I was a former receptionist here, what a lot of these negative reviews do not understand is that there are over 15,000 patients in that family practice system alone. We work hard to make sure every patient gets accommodated accordingly and we do it with all a smile. I had to leave due to personal reasons but I physically enjoyed working here because every one was so nice from the physicians down to the people who worked next door to us. If youre on hold for 15-20 min at a time, it truly isnt the front desk fault since they got a new phone system back in April that puts you on hold once every phone is busy at the moment. There are 7 receptionists who work the front desk and we receive over 100+ calls in the first half of the morning. Those negative reviews below me, have no idea the amount of work the front desk staff at martinsville go through but they do everything to make sure the patients needs are fulfilled to the best of their ability. The doctors know exactly what theyre doing which is why this practice keeps growing in popularity. I highly recommend care for you and your family, you truly wont regret it. :)

My doctor there is always helpful and nice but the some of ladies at the front desk really need some serious training in customer service. I am new to the place and this one time I called to cancel an appointment because they told me I didnt have to see the doctor and that they will send me the medicine. It turned out they never sent the medicine and never cancelled the appointment and they never let me know that the doctor said he wanted to see me. I called for unrelated issue and that is how I found out and if I didnt call I would have never known. In other couple of occasion the ladies helping seemed they lacked of patience and even though I was being nice they made me feel uncomfortable .

My doctor is very helpful and nice, but the front desk staff really need some serious training, almost all of them I spoke to have attitude problem, if it is scheduling apts or forwarding prescriptions to pharmacy etc. Always on hold for 15-20 min then it gets disconnected. Looks like they are not trained properly they dont even know how prescriptions are forwarded to pharmacy. I am just there because my doctor is really good otherwise I would have left it. I hope the doctors know they are losing patients because of front desk staff and some action is taken.

I and my entire family have been using this practice for over 15 years and have never been disappointed with the group. The support staff are unfailingly friendly, polite and efficient. The doctors are caring, conscientious, and knowledgable. Although they are busy, appointments are easy to get and if theres an emergency the make time to see you. They also handle any insurance issue efficiently. Were lucky to have them!

I only see one doctor here shes nice, but front desk staff has a serious attitude problem. Gave me hell for making appointment for Flueshot because same day appt are for sock people, I even told On phone that its for flueshot, LOL. Poorly mannered front desk staff.
