So unprofessional that I am beyond words. The office itself was unkempt and dumpy. It looked unsanitary and had a tiny inefficient waiting area. The receptionists were unprofessional and seemed disorganized with the inflow of clients coming in. After waiting in this small and dingy holding cell for 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I was put in a small room with the assistant. The assistant was nice but didnt seem to be asking me any relevant questions (pain levels, duration of illness, allergies, etc.), basically "Whats happening?" The worst part of the experience was Dr. Brand. She bolted into the room without asking my name or trying to engage me as a human being in any way. She was aggressive, fast, and I felt like a number. When I tried showing her my afflicted areas, she barely glanced at my skin (kind of ironic for a dermatologist, am I right?). She was quick to just diagnose me with she found convenient and didnt seem to care about my condition whatsoever. This part I will share because of how unbelievably horrified I am. When I showed her something that I thought could be a swollen lymph node, without adequate inspection (just a squeeze) or even questions, she said that it was probably a cyst. Following this, she insisted on injecting it with something to breakdown the cyst. To this moment, I still dont know what she injected me with since she did not even bother to find the time to give me a name. I asked to go to the bathroom first and she aggressively insisted that we get it over with. She might have been in a rush, but I took time out of my day at work to see this person. She injected me quickly, even when I asked her to give me a moment to take in what was happening. She then bolted out and I was left alone, disoriented, and totally upset. Bathroom required a key so I ended up just leaving. Short: Avoid this place.

I had a poor experience a few months ago. I went for a cancer screen. I got what I went for and have no complaints about the PA. The medical assistance who brought me in and took my information was irritated throughout the interaction. I called the office manager after the appointment because I was so uncomfortable, I didnt bother to ask to complete my questionnaire. My file was incomplete when I left. I kept saying she was rushed (and who isnt these days?) but I realized when I got home, she sounded and acted very annoyed. I didnt take it personally, but I vowed not to go back. Now, I am looking for a dermatologist to recommend to my husband and I am amazed at the five star reviews. I notice two one stars and thought to write about my two star now because there probably are more than just the three low reviews, they just havent been submitted. That, or once in a while, a patient has an unusually bad experience. There are multiple poor reviews on YELP. Only 5 or 1-2 star reviews. Not sure what to make of that.

My experience with Dermatology Associates of SW Washington has been a very good one. Dr. Brandt has been very helpful as has been her mas along the way. I have been fighting Lichen Planus since June and with her help, I have been able to get to the point where I dont need anymore UVB tx. She really helped me with getting my horrendous itching problem under control with prescription medication and the UVB tx, it was AWFUL! She has been very helpful with her opinions, letting me know what she would do and wouldnt do but letting me decide if its the best action. I fully trusted her opinion and together we always seemed to make the right one. I am on the road to recovery because now I just have to wait for the "scars" to fade. Thanks again for everything Dr. Brandt and helpers!

Laura Brandt certainly represents how health care should be provided. I have visited her quite a few times now and find her really competent, thorough, and very nice to deal with. I cant recommend her highly enough. Being "old" I need my share of skin treatments and remedies every year and have had my share of marginal or just downright bad experiences with some physicians. Sometimes things arent treated thoroughly enough, sometimes things are missed, and sometimes I have been just rushed through so that the office could get to the billing part of the visit. But with Laura Brandt every visit is done right, treatments are thorough and done exactingly, and she takes the time to make sure I am informed and have all my issues addressed. A+

Ive been treated at Dermatology Associates several times for such exciting issues such as cysts, warts, and annual skin examinations checking for signs of melanoma. The doctor I see is totally professional. I feel completely satisfied with both his examinations, treatments, and follow-ups. It has been easy to talk with him about my medical issues and enjoyable in that he has the greater ability to establish a personal rapport. The support staff all seem to be caring and efficient in their work. This is a great place for me to go, even though its too bad I need the assistance. Most people with similar needs can probably relate.

Do yourself a favor and find a different dermatologist’s office. I was the first appointment of the day for Dr Orchard ... and I and waited, and waited, and waited…and waited some more to see her. There was no communication as to why she was running late. A simple “it will be another fifteen minutes” would have given me the sense I wasn’t being blown off. I finally walked out 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment (and after arriving 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork). Based on my experience I would recommend anyone else, as this office seems to be inept.

It should be illegal to filter out/ screen patients based on if theyve met their annual deductible, and if not, to require a $250 deposit for a first time visit. Crooks!! I work for a Fortune 500 company and I pay thousands of dollars annually for my top shelf health insurance; The fact that Im an in network patient should be enough. Im glad I found out what I mean to your facility before I ever even step foot in your doors, I would rather be treated as a person and not a dollar sign for greedy physicians. Dont waste your time people...

The Doctor was ok. But their billing practices are very crooked. First they failed to mention just how much they charge for a biopsy, then they added an exorbitant double billing charge in the bill I received under the phony guise of "reading a lab result" , which in human speak is "The doctors partner got to bill her full fee by saying she took all of 2 minutes to read a letter sent by the testing lab." To say the least, I wont be going back to for a follow up visit.

My wife had a very painful pre-cancerous lesion on her lip. She was seeing several different doctors over a 2 week period. One in particular, was very arrogant & judgmental & told her to put vaseline on it. After a week it got much worse. She made an appointment with Dr. Brandt. She was properly diagnosed & treated WITHIN A WEEK. The Doctor & staff, very personable & EFFECTIVE...

Went in for a routine exam and then ended up with a $150 bill and I have decent insurance. In this day and age offices need to inform patients of potential costs. The liquid nitrogen treatments I received were described at the time as probably not necessary and I would have declined if I knew that insurance would not cover it. Very very unhappy and I wont go back to them.
