We have been going to Healthy Steps for over 8 years now. We have three children and each child LOVES the doctors office. I feel like the staff knows us, knows the kids (which the kids enjoy), and we are always with kindness and compassion. Weve had the kids seen by each of the doctors in the office and the Nurse Practitioner and we have never had an issue with anyone. The docs have been more than helpful - when our kids have needed it, theyve kept the office open after hours so we could be seen. Dr. Meyer even helped calm our extremely anxious daughter so we could extract a splinter from her finger (yes...she was so distraught we couldnt get the splinter out...but Dr. Meyer did!). When we call to ask questions the nurses are always very helpful and quick to get back to us. My only complaint would be that weve had to wait at certain times, but I know that the wait is because the doctors/practitioners/nurses are taking their time with each patient. We never feel rushed there and always feel important and heard. Thank you to Dr. Meyer, Dr. John, Dr. Searcus and LeeAnn - as well as all of the nurses and office staff!

We have loved everyone at Healthy Steps from the moment they came to Chester County Hospital to check on our newborn three years ago. Three years and 2 1/2 children later and were still just as happy as that first day! Were almost always able to get same day appointments. Weve never had a problem being heard by any of the staff, and a lot of you know what I mean by that. Some Dr.s will dismiss you or not really listen when you tell them something. At Healthy Steps each and every staff member cares for you as if you are family. Dr. Meyer helped us continue to breast feed when we were really struggling in the beginning (not in a judgey way, the way some people can be). Dr. Sirkus remained cool and calm when our infant daughter turned blue in the office (reflux). Dr. John has been able to talk me off the ledge when I check google and am convinced our child has a heart murmur (we had a child pass away and are sometimes crazier than most others). I can not say enough good things about this practice. If youre looking for a practice with Drs you trust, this is the practice for you!

Weve been with Healthy Steps since my daughter was born in 2011. They were the #1 recommendation from my obgyn and I quickly saw why. The doctors here are simply wonderful. Ive never had an issue getting an appointment and have utilized their walk-in hours a couple of times. I love that I have never experienced a long wait in either the waiting room or the exam room. Occasionally, I will call and ask to speak with a nurse if I am unsure my daughter needs an appointment and they have been wonderful in answering my questions and letting me know if she needs to be seen right away or what I can try to do at home before making an appointment. Weve seen all 3 doctors - Dr. Meyer, Dr. John, and Dr. Serkes. I feel all 3 are thorough and they take the time to answer any questions as well as address any concerns I have. The nurses are also wonderfully patient with my daughter who is terrified of getting shots - even pretending to give her stuffed animal a shot before giving her one. So glad to be apart of this practice!

My children have been with Dr. Series, Dr. Meyer, and Dr. John for twenty one years. We travel from Gilbertsville and enjoy the walk in hours that are offered each morning. The office is beautiful and even has a separate room for nursing moms. Each doctor has touched my childrens lives in different ways.. Dr. Series didnt hesitate to order tests when he saw something that concerned him. This no nonsense concerned thinking led to a remarkably fast diagnosis of cancer in my oldest. Other parents we met whose children also had cancer told me that their doctors postponed testing for sometimes months. Dr. Meyer saw my son on an early morning emergency and quickly saved him by extracting parts of a chewed up board book that was blocking his airway. Dr. John took time out for my girls specific concerns. She has knowledge, compassion, patience and understanding. I cant say enough about these doctors. They each have their unique manner and way and each truly care about the health and welfare of your kids.

I took my son there for a few years without incident. Usually we saw Dr Serkes and enjoyed his visits. The problem came when we saw Dr Meyer. My son had some fairly extensive behavioral issues and was being evaluated at the CCIU but it was recommended to us that we see his doctor for the possibility of medication. No, Im not one of those moms, this boy has since been in a psych hospital, trouble in school, etc. But at that time, Dr Meyer told me to tell the Goddard school (after kindergarten childcare) to strap him into a high chair and stick him in a corner until he could behave! Um... yeah we found a new doctor after that. Who tells someone that? Beyond not legal, its not even ethical and Id hate to think he does that to his own kids. Way to blow off a struggling mom when she turned to you for help! I suppose if your kid is normal its a great place, we could always get in fairly easily, front desk people were nice. Clean, never waited that long.

I really used to like this place in the beginning.. doctor Meyer was the best... I recently pulled my daughter out and took her to all star pediatrics. She had an appointment this morning to basically meet her new doctor and finalize the paperwork and look at her chart. It was brought to my attention by her new doctor that my daughter has Torticollis, which was noted by healthy steps in her chart. I was NEVER TOLD THIS!!!!! And her new doctor was shocked they didnt recommend physical therapy. Now she is 4 months old, god knows if shes been in pain at all.. i am so livid... and upset... the main reason I left was because of the nurses and receiptionsits. (And 2 of the doctors I wont name) but now I am so glad I left for other reasons as well!! My husband is furious as well. I cannot believe I wasnt told about this condition.

We were referred to HSP almost 8yrs ago with the birth of our first child. From the minute we joined the practice and met the staff, we knew we were steered in the right direction. Dr.Meyers passion for peds is abundant and obvious in his interactions with families and his staff. We have visited with all of the physicians and the CRNP and enjoy all of them. Every personality is different and that creates diversity, which is a beautiful thing! Nurses and desk staff have always been helpful. At times, staff can appear flustered with phones ringing constantly but they run a huge practice. Ive read some not so nice reviews and wondered, doesnt everyone have a bad day once in a while? We are all human, give people a chance. LOVE HSP (and CMMD) and could not imagine having to go elsewhere for my families medical needs!!!
