Dr. Landers is a competent, intelligent, and experienced physician. I had seen Dr. Roberts in NW Portland; however, her clinic is far away and I fear she may be retiring soon. Dr. Landers is experienced but young enough to be in practice for years to come and her clinic is close by. She has removed small skin tags, frozen off spots, and in one case performed minor surgery in her clinic to remove a precancerous mole, with my wife observing. I would not describe her as warm; she is business-like and at times even brusque. However, when I have asked her specific questions; for example, about sun protection or poison oak treatment, she sat down and gave me specific, helpful answers. If you want someone to hold your hand and commiserate, go elsewhere. If you want highly competent dermatology care from a pro, go to Dr. Landers--if you can get in: her waiting room can be crowded. That testifies to her abilities.

Reviews are important to me when Im shopping online so I felt it was important to leave a review after my experience today at Advanced Dermotology. I was happy with the staffs response time in calling me back and answering my questions, however my experience with the Dr was completely different. I went in to see about having a facial wart removed and I was bombarded with insults about why it was so large and that it was my fault it had not gone away. It was very humiliating and unprofessional. Treating a patient with respect is very important to me and that was not at all my experience at this office.

The scheduler told me they accepted my insurance. I showed up at 7:45 AM and got told they do not accept my insurance. Since the insurance company had approved the visit, I can only assume that it is their office policy not to accept patients on Oregon Health Plan. I am sure the doctor is fine but I am upset that you wasted my time and now I have to wait another month to be seen by another office. Thanks.

Dr. Landers is a very competent physician. I have been seeing her for about 12 years....she knows her stuff. I am a Nurse Practitioner and she was recommended to me by a drug rep who has known her since her fellowship days up at OHSU. She has always done a great job with me. She is quick but dont take that as uncaring.

Extremely competent. I would never think of going to any other dermatologist.
