I am forever indebted to them for saving my life! Large teams of Doctors ready to react to your medical emergencies and continuing on with attending to your recovery and non-emergency medical needs. I had every organ in my body fail in February 2013 after 2 unsuccessful attempts to restart my system they finally got me going. I truly owe my life to the many teams of doctors that pooled their efforts, communicated them along with my primary care physician to get me back on my feet again. Im not running laps around the block but I am alive thanks to the St. Lukes Allentown team. The nursing staff are all wonderful. I really appreciate them pushing me to get up and keep moving, I particularly salute a really nice young male nurse in the ICU area named Bill Kitowsky (?Spelling) who treated me so very well and encouraged my outlook for recovery. My only wish would be that I had a better understanding of Spanish particularly to understand many of the the night and weekend staff. I always feel like they are talking about me. Overall, the nursing staff was professional, caring and friendly.

My husband, older son, and father have been to the ER and have always had surprisingly prompt attention and good care. Once youve been seen by the ER doctor, you might have a long wait for test results, etc but the doctors, nurses, and other staff have always been very willing to help and to answer questions. My husband had bariatric surgery there less than 2 weeks ago and they are very attentive, great at offering support, and so far, so good- looks like a success! (The rest is up to my husband now but they offer continuing support and follow-ups after the surgery to help stay on track with your changing body requirements.) As for the Family Practice clinic on Lehigh St, we LOVE Dr. Ferran and highly recommend her willingness to listen, compassion, and high level of physician care!

I had to go to the ER at Christmas Eve. They let me in, the doctor was nice, but they did not do anything without paying first. I did. I also had good insurance. The lady confirmed I will get no more bills from the Hospital, since I paid. Months later I got a really rude letter saying my account will go for collection bc I did not pay and communicate. It took months to get a statement and still dont get it, why I owed them close to $500. Finally I made a payment plan and missed only 1 with a few days. I got a final notice!! before collection. This place is all about money. No communication, no respect and makes you responsible for their mistakes. Never ever on Earth go there unless you want to pay for a never sent statement.

Had our first baby here. I just want to say that this hospital was absolutely amazing for our entire stay here. The staff was very professional but they were also very friendly and compassionate. The facilty is nice very secure. They let my wife order off of a full menu room service each meal. And if we forgot the kitchen would call and ask if she was hungry. The thing that impressed me the most is the staff does this every day but they still acted as if they were part of the family lots of enthusiasm and very happy. Just made our birth wonderful. I was leary of this hospital because its in center city Allentown but no need to be this place is the best hospital I have ever been in hands down.

Rose Conundrum

The doctors prescribed me a medication that caused a horrible reaction with something I was already taking. There was no warning of this, and they knew all my medications and dosages and still prescribed a medication that had an adverse reaction. Long story short, I collapsed and was in and out of consciousness. We had to call an ambulance to take me to the hospital. Its a shame, because Ive had so many good experiences there, but this really ruins it.

There is absolutely nothing good to say about this hospital. The staff has no care or sympathy for there patients they are way more concerned with there gossip. My wife had no choice but to stay here after they messed up a simple procedure. They were always Atleast 30 min late with all her medication. I truly feel bad for anyone who has the unfortunate luck to be stuck at this hospital.

My experience at St. Lukes in December 2014 was good. St Lukes Heart and Vascular group doctors were considerate and informative. Hospital administrative personnel were professional and pleasant. The nurses, especially in the cardiac catheterization lab, were competent and kind. The facilities were up to date, clean and supported my care. I would seek care at this hospital again.

Being on the OB floor must say the staff is the best! Doctors really inform you on what there doing and there next plan while the nurses are some of the best Ive ever had! So fast and ready to help you no matter what the issues are. Great hospital!

Delivered multiple babies here. Great doctors and great staff on the L&D floor. NICU staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful. Love the small feel of this hospital.
