Dr. Amber Treaster is incredibly knowledgeable and very ready to treat whatever hurts! I suffered from Plantar Fasciitis for three months before going to a doctor. My friend recommended Harrisburg Foot & Ankle because she had a great experience there. I looked at the website and read through the biographical info on the doctors. All were highly trained physicians boasting degrees from excellent colleges and universities. I decided I would feel comfortable with a female practitioner. I was correct! Dr. Amber Treaster was very knowledgeable about Plantar Fasciitis. She explained everything to me in detail. She is not someone who will immediately prescribe shots or surgery. She gave me great advice about what type of shoe I needed. And she explained the value of engaging in treatments step by step (literally!.) I wish I had gone to her when I first woke up with the pain. Its been six weeks of doing foot stretching exercises on my own, wearing orthotics in my shoes that the awesome physicians assistant measured perfectly, and checking back with Dr. Treaster. My foot is 90% better! I hear this is a miracle as Plantar Fasciitis without treatment can last 6 months! I am recommending Dr. Treaster to all my friends!!

I went to see Dr. Treaster after being misdiagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis, even through I wasnt aware that it was a misdiagnosis at the time. Since I already had a diagnosis she didnt even attempt to try to come to a correct diagnosis. After five appts and spending hundreds of dollars on unnecessary PT, and not seeing any improvement, and being told by Dr. Treaster that my case of Plantar Fasciitis was unique and she wasnt even sure how to help me and that this might just be a chronic foot issue, I went to a different DR. That DR immediately diagnosed me with a nerve issue. I went see Dr. Treaster for something relatively simple but not something complicated.

Just tried calling to make an appointment and had to leave a message with a machine. I called another practice and a human answered. She was very pleasant, asked all the right questions, was very kind and respectful, and I am scheduled for an appointment! NOT happy will HBG Foot and Ankle already...
