DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!! It has taken me almost a year to write this because every time I think about what happened here, I go into a full blown panic attack and I start shaking. This place almost killed my child. They told me that they would have to give my son a heavier sedative because he was more uncooperative than my daughter. I had reservations and even called the day before the appointment to let them know that I only wanted to use laughing gas. They pushed and told me that everything was safe and it would be fine. The morning of the appointment I said the same thing and again they pushed. Dr smith asked me if I wanted him to come and get me if my son started screaming. I told him yes. They wouldnt let me stay in the room and shut me behind 2 doors so that I wasnt able to hear. 15 minutes later I hear blood curdling screaming and my child yelling for me, choking, and saying "help me momma". I busted through the hallway door and started yelling at everyone to stop what they were doing and get my son out of there. I hear dr smith say "what is she doing back here, she isnt supposed to be able to hear anything ". So many red flags went up. After I got my son out of there, his vitals started dropping and he stopped responding to me. Long story short, dr smith admitted to overdosing my son with Benadryl and benzodiazepines and he had the paradox effect. His blood pressure and his blood sugar dropped and he continued to work on him even when he was screaming and in a state of complete distress. He promised me that my son wouldnt remember anything but he remembers everything. This place is so completely unprofessional. He gave me a full refund after I talked about suing them. Thanks to you Dr Smith, my child is absolutely petrified of ever going to a dentist again. You almost killed my baby and I will never forgive you. You need to lose your license.

If I could do a negative star I would. My daughter needed quite a bit of work done, but that is no excuse for continuing to work on her teeth after the laughing gas had worn off. I heard her screaming crying from the waiting room so I went back to her room & opened the door. I about puked. My daughter was drenched in tears screaming crying while they just kept drilling away. I will NEVER go back to this dentist and recommend parents to always stay with their kids if they do take them. I was sent an apology letter & a pair of movie tickets as compensation....which doesnt cover half the trauma we both went through that day!

Ive had 2 teeth pulled in a relatively close time period and *Dr. Eric* has been one the easiest and most pleasant dentists Ive seen in quite some time. As a person who is/was dentalphobic, hes given me every opportunity and outlet to become comfortable - including playing music and stopping when needed for any reason. He has never rushed me, listened to all my concerns, fot me in for follow-ups (even staying very late to see me once) and always asks if theres anything else he can do to explain or make my experience better. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Eric - he truly is the Tooth God!

I will never go to another dentist. Before Smith Dental I refused to go to the dentist. They have helped me over come my fear and I no longer need medication just to walk through the door. Dr. John is amazing and so is Dr. Eric. Jodi is by far my favorite dental assistant. She knows how to help people with a fear of the dentist. If you dont want to know what theyre going to do she wont tell you and that was huge for me. You can tell they all really love what they do and they care about everyone they see. I can not recommend them enough.

I have been going to Dr John Smith ever since i can remember, at least 15-20 years. I just love the staff, they are always super friendly and welcoming. They always work with me on payment plans if needed and the best part about Dr John that i absolutely love is he always calls and checks up that evening to make sure i am not in too much pain, if i need adjustments or whatever the case is. Amazing guy, i will never go anywhere else!!! Thank you Smith Dental!!!

Ive been using Smith Family Dental to care for my teeth for several years now. Ive had crowns installed, cavities filled, and twice-yearly cleaning appointments. The dentists, dental techs, and office staff are always very friendly and open. They do a great job at explaining payment options and procedures, as well as monitoring patient comfort while "in the chair". They have even surprised me by calling a few hours later to check on how Im doing!

Great staff and Dr. Explained everything for procedure thoroughly. Front office had great set up for payment and planned and explained every thing perfectly. They were great to work around my schedule. I have seen many dentists and this office and dr. Have been one of the best I have been to. Highly recommend them!

The cleaning was thorough and pretty much pain free. I also had a cavity filled on the same visit and Dr. Eric Smith listened well to my concerns and even gave me extra shots of numbing medicine at my request. He worked quickly and the longest part was waiting for the medicine to kick in. The tooth feels great now!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth and 4 other teeth removed so I can get braces (two month apart). Both times Dr Smith did all of my extractions. I didnt have a single problem with them or the healing. He does all he can to make you feel comfortable in such a stressful situation!
