Dr. Lehrer is one of the better doctors Ive had. Weve been going to him for seven years now. He treats my family. Weve never had one problem of any kind. Hes always very courteous and actually kind to us. But more importantly he diagnoses the problems correctly and we get proper treatment. His staff are very professional and have always been friendly. Ive never had a problem getting an appointment. Ive never had to wait for long periods even after about 30 visits total by me alone. My wife has had the same experiences. Hes been very patient and listens to what Ive had to say. And hes been very respectful of my wife. Were very lucky to have such a good doctor in Newport. Hes really knows his stuff and understands the medications. And he is incredibly patient and never discourteous even to people who come in demanding pain meds over and over.

The worst trip to the doctors I have been to. I spent 16 years in the Army with some of the worst doctors on record until I met this guy. He basically called me a liar and pretty much told my wife she was stupid. He had an attidue from the time he came in until the time I left in anger. He said he would not fill my script for my cronic back pain, and so I ask what i should do then, and he told me to change my change my carrer which I have done for over 20 years and all i know or try yoga or stretches. Worst expericance of my life with a doctor. Please do not go to this guy. The trip to the Valley would be more worth your time

Dr. Lehrer is patient, experienced, and a clear communicator. He was my doctor for several years and I always came away from an office visit with a plan for management of my health issues. I really appreciate the care he has provided me over the years. I have retired and moved out of state, and I hope to find someone where I am going that has his qualities, both as an M.D. and a person. Ron Duvall

Not a good doctor for back pain, didnt ask me how I injured my back. I pretty much had to walk him through what I needed, and when asked about steroid back patches to reduce inflammation he said there is not such things. After telling him I have seen people get them he just changed the subject and said steroid shot is the only option.

I think hes a good doctor. Ive had several doctors over the years due to moving or doctors retiring etc. Dr. Lehrer is competent, he listens and makes good recommendations. Also, hes younger then me, so chances are, he wont retire before I stop having a need for his services.

Dr. Lehrer was very attentive and thorough. His office is easy to access for wheelchair accessibility. His nurse and other office staff were very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. John Lehrer.
