I was recommended to Amber by a friend who knew i had been struggling with chronic acne for a while. The first time I saw Amber was for waxing and that experience was great! I loved that everything was organic and she was very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. In talking more with her we got on the subject of acne and nutrition and It was so refreshing to hear someone so knowledgeable with the treatment of acne and battling it not only with treatments and products but also through what your putting in your body. I was on Acutane 2x in high school and numerous amounts of antibiotics to help treat my acne and Im now 30 yrs old and still battling acne. It got really bad after having my son almost 2 yrs ago and since then Ive spent lots of money on products, light treatments, peels, laser you name it. Not to say none of these have helped, but i was never put on products that were healthy for my skin or educated on nutrition specifically for skin. Amber recommended a series of Ultrasound treatments and also recommended i start using a couple products by Osmosis and skin script (the prices were very reasonable) which i have loved!! Amber is also very knowledgeable in what cosmetic lines are good and not good for your skin which was very helpful for me. During the first ultrasound treatment Amber recommended if i wasnt already to get on a good probiotic and to start taking Zinc and Vit. C. Totally wish someone had told me this sooner!! After 6 ultrasound treatments my skin texture has greatly improved (lots smoother), my scars have faded some, and my acne has mostly cleared up. This is the first time in a long time i feel like ill be able to keep my acne under control. Would totally recommend Amber to anyone who has struggled with acne! Wish I would have found you sooner Amber!

Since I was up in the SW Washington area I had 2 options when it came to maintaining my waxing regiment - 1. shave (no way!) or 2. find a new person to do my waxing. If it werent for the great reviews her customers took the time to write, I would have never found Amber. Although I was used to one particular wax, she was very knowledgeable about the different waxes she uses on different areas, usually dependent on sensitive prone areas. Naturally, there may be a little timidness when going to a new aesthetician, but Amber is very professional and will address any questions or concerns about your visit. She made me feel comfortable and her demeanor shows that she really loves her craft and wants her customers walking out satisfied with their results. She even followed up with me the next day to make sure all was well. The only con was when I arrived, I wasnt sure if I was supposed to check-in somewhere first. So, for any new clients, take a seat and she will come out to you. Other than that small initial confusion, the waxing services she provided turned out to be a relaxing and assuring experience. I know that whenever I come up here, I always have a place to go for my waxing!

Thank goodness my fellow reviewers and researchers. My prayers have been answered. I finally found Amber via web search after so much trial and error. I came to her in serious need, for I had dark spots and mild acne. I have brown skin and of different ethnic backgrounds, so hyperpigmentation was becoming a problem in my 30’s where it was not before. Had to clean up the body inside organically and outside organically. I had seen another esthetician in Vancouver and the products where not healthy over time for the skin. Service also could have been better. I was also using the wrong products on my skin. Since seeing Amber my skin improved overnight. My skins moisture came back and over time my dark spots have faded. The products are all great in combination and natural. After my TCA Peel I felt relaxed, no pain during application. Amber’s knowledge and expertise in skin care is great. No pressure on purchasing products. She genuinely wants to help you and understands. I would recommend Amber to anyone in need of skin healing and just skin relaxation, as I would call it.

I cant recommend Amber enough. I made an appointment after reading all of her glowing reviews online. I had made the mistake of purchasing a Groupon for another salon and had a really negative experience. Amber is very knowledgeable and gave me great tips to help heal my skin after the other salon messed it up. I have been seeing her once a month since then. The prices are great and the service is amazing. Amber texts to confirm and schedule appointments and will follow up on any issues or questions you may have after your appointment. She also recommends products she isnt selling, which is unusual and refreshing to find in an esthetician. She works quickly and makes waxing as painless as waxing can be. I genuinely look forward to visiting with her and absolutely refuse to see anyone else. If you are considering your first wax, you wont regret choosing ASH. Amber makes the experience as relaxing as possible and will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

For the past four years, I have gone to Ms. Hensen for professional facials and other cosmetic procedures. In the past, I have had many facials administered by seasoned aestheticians and I consider Amber to be one of the best in the field. Not only is her knowledge of current aesthetic practices exemplary, she researches and contacts other professionals in the field to keep up with current practices, as well as, taking continuing education courses in her field of expertise. Most importantly, her facials work!!!! In addition to her peels, she has added the LED facial to her repertoire. Not only does it provide another anti-aging component to her program, but it is mood enhancing and relaxing at the same time. Recently, she added a passionfruit, dermal, enzyme peel to my regime and it was incredible. My skin looked awesome! I give her my highest recommendation! You will not be disappointed…

Let me start by qualifying myself. I was waxed regularly (every 4 weeks) for nearly 3 years straight, and off and on for a few years before that. I am also a licensed Esthetician. As such, I am no stranger to waxing, nor brazilian waxing. I recently received a brazilian wax from Amber and it was by far the best experience Ive ever had. It was quick and comfortable, believe it or not. She provided me the most thorough and least painful waxing experience Ive ever had. Having been nearly two years since my last wax, I expected a painful experience with tenderness the following day. I experienced none of that. Professionally, Amber has flawless technique and the knowledge to provide a truly unique experience. Had my first wax with Amber today, after a truly horrible experience elsewhere in Vancouver. Not only did she give me a free consultation over the phone a few weeks ago (telling me how to heal from my previous waxing disaster and even going so far as to tell me exactly where on the Walgreens shelf to find the skin/wound care items she recommended), but today was easily the best wax Ive ever had. She was professional, the products she used smelled natural and amazing, she explained what was happening with my skin and gave me clear instructions on how to continue the healing process (again, directing me to the exact shelf at Walgreens!), and her office was peaceful and comfortable. Excellent results. Shes obviously a pro, and a total skincare guru to boot. Already purchased my next three waxes (at an incredibly affordable price).
