I tried Eye Care of the Valley for this first time recently, after having bad experiences with other area optometrists. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The eye exam was professionally done. Their selection of frames was good, and staff member Todd was a HUGE help in making a frame selection, and also did a great job with adjustments, etc. Prices were good. No long waiting times, either for exam, or for frame selection assistance, or for fitting. I am very happy with the final product. I then recommended them to someone else who, because of his constantly changing work schedule, has a tough time making appointments in advance, and the Eye Care staff worked hard with very little notice to get him an appointment that fit his schedule.

I visited this new eye care store based on my insurances list of suppliers. 1. Eye examine by Dr. Steve was done properly and with good care. 2. The store staff was indifferent at best, did not care about the needs and did not provide quality information for frame/lense selection. 3. The glasses were delivered in almost 2 weeks, well exceeded the norm. 4. Then when it finally showed up, the staff was not trained to fit the eye glasses on customer - in several trial-and-error attempt to adjust the frame, she never even once touched my ear or nose for fitting. She definitely lacks customer service skills as well as professional skills. 5. Overall poor quality and poor services. BMY Januuary 3, 2009

I went here for my eye exam which was way overdue. The doctor actually found a sliver of metal in my eye that he promptly removed for me. He then did what he could of my tests and felt it better for me to return in a week after the eye heals for better results. Very professional and on his game. I will continue to use them, they are a class operation.

Locally owned business with ample parking and friendly staff. Glasses take a bit longer than other places so be patient.
