Hes very rude. I told him I needed the pediatric x-ray tabs because the adult tabs make me choke, he got frustrated and forced me to use the adult size, so when I started to cry and choke he pulled it out and I said "Ive been to the dentist before, may I please have the child size now" and he said yes in such a way that made me want to punch him . and as he went to get the child size his assistant then decided to chime in and say "dont worry Im a gagger too" that would have been nice of her to say 5 mins earlier when I was being ignored and made to feel like an idiot that didnt know any better. And then after giving me novacaine, the top of my tongue was just numb enough to make it feel swollen and affect my gag reflexes so He proceeded to put the crown back on my molar but I sat up and leaned forward crying because after begging the assistant to use the mirror to move my tongue away from where they were working because it felt like I was swallowing it. Key word being felt. they both stood there and stared at me without a clue as to what to do to help me only to then tell me he couldnt help me and I had to go somewhere else. And some other assistant playing captain obvious found it necessary to yell at me screaming that my tongue was connected to my mouth so I couldnt possibly be swallowing it. Even though I said it just feels like Im swallowing it. And when I asked why they simply couldnt move my tongue over with the mirror I didnt get a response and was asked to leave after swearing at them

He left me shaking in physical shock, crying in pain. . Two weeks after my fathers death an abscess formed on gum due to a bad root canal (confirmed by two other oral surgeons). He took no care for the pain I was in nor the fear I had, injecting the novacaine INTO THE ABSCESS, & not a few teeth down and waiting for numbing to spread. Then, despite the pain cut into the abscess Immediately after the injection, and squeezed my face forcing puss oit instead of letting it drain. . The physical pain, shock, and distress left me crying and shaking for ten minutes. . The Dental Hygienist was even visibly shaken by the ordeal. . In the few seconds he stayed after, I was told to "suck it up" and in which time he did Not once apologize for being so rough, try to comfort me, or even show sympathy for the lose of my 51yr old father. . It has taken me Weeks to work up the courage to write of this, I plan to report this incident to the insurance company as well

I made an appointment about 3 months ago, scheduled about a month out. They called a few days before and said my appointment was cancelled because the doctor wont be in that day, so they rescheduled me another 6 weeks out. My appointment was supposed to be in a few days and I received ANOTHER call stating that he will be out of the office and that my appointment will have to be postponed another 5 weeks out. Great business practices, Smeagle.

Dr Smiga very well could have saved my life. There was a spot on my tongue that didnt seem to be too threatening, but he wanted to have certainty. He referred me to South Hills ENT and Dr Paul Scolieri there. They found a very small Stage 1 tumor and removed it. I wasted no time following up with the ENT, and Im forever grateful that Dr Smiga referred me.
