This is an amazing medical staff and both Dr. Chaffee and Dr. Edmundsen are incredibly patient, kind, attentive and intelligent. I came to Dallas Family Medicine recently as a new patient after growing unhappy with the lack of care and attention I had been receiving elsewhere. When I called for an appointment, I was seen within two weeks. Although I was being seen for a torn meniscus, Dr. Chaffee reviewed all my blood work done previously and recognized an important ommission, which he corrected by ordering another lab sample. He noted that my Vitamin D levels were low and gave me a recommendation. He evaluated my mood, my medication, list and suggested an appointment for an annual exam to address other physical issues. His thoroughness was remarkable, even more so because my last doctor told me he couldnt talk about two problems during one visit. I received a referral to an orthopedic surgeon promptly and am currently in the process of getting surgery scheduled. Then, recently I was bitten by a cat in the course of my employment and needed medication attention. I called in the afternoon, fully prepared to be told to go to Urgent Care. To my surprise, they told me to come right in and that they would fit me in. The wait was incredibly short, given the nature of the visit and I was again treated with respect, kindness and skill. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Pamela Clark

Horrid experience. I went in to see Dr. Edwardson about high blood pressure. He stopped me before I could say why I was there; that he was evaluating ME to see if he would accept me as a patient. We wound up getting along after his twenty minute tirade about doctors and patients. However, six weeks later, I got a bill from his office. It seems that the $152 I paid up front (they wouldnt take my insurance; he said it was worthless) was only an estimate. I owed them $68 more! I protested and the billing office offered to 1/2 the amount with me. Ill pay the $34, but STRONGLY suggest you stay away. My second visit (before I received the bill saying I owed more) was a quick 2 minute, youre fine; see you in a year remark by the doc after looking at my bloodwork. He didnt even ask about how my new meds were working or if I needed a refill. And I waited 45 minutes to hear this? STAY AWAY! Terrible patient skills.

I work as Dr. Edwardsons medical scribe and have had the opportunity to experience his patient care firsthand. My previous experiences with other physicians have always been good, however, my experience with Dr. E has been outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, treating a variety of illnesses and diseases. The way he communicates with patients is different and better than any previous doctor I have worked with. He treats every patient like a friend or family member, creating a comfortable atmosphere and allowing patients to be completely open with him. His primary focus is his patients and providing appointment access for as many people as possible. He regularly requests to work in patients who are in need of immediate care. Overall, the clinic has been both a great workplace and an incredible patient care facility.

Dallas family medicine is a friendly place. But Dr edwardson was the worst Doctor I have ever seen. I went in with a rash. He didnt even look at the rash. He walked in said it was an allergic reaction. Told me to wash my socks and take bynadril (which I already do) and left. He was in the room for a total of 15 seconds with a wait time of 30 minutes. Worst experience of my life.

When I went to Dallas Family Medicine, Ive had nothing but amazing service! The front desk girls are always so nice and welcoming. Also, the doctor has been with me in the room within 10-15 minutes. Fastest wait times Ive had going to the doctor. Keep up the good work DFM!!!

Went to Dallas Family Medicine LLC. Spent almost one hour in a room reading magazines, checking e-mails, reading magazines again.....and listening "..."He will be with you shortly" . Did I see a doctor? Nope. Wheres the doctor? ..."He will be with you shortly".

Caring, complete care a lifesaver for me and my husband. They will listen to your concerns and work with your philosophies. Plus, they bill insurance!

The service was good when we had face time with the doctor, but geez, the wait times weve experienced were ridiculous.
