Dr. Schoonover is the reason why I was able to graduate with honors. Before I went to Dr. Schoonover, I went to Northeast Eye. They were highly inefficient and never took the time to properly test and manage my eyes. I am legally blind in both eyes and neither dominantly near or far sighted, yet Northeast Eye only prescribed me single focal lenses! Dr. Schoonover took the time to examine my eyes fully and determine multi focal lenses and contacts that would best fit my needs. She worked diligently with my insurance to get me the best rates possible. Recommended the best frames for the extreme daily use. And she even took the time to pick out frames that would work for the size of lenses needed, based on the budget I could afford, and the style I liked! She actually cared about me and even made post care calls to ensure the contacts and lenses were working. I am not just a patient to her, I am a person and that is rare to find in doctors today. Since I have started seeing Dr. Schoonover my headaches have decreased, my vision strength has increased, and I was made aware of other diseases I was never informed of at Northeast. Her due diligence made it possible for me to read without a magnifying glass or headaches, which made it possible for me to keep up with my school work load. She made it possible for me to see what everyone else sees for the first time in my life! Thank you Dr. Schoonover for everything!

After four stops here, I am fed up. Even with an appointment, my initial eye appointment took over an hour and a half to get from the waiting room to the exam room. Receptionists kept pushing glasses on me to try and made the selection process very uncomfortable. Stopped back after picking up my glasses to get them adjusted and waited an hour before being seen. A few months later the lenses began peeling (I had anti-glare and transition coating added) so I brought them in to get replaced. Doctor proceeded to tell me the reason why they began peeling was because my insurance was terrible and they often cut corners. Went back to get the lenses replaced, and after an hour the receptionist began the process. When I tried them on I realized she had severely bent them out of place. After major fixes, I thought everything was resolved. The very next day I see that the frames are wobbling and the screws are tight, which means Im going back yet again to get them fixed. Between the time stuck in the waiting room and the lack of professionalism, once I get these fixed, I will NOT be going back. Ever.

Excellent experience! Dr. Becky has been great with my 3 children! Was very, very patient teaching my daughter to put in her contacts. She also called me back on a weeknight when my child had a minor eye injury. I highly recommend her!
