While the dentist that I saw was very nice, I cannot say the same for the office manager. I was referred by my oral surgeon to the office because the oral surgeon advised that I needed a cleaning. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. McCrackens office but was never told when I called to schedule the appointment that (1) the office did not participate with my insurance (although I disclosed my insurance provider and plan detail upfront) and (2) that the scheduled appointment would actually just be a consult and not an actually cleaning. Therefore, I had to pay out of pocket for an appointment that had no real sustenance--I was expected to return to the office for a follow-up appointment that would have consisted of the cleaning. Needless to say, I did not return for another appointment. When these issues were brought up to the office manager, she defended her staff and basically accused me of lying about what had happened on the phone when the appointment was scheduled. She was extraordinarily rude to me and said that the individuals who schedule appointments are all trained by her and are trained to forewarn clients if an insurance provider does not participate with the office. She stated that "her girls" would never have done what I said and said that she sees and hears everything that goes on in the office. Therefore, I am giving this practice a very low rating--I expect good customer service from my health care providers and cringe when I think of how I was treated by the office manager of this practice.

I have never been impressed with a dentists office until I went to the McCracken Family Dentistry. Everyone was so welcoming. The whole staff was friendly. I had an appointment for a consultation for a cracked tooth and ended up getting the tooth repaired. The whole appointment only took an hour and I was out the door. I had minimal pain after the novocaine wore off and a few hours later no pain. Plus the staff is attractive.
