I have been going to Dr. Blatchford for several years and have found her and her staff to be very friendly, respectful, compassionate, professional and thorough in everything they do regarding dental exams, x-rays, cleaning and other services. The entire staff is genuinely concerned about me as a person and a patient and they make me feel comfortable, at ease, safe and welcome every time I have an appointment with Dr. Blatchford. They treat me like I am a part of their family and they keep in touch with me regarding appointments and other matters by phone and e-mails between appointments. It is a real joy and pleasure to go to the dentist because of Christina and her staff! They have a nice sense of humor and I enjoy talking with them about things that are unrelated to dental issues as well! They let me know up front what dental problems I have and tell me what out-of-pocket costs, if any, I will have to pay along with my dental insurance coverages, which is very helpful! I definitely would and have recommended Dr. Blatchford to all of my friends and family members! The staff goes out of their way to do extra things for their patients like having a party in the summer for all their patients, having nice treats in the office for everyone, and giving patients a goody bag filled with dental supplies after each visit. You would be hard pressed to find a better and more caring dentist and dental staff in the state of Oregon!

Dr. Blatchford is a great dentist! There are a few things that I think make her and her staff stand out: 1) Comfort/customer service--it is very clear that one of Dr. Blatchfords main priorities for herself and her staff is for those who are receiving care from her and her staff to feel as comfortable as possible. She discusses with patients how to signal if they are feeling any pain, and she takes all of the needed steps to ensure that one is as comfortable as possible during the actual procedure. She also takes the time to explain each procedure and gives you the idea of what to expect during the procedure. She also answers my questions about her equipment that are simply out of curiosity! 2) Quality—it is clear that Dr. Blatchford does her best work not only to fix dental issues, but to restore one’s smile to the best it could be. She uses the newest technology and takes the time to make sure that the procedure is done right. For example, while getting a crown, we had to redo the bite in the molding three times—but Dr. Blatchford was willing to do it so that we got an accurate bite rather than rushing through to get to someone else; I appreciate that! I would highly recommend Dr. Blatchford to anyone who is seeking superior dental work and compassionate customer service!

Dr. Blatchford and her team provided me with the most professional and thoughtful dental service that I have ever experienced. From the moment I entered Christinas office, the receptionist was very friendly and personable, making small talk to help diffuse the stress of a dental visit (I was a little nervous since it had been some time since I had been to the dentist). Next during my cleaning, I was given a neck pillow to make the cleaning more comfortable, and sun glasses to shield my eyes from the glaring exam light, both nice touches that I had not experienced elsewhere. My dental hygienist was also friendly and we had a conversation almost as sparkly as my teeth following the cleaning. Thankfully, I only had one small cavity, which was filled much faster than the one I had with my previous dentist. Dr. Blatchford also provided me with options I might consider to improve my smile, thoroughly explaining the pros and cons of each, and also provided financing options. Members of her staff have had their smiles improved by Dr. Blatchford and the work speaks for itself. There are even freshly baked treats in the waiting room for those feeling bold enough to eat sugar while at the dentist. Thank you! Andrew Patronite

I was incredibly satisfied with the care at Dr. Blatchfords office. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the office has a cozy (not corporate) feel to it since it is a renovated house. At the same time, it doesnt feel too small; very professional all around, which makes me confidence to give them my business. The level of service and comfort I experienced from Dr. Blatchford and the hygienists was truly impressive! One day it was chilly in the office so they offered a blanket and warm neck pillow. They took note of my dental anxiety and adjusted their methods and pace accordingly. They treated me with respect, asked me about myself and my family, and made me look forward to coming back. The hygienist actually taught me interesting facts about how to take care of my teeth, and how to help my kids take care of theirs. I also really liked the pre-pasted toothbrushes in the bathroom. When I was confused about the billing after my fillings they helped me better understand how my insurance works and went above and beyond to provide great customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend this dental practice.

Many people fear going to the dentist, but my fear had become such debilitating terror that I avoided dental care for years. Awful tooth pain and my overwhelming anxiety forced me to take the leap; I sought out Dr. Blatchford’s office “just to discuss” my options for care. The lovely atmosphere of the office and welcoming personal approach of the entire staff quickly started to ease my anxiety. Because each staff member genuinely understands how distressing patients’ fears are, they take the time to focus your unique needs. This acceptance creates reassuring communication that, when combined with cutting edge technology, medication, and outstanding professional skills, offers an outstanding dental experience, which for me is saving my teeth and renewing my peace of mind. Best dental office Ive ever been to. Renee is my favorite, but dont tell anyone. Dr. Hughes and Amanda are great too. I am what you might call a "phobic patient", and everyone on staff has been very kind and understanding with me throughout the process of a root canal and what we thought was going to be another root canal but ended up not being. Oh, and thats another thing... Amanda and Dr. Hughes were willing to listen to me explain why I didnt feel it needed to be a root canal, and agreed to proceed slowly and see if it could be avoided, and sure enough it wasnt necessary. Genuinely caring staff who take the time to really listen to the concerns of their patients and answer questions. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Sad to be moving out of the area.

My visit to this dentist office is the worst dental experience Ive ever had. First I was bombarded with questions about what I do, where I live, why I moved here and spent a good 20 minutes not even talking about my teeth. Things got progressively worse, Christina Blachford told me I needed about $10,000 worth of dental work which included 11 fillings and 2 crowns and some other procedures. When I tried to ask which teeth were more at risk and needed to be filled first I was given no answer except you should start on the right side. I left the office horrified and in tears. I went back to my old dentist who assured me the dental work that had been recommended was outrageous and unnecessary. I will never return to this office again
