Rude and unprofessional. My appointment was at 6pm. Dr. Thomas was 30 min late. Annoying, but not a big deal, right? who doesn’t wait at the doctor’s office. The fact that I asked for a later appointment and they “don’t work that late” and now I am already at that time, also, unfortunate, but understandable. What WAS a big deal is that Dr. Thomas proceeded to LECTURE me on and on and on and on.. on the fact that I dared to mention he was late. He was outraged that I had a complete lack of understanding of what a busy man, sorry - DOCTOR he is. Couldn’t I clearly see they only have two people and it is expected he will be 15-20 min late and he himself recently was waiting for 1.5 hours at the doctor’s office and how dare I to even bring up this subject; implied numerous times that it doesn’t matter that I had to make special arrangements with work, kids etc to be there on time, as clearly my time doesn’t matter, and to top it all a multiple repetitions of the fact that “he is not a hairdresser”. I have never experienced a more unprofessional behavior from a medical professional. He ended his tirade with a suggestion that if I don’t like how their practice operates perhaps I should be looking somewhere else. I could not agree more and I left. I don’t believe a person who never learned basic polite behavior could possibly be of any professionalism in his specialty. Go back to school Dr Thomas. Elementary first, where they teach you the basics, like” please”, “thank you”, not lashing out at your patients and oh yeah: “ I AM SORRY I am late”.

This place is HORRIBLE. I only went here because my insurance no longer covered my usual place and this was close to home. First, I walked in and there was NO receptionist at the desk but I could hear voices in what Im assuming is a backroom talking and laughing and it took her about ten minutes to finally come out. When I finally went in I felt frustrated my entire visit because I could not see a damn thing the whole time which I expressed to the doctor and he just told me to try my best (believe me when I say everything looked the same I didnt even know what to guess). Little did I know, that was the least of my problems. After my visit the lady at the desk was very rude. She started rambling on about all these charges and I wasnt seeming to understand where they were coming from and I could tell she was extremely frustrated while trying to explain it to me. Then it took WEEKS for me to get a hold of them trying to find out if my contacts have come in. I called and called, I left messages, I even EMAILED them and heard NOTHING. My insurance company even called a couple of times and heard nothing. Ive never heard of a doctors office not being the ones to call you. Heck, my normal doctor and dentist call me just to remind me I have an appointment! I will not be returning here once I need a new prescription.

Im not sure what happened. I liked the doctor, I had a good past experience. But the time came to get my prescription changed for my contacts. That was 4 months ago. the day i went in, they told me they didnt have the exact prescription for me to wear out, but he wanted me to use a pair he had on hand which were a hair weaker than what my end result would be. and that they would be ordering my prescription and they would be in less than a week. They told me they would be in contact a week later. Cool. Only I never heard from them. I called and emailed and didnt hear back. Finally, I get a call a few weeks ago and the receptionist blames me for not calling them.... Okay, well if you didnt hear from me in a week, you would be the first office that didnt follow up at all. So whatever, brush it off she says she will contact my insurance to order them and call me back. And again RADIO SILENCE! I have called multiple times left 2 messages, still nothing. WTF? I dont know if its the doctor or the receptionist thats holding this up, but I paid for the fitting and evaluation, so where are my damn contacts!!??? I NEED TO SEE PEOPLE!

Its a real shame because Dr. Thomas is very good. He makes me feel comfortable and hes very knowledgeable and genuine. My right eye has been bothering me and I wanted to come in today to see Dr. Thomas just so he could make sure it was nothing serious. I called 11x after they opened and left a vm. No answer, nor a return call. This has been the final straw for me. The receptionist is rude and doesnt ever answer the phone and never calls you back. Ive experienced this a few times before. Because of her, I will not be returning. Neither will my family or friends. Get a new receptionist that is professional and has customer service skills!

Professional service and knowledgeable staff. We went to get glasses for our 4 yr old and both Dr. Thomas and his assistant were very helpful in picking out frames for our son. They told us that if we dont see the frames we want in the store, they can order frames that we have seen elsewhere. Dr. Thomas was very patient with our son during the fitting process and in the end our son was very happy with his selection, which is what matters most to us. We will certainly be back to Dr. Thomas for our future eye care needs. Thank you Bucks County Family Eye Care!

The doctor is excellent here, which is why they got any stars. However, the the manager is not helpful, has no interest in helping people, is rude, and has no respect for peoples time. Issues with glasses bought from this place are treated like the customer made a mistake. I would get my eye exam from this doctor again, but I would definitely take my prescription just about anywhere else to get my glasses.

Always takes his time, very knowledgeable, and thorough. His staff as friendly and personable also. My only constructive feedback is that it is very hard sometimes to get someone to answer the phone during normal business hours. The quality in care here speaks volumes for a Healthcare system is worried about getting in as many patients as they can in a day and rushing through questions and an exam.

Our entire family had a great experience at Bucks County Family Eye Care. Dr. Thomas was knowledgeable, thorough, and made us feel completely comfortable. They have an excellent office and the friendly staff even took time to help us find a perfect pair of glasses. I highly recommend Bucks County Family Eye Care to anyone looking for premier eye care!

Going there was easy and the receptionist was nice. HOWEVER, I was supposed to recieve my glasses in 7-10 business days, and I have not. It has been 18 business days, and I was promised them 3 days ago, after I had called to ask where they were. Im very unhappy, because I need them for my classes and I am critically nearsighted.

Communication is very poor. They do not call wen your glasses are repaired. You have to keep calling.. Even if you leave a voice message, they do not return your phone calls. However, the doctor is very knowledgeable and friendly. He takes his time to counsel you and explain necessary medical issues to you.
