I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that have been going to Riverside vet for over 3 years. I also take my mothers dog there. I have never had a problem with anyone not answering the phone when I call to make an appointment. The receptionist, Lynn, has always been very nice & sympathetic to my animals needs because most have been problem visits. If I call at 9am, I usually get in that day or the next depending on the severity. Last year, my dogs were playing & one accidentally cut the lower lid of his eye. I called & was told to immediately bring him in. All was ok & visit was priced reasonably around $75. That included the exam, cornea abrasion test, eye antibiotic & a collar so he wouldnt itch or re-open the cut. Also was not charged for the follow up visit in 10 days. Hernia repair from being spayed too early from a shelter cost my mom $350? But that also included overnight stay, collar, antibiotics & pain meds for 10 days. I thought that was a little expensive but she was well taken care of & surgery was a success. My 19 y/o cat was seen immediately last week for weakness. Multiple labs drawn & visit cost $135 but had to return yesterday because he became worse. Fluids given IV, exam, medication given for pain/inflammation all cost $75. Unfortunately, I had to return but it was worth it! Dr. Cline was very concerned even tho my cat is 19. His Labs were great for his age but she had to send me for a consult in Pittsburgh because his tumor requires a specialist. I have always been received well there & have no complaints. I feel they are professional & trustworthy with my pets. They have to be up front with their policies, procedures & mostly cost of the visit. I have noticed that some people are irritated by this but its the same way if you were a patient in the hospital or Dr. Office. Humans are lucky to have health insurance but the pet insurance can have high monthly premiums but most dont cover exams, dental cleanings ($300 & up), vaccination cost or wellness visits (I think). Just cover the big stuff like cancer, hip surgery & etc. Sometimes only at 80-90% with a limit capped at $10,000 depending on your pet insurance plan. Believe me, I have priced them. Wish they had a family plan instead of individual monthly premiums. With this said, I feel that Riverside Veterinary clinic is good & I will continue to go there. Plus they offer low cost vaccination clinics in the surrounding communities like on May 1, 2016 @ Rostraver Central firehall from 12-4pm. Rabies cost $12 & combo 5 in 1 vaccinations(not sure if thats what they give or the price but its close) for dogs & cats are like $38 or something like that. I think Lyme & bordetella are additional. Hell of a lot cheaper then at the vet & there its very popular so bring a chair. They also offer drive by service. You must fill out papers & pay 1st but they will come to your car & do it. Awesome when you have cats!

While generally satisfied with the office, I ultimately was forced to leave due to the offices ridiculous policy of naming an animals owner. My ex-wife was listed as my dogs owner in the office records simply because she was the first person to bring the dog to the clinic. After taking the dog to multiple visits after the divorce and requesting each time that my name be updated as the owner of the dog on record, I was faced with ridiculous stubbornness from the staff. I was told that I would need to provide evidence that I was the owner. I tried being reasonable and explained that the dog was not part of the divorce agreement, and that I was obviously the one taking care of the animal as I was responding to an appointment post card that the office had mailed to my house. I then pointed out that if I just brought the animal in as a new client, they would not ask any questions. This went all the way up to Dr. Cline herself, and it took a letter from my ex-wife to even get the records released for the animal. Outside of that ridiculous interaction, the office hours are very limited. If you are looking for routine visits and do not ever plan on something bad happening to your animal, then they are fine, but heavens forbid that your animal gets sick, because they have no after hours availability. I can not tell you how many times I had to go to other vet clinics due to emergencies over the years.

The staff was friendly enough, and the facility wasnt bad, but I didnt feel like any attention was given to my animals. Ive been taking my Golden there since he was 3 months old, and I took my cat there once when he was 1. Almost every time (expect for his first vet visit ever), its routine checks, and then their out. Several times they didnt even tell me anything about my animals, just gave a shot (no idea what, all of a sudden a needle was in my dog) and sent me off. Being my first dog and cat, I would have loved even a comment saying that they look healthy, coat looks good, their at a good weight. Got the job done I suppose, but I felt like my animals were more a number there than a patient.

I have been going to Riverside for the last 18 years, and as you can imagine I have had a plethora of pets. Mary Beth is and honest, matter of fact vet, which I absolutely love about her. I do not care for Vets that have people invest hundreds of dollars into their animals only for them to live another 3 months. She has gone as far as calling around to different pharmacys to help me find a cheaper place to buy my dogs phenobarbital. That to me is a vet that goes above and beyond and does truly care about her customers and their pets.

I had a good experience personally. I brought in two ferrets. One had insulinoma and one needed a check up. Though both were examined, they charged me for one exam because it was simultaneous. However, I agree with a user below. If you have an emergency, you want to go to a 24 hour hospital. I would also like to say Dr. Cline did a great job and rest of the staff was wonderful. Im deeply sorry some of the users below had a bad experience.

Dr Cline is a gift from God as far as the animals are concerned. Clean, efficient and pricing is better than most others around. I truly believe that Dr Cline is the best vet i have ever seen. By far. I dont know what i would do without her. I have pets that i love dearly and would be crushed to have to go anywhere else. Thank you and bless you Doc!

Not professional at all, had an appointment, called no one answers, called for a week straight no answer, someone actually picked up the phone and hung up, called today and they said they were closed for thanksgiving, but its January, dont take your pets there, horrible place and horrible business

The fact that these guys stayed at the clinic, in their coats ready to leave and go and be with their family for Christmas, they waited for me to show up for anti-diarrhea medicine for my 10 week old puppy! These guys are amazing! Thank you so much for doing that!
