Let me start out by saying that I had been a patient of Dr. Richardson, who owned Eye Care of The Valley, for 35-40 years. I am legally blind in my right eye, and Dr. Richardson had me coming in yearly, so she could make sure the health of my eyes did not get any worse. After Dr. Richardson sold the practice, I continued to go on an annual basis...until I lost my job 6 1/2 years ago. I am still struggling financially, having to take on jobs that pay 1/3 of my previous income. And, I have NO insurance of any kind. My eyes have really been bothering me lately, and I can tell that my eyesight is getting worse. I called Eye Care of The Valley to see if they would be able to cut me a break on their charges, so that I could make an appointment. I was told - "No, the charge will be $85.00" for just the appointment, and that did not include any tests. Needless to say, after patronizing this practice for almost 4 decades, I was more than irritated. It seems as though the new (last several years) owners care more about the almighty dollar, than they do about their patients. My eyesight is VERY important to me, but apparently is not very important to the doctor who owns the practice. :-(

I have been a patient at Eyecare of the Valley for years now. I always get a friendly and warm greeting upon arrival. Never have to wait long for the doctor either. Any problems or questions I have are addressed with care and concern. The time spent in with the doctor is never rushed. I will always go there for eye care, as long as Dr. Eiss is there! He is the one I have always seen. Very kind and friendly. He makes sure to ask about my family. Its an all around relaxing environment and experience. All nice people there!

Our family has been going to Eyecare of the Valley in Pennsburg for about 5 years. The doctors are thorough and patient. The facility is new and modern. The location is convenient to where we live. They have extended hours so it is easy and convenient to visit outside of regular business hours.

First time visit to the office. Everyone was pleasant and very helpful. Dr. was patient and listened to my concerns. Not rushed though the appointment. Made some great suggestions for me to try. They gave me sample contacts and I lost one the next day and they gave me another sample pair.

Friendly,prompt service; doctor takes her time and explains things as she progresses through the exam. They also have an alternative to the "blow in the eye" test.
