I cant tell you if the medical providers there are good or not. I never made it that far. But if the front office is a reflection of the back office, then I will take my business elsewhere. I have BCBS PPO insurance, which I recently obtained through my employer. I also have Tricare Reserve as a reservist. I didnt cancel my Tricare because the monthly cost was minimal to me and I figured I might as well keep it "just in case." So I get my referral to Olympic Derm and someone calls me to schedule my appt. One of the first questions Im asked is whether I have any additional insurance besides my BCBS. Strange question, but dermatology always seems to send bills after your visit for lots of things that arent covered, so I say well yes I do. I have Tricare Reserve. The person on the phone then immediately tells me that she cannot schedule my appointment because I have Tricare. I tell her to hold on, that there is no need to use Tricare then, just go through Blue cross. She proceeds to "explain" to me in a very haughty manner that "we choose not to accept Tricare because blah blah blah." At that point I decided that I no longer wanted to be seen by a practice that has such disdain for military personnel. As you might tell, I am taking my business elsewhere.

The laser side of this clinic includes at least one incompetent, unprofessional snake. I went in for a consultation about removing spider veins. She showed me some before and after photos and said the treatment would be $250. I thought that would be great, but on the day of my treatment she said, I might need a series of 3 treatments, $250 each. Fortunately, she had forgotten to tell me to stop taking some medications that would interfere, so I couldnt be treated then. I called back later to confirm some details and this time she said it might take 3 to 5 treatments. I asked how many treatments had been required for the very moderate results in the before and after photos and she said a complete series of 5, so I cancelled. And on top of that, she tried to tell me that I needed to use sunscreen every day to make it from my car to my desk. This is freaking Washington. In addition to this, they tried to charge me 40 dollars for some numbing cream I can buy for a few bucks at the supermarket, and lied when they said there was no alternative. Ive never seen such shameless and unethical behavior. Stay away from this place.

I would have given 0 star if I could. I have Regence as a primary insurance and Tricare as a secondary insurance. I had waited for more than a month to see a doctor and when I got there, I was told that I couldnt see a doctor because they dont accept Tricare which is my secondary insurance. I told them that my primary insurance is Regence which was accepted last time and should be accepted currently too. They showed me the printout of RCWB about co-payment. I asked them to delete my secondary insurance information that would solve the problem, but they said they couldnt. I will never go back there because if they cant see me for the reason already known, they should have notified me before the appointment date. They dont have sincerity to do that. I am not familiar with the health insurance, but Im guessing how they are interpreting is wrong. I dont want to go to the clinic where they dont know what they are doing even if its in accounting or administration.

I have been working with two doctors at this office for approximately 3 years for a long-term skin problem that I developed due to overexposure to the sun. The problem is easily treated by a prescription of mild antibiotics. While it has not been a problem to get the prescription, I have been required to go in for followup appointments every 90 days, which has recently changed to 30 days. There is no change to the diagnosis, and I am given a new prescription for the same dosage of the same antibiotic each time. There have been times when the doctor has not known why I was there, so the appointments are generally very quick. The treatment has been successful. However, I have elected to seek treatment elsewhere due to the unnecessary time and cost associated with the repeated & unnecessary followups.

Not military-family friendly! I came here to set up an appointment for a skin check as preventative care. I am a state employee and have Regence as my primary insurer. My husband is a retired Army guy, so TriCare is my secondary insurer. They flat refused to take me as a patient due to not accepting TriCare, even though that is my secondary insurer. They would not even accept me on a cash basis. (Obviously, I hadnt read the reviews prior to trying - I was there with a family member who was getting a biopsy, and decided to make an appointment at that time.) I had Regence contact them, and they gave Regence the same song and dance. I will seek care elsewhere and urge you to do so also.

Not very happy with this practice. First time to a dermatologist and I asked detailed questions regarding invoicing. I wanted to make sure there would not be any surprises - well unfortunately they were. The invoice was higher than I was told (i was told at my appointment there would be no additional costs). I will not consider going here if I ever need to see a dermatologist in the future. I expect and want transparency when it comes to the amount owed for services. I would recommend seeing a different practice if this is something you need and/or expect.

Shame on this establishment! Ive been a pt for couple years. Called to make appointment and to my surprise this DOCTOR has elected NOT to take TRICARE. They hired a FORMER military doctor to work in their office. This has everything to with money. Tricare pays enough to provider. Its not welfare. Since their business office couldnt file my Tricare claim correctly... thats not my fault. My husband is retired military with SKIN CANCER. This doctor should be ashamed of himself. Im going to rate this office on other sites. Over priced for sure.

Olympic Dermatology & Laser Clinic is superior and the only place I would go for cosmetic dermatology treatment and products. Dr. Brazil and his team are medically-qualified, highly experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. What a fabulous resource right here in Western WA! My skin has improved dramatically since going to Olympic Dermatology for my photofacials and rejuvenating products. Ive learned so much about what I can do to have younger looking, more vibrant skin. I recommend them highly.

Steer clear for tattoo removal. Outdated technology, poor quality of care, continued customer service challenges. They are more interested in revenue generation than patient care. After multiple treatments a new tech finally advised me to go somewhere else because their laser wasnt helping me. Had a much better experience with better technology in Seattle. And on top of that, it was less expensive! Wish I started in Seattle

Dr. Brazil and all the staff at Olympic Dermatology have been very kind, thorough and efficient during the years Ive been a patient of the clinic. All medical offices have a choice of which insurance companies they contract with, so giving a bad rating simply because they dont take your insurance is unfair. Its a shame to see such mediocre ratings for such an excellent practice.
