We noticed a lump in the abdomen of our Olde English Bulldogge, Sherlock, and my wife and I were frightened that it could be cancerous. We needed to find a vet, and we came across this site that rated Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic. After reading the review of the person who complained about her experience with her dog with the terminal heart problem, I was reluctant to try this vet clinic for fear that they would not be compassionate enough, We went there anyway, Our beloved pet has cancer. However, we were blown away by the compassionate way in which the two vets with whom we dealt treated us ("Diana" --I remember her last name--and Dr Mantell. They made us feel as if Sherlock were their own beloved dog. They thoroughly examined him, took tests, evaluated the pathology of the cancer cell, ascertained the level of its metastasis discussed surgical options and other drug treatments. In the end, even though this vet clinic would have made substantial revenue from surgery and other options, they recommended against it for humanitarian reasons. Today, with their help, our dog is living out his remaining days happy, and we are absolutely certain that their advice and care was top notch. I dont think its right for me to denigrate the judgment of the person who owned the dying dog with the sick heart who gave this outfit only one star, but our experience was so far at the other end of the spectrum that I seriously wonder whether that person accidentally confused the Doylestown Animal Medical Cllinic with some other vet hospital in Doylestown.

First time I went I was very pleased. I arrived five minutes prior to my appointment and got in right away. I was also with my 7 month old infant and 3 year old toddler. The staff was very helpful for me considering the fact that I had my hands full. Dr. Platt was very compassionate. My bulldog had to go back a few days later for a recheck on her eye. The next time I was again with my young kids and bulldog and we had to wait 45 minutes for our appointment. Then they put us in the smallest and hottest room where my bulldog was panting I was sweating and my baby was fussing. There was not enough room for me and my daughter to sit. An hour later my dogs eye did not improve. And they were more than happy to schedule surgery. As if I have tons of disposable money. Basically the care is good but be ready to pay up.

We have enjoyed many years of excellent, caring and knowledgeable help for our dogs and other pets from the staff of DAMC. Our most recent trip started with a discovery at 8:30 at night that a piece of a new, thick, rubber toy had been chewed off by our terrier and was missing. The clinic was still open (thanks for the late evening hours!) and we were able to get immediate attention. X-rays showed the piece was still in the dogs stomach so an emetic was given, and surgery was avoided. Despite the late hour, the staff was, as always, uniformly sympathetic and supportive. We much appreciate the many good experiences we have had when our pets were in trouble and the confidence that we can get great care from Dr. Mantell, Dr,. Sporer and their DAMC team.

As far as the medicine goes this place is top notch. Every single one of their vets is knowledgeable and well read and truly has a passion for what they are doing. Where the problems occur is typically with the front desk in that they can sometimes be off-putting and make mistakes with scheduling. They also tend to be over booked on Saturdays so if you have something that can wait, save yourself the headache and dont make Fluffys vaccine appt for 11am (right before they close), make it first thing in the am if Saturday is the only day you can do. Aside from the occasional SNAFU as mentioned before this is the best care you will find for your pet in Bucks County hands down.

This is the best place in the area for small animals. I went to several vets for my rats before going to DAMC, now I will never go anywhere else. The desk staff is friendly, the techs are knowledgable and confident with the animals, and Dr. Platt is amazing. I have seen her for everything from a respiratory infection to tail amputation (as a result of an abscess that just would not go away) she is always friendly, knowledgable, and willing to try new things if the standard methods do not work. When one of my rats had to be put down she was very kind about it. Prices here are very reasonable. I would recommend DAMC to anybody, especially small animal owners.

We have used this office FOR YEARS. Are they cheapest NO? Are the most expensive? NO. But I would not take my animals anywhere else. There are so many vets at this office that if you call that morning for an appt you are MOST likely going to get an appt that day. (I just did that yesterday a non emergency appt). They have special diet food and the meds ready for you at check out. If you need to ever put an animal down (which we have at this office several time over the many years) they are so loving and caring...as you cry they walk you out the door..and send a card in the mail.

My fiance brings her dog Duchess there who is a mixed breed Rottie-Retriever mix. She adores this place and Dr. Brunetti. She raves how kind the reception staff is and how her vet treats Duchess as if she is the most wonderful dog in the whole wide world. Since my fiance loves her dog more than anything, possibly even me, it means a lot for her to trust another Human being with Duchess and claim that she treats her as if she was her own. The only complaint is that the facility is a bit pricey (she had a $600 bill following an annual visit and a bad bout of allergies).

My dog Princess has been a patient of Dr Risel for 12 years. I would not entrust Princesss care to anyone else but Dr Risel. Even though its a bit of a ride from New Jersey to Doylestown its well worth it. Besides Dr Risel who is amazing with Princess, the rest of the staff are extremely helpful and caring towards not only the furry patients but the adults too! I have always had a very positive experience there and I highly recommend the Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic to anyone who is looking for the best veterinary care for their pet.

It isnt often (at least in OUR experience) where the vet is as nice to the parents as they are to the furry family members! Not the case here. Such personable staff treatment for the dogs AND for us! And the visit didnt require a small loan as weve experienced other places. Weve often been blown away by the high cost of a visit, when DAMCs bill surprised us the other way around. Every bit of our experience was just how you would want and should be treated. Great staff, great treatment. Highly recommend - 10 out of 10!

They were polite, courteous, and cost effective. They did an fantastic job with my pit bulls ACL surgery, and now that his other back leg has the same problem we will be returning to them. We had the dog at a couple other Vets for estimates, etc, and were very disgusted at conditions and treatment from staff, but when you walk into this vet its clean, and the ladies at the desk are friendly and nice. They even had a (non patient) dog just hanging out in the office with them :)
