients. I have never liked a single dentist in my life until I met Dr. Kahn. I say this because dentist HURT YOU AT A VERY HIGH PRICE!!! That is a painful experience anyway you look at it. Not to mention excruciating pain in your mouth and wallet.!! Dr.Kahn showed that he cared to me with every single option and every price. This is the first online review Ive ever wrote to. With all do respect, the Aspen Dental location off West 24th street, south of Embassy Suites, is a great place to go. Nothing super fancy, just a great dentist.

I would not recommend Aspen Dental... I took my boyfriend there, when I called to set up appt. I was told the exam and xrays would be free, since he has no insurance and new patient. Well thats was not the case, he was charged anyways. Then I had to take him back 5 days later to pull his tooth, cause they couldnt do it the day we was there. He had an infection, so we go back and of course we pd to have tooth pulled. We get back home, for him to realize they had pulled the WRONG TOOTH!!! so he still has tooth pain, so that was a waste of almost 250.00 dollars!!! Whats wrong with ppl now days!!!

6 months ago, I would say I really liked this dental office, but after scheduling my next cleaning 6 months in advanced, I was canceled on not once, but twice. Apparently they only employ one hygienist, and an unreliable one at that. The first canceled appointment could not be rescheduled for an entire month and the 2nd canceled appointment (no reason given, just that they were closing the office for the afternoon), was going to take another month the reschedule. Ive always gotten quick appointments in the past 2 years, so I dont know what is going on.

The wait time was extremely long. I felt the front girl talks extremely loud and unprofessional. I guess there was a student with Dr. Khan that did not get introduced to me until my mouth was wide open. I was expecting a tooth cleaning and did not receive one. I felt The hygienist was rushing through the consultation of my gums. On top of everything they recommended very expensive plans that I never heard of. The only pleasant part of my visit was visiting with Jenae the Dental assistant. She was nice and she knows what shes doing. Give her a raise!

I didnt dislike Aspen Dental , I need a tooth pulled because it is broken and keeps getting infected, Im on Coumadin so I had already been off the Coumadin for x amount of days and was ready and needed my tooth pulled , instead I get almost a 4000.00 plan they want done which Im sure I need but because of the Coumadin and the pain I really just wanted the 1 tooth pulled so I could get back on my Coumadin, before I die from a blood clot !! I have every intention on trying to make this happen as soon as possible if they will follow my wishes. ?.?

Thank you so much for your help when my bridge broke and fell out. Within one day I was seen, evaluated,had my teeth cleaned, teeth pulled and filled and partial received. All without costing me an arm and a leg. It is all up to me now what I get done and when. My dentist was amazing, really wanted to make sure I was doing ok. My dental assistant Sidney, never left my side while having my teeth filled and removed. Cared for me. I love this place. Have already recommended it to a friend. chantel Jones

Doesnt even deserve that. Having bad tooth pain go in to office and they didnt even do anything to help me. said they have to wait on my benefit and 2 days later still havent heard back. They dont even care that I can eat because the pain is so bad. Then they dont want to give me my records to go somewhere else say it they cant because of hippa but the are stupid and dont realize I work for a doctor I know hippa guidelines. NEVER GO HERE unless you want them to take you money and not do anything for you.

My adult son (27) woke with a horrible tooth ache. I called an "Emergency" dental site that said walk-ins welcome, same day service, (this was a Friday) and explained he needed to be seen and the reason. They could NOT see him until the next week.....lol I then called Aspen Dental who was closing at 1p.m. and they DID see him. The were very accommodating, thorough and competent and he will be using them as his primary from now on. I highly recommend Aspen Dental in Norman Ok.!!!

They got me in within a day for a serious problem, reassured me, worked out a plan to give me back my smile. They are wonderful! Everyone at this office is stellar. Dr. Manwe, Gabbi the assistant, just everyone made me feel relaxed. I especially liked the fact that they gave me an option,and were honest enough to tell me that one of the choices was just going to prolong things for a while, cost a lot, and still end up with going the other way in a few years. Honesty is wonderful!
