I came in here for a debilitating cough. It was very uncomfortable and I couldnt sleep. The receptionist that greeted me was curt and not particularly friendly, and let me know that they needed to charge my card before I ever saw the doctor as a deposit. $125. If the doctor had to run tests or do additional work, there would be further charges. So the experience began with an unpleasant interaction. I was pretty sure it would be a simple diagnosis because Ive gone through this coughing thing many times, but it was still uncomfortable to be treated like a potential deadbeat. The doctor that came to see me was actually very nice and helpful. He explained my problem and gave me a prescription for cough medicine and some antibiotics that I could use if it kept up - he saw that I had no insurance and was paying cash, so he wanted to save me a trip. I left pretty happy. It is now a week later and I have gone through my cough syrup. Its the only thing that stops the coughing. I am going to wait a bit longer to try the antibiotics - as he said they were a last resort thing and to wait a week or longer before taking them. So I called in to see if I could get a refill on the cough syrup. The same receptionist answers, and she informs me that because they are not a regular doctors office they cant call in that type of prescription... meaning Id need to go back in and spend another $125. For cough syrup. I think that people should be aware that places like this do not serve as a substitute for going to see a real doctor. I only came here because it seemed simpler. It was during regular business hours. If Id known that they were incapable of even refilling prescriptions - unless I wanted to fork over another $125 - Id have just gone to a regular MD. So, 5 stars for the doctor. 3 stars for the receptionist. 1 star for the business model. Only go here if you have no other options, even if you have no health insurance. The wait at a regular practice is worth the support you will get later if you need it.

I went to this urgent care at Cornell Rd a few times before and the staff was ok and the doctors were helpful. However today I brought my 9 years old daughter as her pierced ears got some infection. Unluckily they sent a PA (not a Dr) to see her. The PA was so bad that I even think I could do better diagnostic and professional recommendation than him. The PA went in to the room and started with some cold jokes, and he thought the patient (my daughter) has ear pain (apparently he didnt read carefully at the patient sign-in sheet) and started his routine checks. After 15 seconds of checking he announced (to my big surprise) that the patient has some fluid in the inner ear and might has ear infection and thats why she feels ear pain. Oh man this is something funny. A pierced ear can cause fluid in the inner ear and pain there? I then told him politely that her pain is in the ear lobe. He responded -- Oh really? The pain is serve to my daughter, but he started to rub her ear lobe violently to see whats going wrong until I stood up and stoped him. He later prescribed antibiotics and another over-the-counter medicion with a mecial name that I coulnt catch it. He said it is a very very common medicion and you should know it. I still didnt get it and ask him if he could write it down for me. He said, to my surprise again, you probably have a language barrier. Okay, Mr. PA. I may have a language barrier. I may not have a doctor degree to understand the medicion name. I may not know all the things that you know of. But I do know that I have other choices. I dont intend to write the PAs name in this review and it might badly impact his reputation. Returned home, my daughter told me that she feels that the nurse is better than the doctor. That was the words from a 9 years old that prompted me to write this review. If you happen to have a need for urgent care, I hope you dont. Be aware of the non professional half baked doctor. You will be sorry to pay lot of $$$ and get a pretty bad care.

Honestly I am not one to write reviews but I am writing hoping maybe they check these things once in a while. I came in with a pretty common cold that had been lingering on, I went last wednesday. She was nice and gave me some antibiotics for a sinus/ear infections. When friday came around I woke up with STABBING ear pains. I called them and she called in some ear drops for me, havent had those since I was a child and I am not a fan of them. They didnt help and I had school coming up all saturday and sunday so decided to stop in. She had kind of a different attitude towards me even though I was on the verge of tears due to the BAD pain in my ears. She told me I needed to "put on my big girl pants" and put in some antibiotic ear drops cause thats all she could do for me. Nothing for the pain or anything. ALL saturday and sunday at school I was dying, I didnt even pick up the antibiotic ear drops cause I knew they would not do anything. This wednesday, a week later I went to my primary care doctor cause I had a little more time. He could NOT believe my ears, I was the worst he had seen all week. He told me the antibiotics she used are never really used to treat ear infections and that ear drops would do nothing for what was happening in my ears. He gave me new antibiotics, cough syrup for my bad cough and nose spray. Also he told me to keep taking sudafed she had given me. ALSO I was supposed to fly out of town and am not allowed to due to the fact my ear drums could burst. I guess I wont be going back there.

Jan 5, 2016 Visit - Dr Rivard was decent enough to deal with, but I found the professionalism of both her and the office in general to be borderline average, but Legacy-GoHealth to be far below what I would consider adequate. Not my first trip into this office, but was asked to fill out "new patient" paperwork for the 3rd time in a year... This time is was because they had a "new" owner (yet same signs and banners outside), previously due to a computer software change, and the first time because it had been more than a year since a previous visit. Fast forward 4 months to today... got a phone call from someone in Georgia saying that they were going to bill my credit card for charges not covered by the insurance company. Moda processed my EoB on Feb 15. In the 3 months since Moda paid their share, Ive heard nothing from Legacy about a bill or outstanding balance (but hey, at least they called before running the card - thankfully its a FSA debit card, so its not like its going to impact my other finances). The lady on the other end of the phone call might as well have been a robot programmed to say nothing but the notification of upcoming charges, because there was no question that I could ask of her that I was able to get an answer on... either she was dumber than a sack of rocks, completely unknowledgeable about any aspect of my visit, or she was completely too inconvenienced to answer my questions... And Im not sure which of these options are worse.
