If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Let me start by saying I have been a nurse for 10yrs & the medical advice I have been given @ this place is nothing short of ridiculous & moronic. My husband brought our 3yr old son here on Thursday due to a sore throat, swollen glands & high fever. They tested for strep, which came back negative, then sent the culture to the lab. We were told to call on Saturday if he still had a fever. I called on Saturday (my son is on day #5 of a fever that consistently reaches 102° & would probably go higher if I didnt give motrin) spoke to a nurse who said she would have the doctor review the chart & call me back but, we would have to wait until Monday (which would be day #7 of high fever) to be seen since his cultures werent back from the lab yet. 45min later, without a return call from a doctor, I called back seeing as they would be closing in 30min due to their shortened hours on Saturdays. I spoke to another nurse who went to get a doctor, only to come back on the line & tell me that the doctor said he would take a look at my son again if I wanted to come in. I asked if there was any sort of plan to prescribe him an antibiotic, if not, I wasnt going to waste time & money going down there being that nothing had changed since they had looked at him 2 days prior. She responded with, "We dont just give antibiotics for nothing". To which I responded with, "forget it, I will take him to urgent care". Urgent care did what they were supposed to do. They tested for strep again just to be sure (was negative) & prescribed him a broad spectrum antibiotic until the cultures return from the lab, at which time, the antibiotic could be changed if need be. What most people dont know is that doctors get kickbacks/bonuses at the end of the year for things such as... getting people to quit smoking and NOT PRESCRIBING ANTIBIOTICS. This office has been terrible from the first appointment we had when my son was born. However, he has really never been sick or had any serious health issues that I couldnt remedy myself. Thank God I never had to fully rely on their advice or lack thereof. If you are someone who believes whatever your doctor says, I highly recommend (for your childs safety & well being) you find another practice where the doctors have your little ones best interest at heart. I will be doing just that.

I wish I could rate it less stars. Dr Lai is phenomenal but this practice as a whole is a disaster. 1) weve never waited less than 1 1/2 hours to be seen for appointments 2) its nearly impossible to get someone on the phone during office hours 3) weve left messages on multiple occasions to which we never received replies 4) Dr Brister berated my wife for not having a blanket on the baby but the room was quite warm. I called and kindly left a message for the office manager to call me about Dr. Brister and never received a reply. (I am not a hot head) 5) its my opinion this office takes on way too many patients 6) we called the office one Friday because the baby was sleeping a lot and they sent us to the ER that afternoon during office hours without even seeing the baby. The ER said the pediatricians office called and gave them the impression the baby was seen in the office and was very sick. They said she was sent to rule out sepsis. The ER docs were shocked to see that she was perfectly fine. They were as aggravated as we were to find out that we were sent to the ER, where there are plenty of legitimately sick people, and put the baby in harms way unnecessarily. Any one of these 6 issues is enough to walk away from this place. Im a forgiving and optimistic person. I give way too much benefit of the doubt. This is my daughter and wife these people are messing with and Im done with it. I dont care if theyre associated with CHOP, its not worth all of this.

I have never rated any business or any place for that matter though I have been using google and gmail for years. But I had to say something about this place. I would give this place negative stars if they were available. We used CHOP Kennett Square earlier and it was great. But we moved to Yardley area and got my daughters files transferred here. The very first visit was a disaster. This was a 9 month wellness visit and doctor (Dr Levi) told us that she is failing to thrive. He suggested that we get a blood check for my 9 month old! He said she could be having asbestos/lead poisoning. We had to go to the lab to get the babys blood drawn and it was painful to watch the nurse take 5 vials of blood from a babys arm. Everything came back negative!! Not to mention the hour long wait everytime we go there. This morning the baby had a bit of a cough, we wanted to see the doctor and tried to call them atleast 10 times. They phone lines were dead! For 5 hours! Atlast when we got an appointment, they made us wait for an hour when a sick baby is wearing nothing but diapers and screaming her lungs out! We are transferring our files to a different clinic asap. This clinic does not deserve to be affiliated with CHOP. Avoid this place.

i used to take my twins to this practice, thought they were really good. was i WRONG!!!! we got to meet tjhe nurse practioner, bad idea, she was ignorant, rude, and rushed us out of the visit like she didnt have the time of day to deal with my kids. She blew off my concerns over problems my daughter was having and took 10 minutes to exam both children and was gone, she had other things to do. This is after we sat in a hot room for over an hour waiting to be seen. That wass the first straw, when my 18 month was almost stuck by a USED OPEN NEEDLE that was laying in arms reach of children on the counter, I proceeded to tell the nurse, she said oh just tell us when that happens. Im sorry, that should never happen!!!!!!! God only knows who or what the needle had on it. Im supposed to be ok with if my child is stuck with a used needle and gets god only knows what disease from it.. NOT IN MY LIFE!!!! i would never in my life recommend this practice to anyone that cares about their childs health and well being. i couldnt leave that office fast enough.

This clinic has been renamed as CHOP care network at Newtown. I truely doubt about their qualification to be affiliated with CHOP. I only went there 3 times but already noticed how quickly the doctor blew off my questions and he finished exam my twin daughts in less than 10 minutes! The staff is horrible. They took back 2 disposible medical masks I took from a small desk at the entrance which were supposed to be distributed to people in need. The reason was that they only give masks to people who are sick and I did not pay for these two masks. I had a coworker who was having flu and I started to fill itchy throat. Prevenstion the spread of virus to my kis was not a justified reason for them. My insurance and I paid thousands of dollars for my twin daughters visits to them, and they told me I have not paid for two masks which cost like 2 cents per piece at Amazon. The way they treated my kis and the attitude with they talked are just unacceptable. Stay away from them.
