Dr. Shulman was the first dentist I saw after my family dentist of 15+ years retired. She is a genuine and knowledgeable professional and I recommend any dental patient in the North Hills to go to her. Due to the brief period between my previous dentist retiring and finding Dr. Shulman, I had two cavities -- my first since I was a child with baby teeth. The procedure was quick and I couldnt help but note how deliberate she was to ensure my bite was perfect and not uncomfortable. Any patient whose had dental work done such as fillings can understand that some hasty dentists will drill, fill, and rush you out the door, and your bite feels "off" because the new fillings dont conform to the shape of your teeth. Dr. Shulman was deliberate and efficient in ensuring my comfort during and long after the procedure. I highly recommend her.

A CROWN CAME OFF ON THE MORNING OF A PARTY IN MY HONOR - DOCTOR JOHN TOOK ME IN ON SHORT NOTICE, DID A THOROUGH PREPARATION AND REPLACEMENT - IN THE PROCESS, FOUND MY BITE NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED TO ELIMINATE THE CAUSE OF THE CROWN COMING LOOSE - (SOMETHING MY PREVIOUS DENTIST FAILED TO DO PROPERLY) - HE ALSO EXPLAINED EACH STEP OF THE PROCEDURE, AS IT PROCEEDED - THE CHARGE WAS LESS THAN I EXPECTED - "MY DENTIST" IS NOW MY NEW DENTIST - IF THERE WERE MORE THAN FIVE STARS AVAILABLE ON THIS REVIEW, I WOULD HAVE CHECKED THEM -

Dr. Karen is an excellent dentist and one of the most caring, compassionate professionals I have ever met. She has been our family dentist for nearly 20 years and an outstanding resident in our community for many more. Shame on the person who wrote a negative review! It was malicious and does not represent "My Dentist" or the person I know. I highly recommend Dr. Karen and her staff as they are caring practitioners who work well together and provide excellent care.

I just recently switched Dentist and selected Dr. Karen Shulman based on comments from community members. Dr. Shulman made my transition back to the dentist office very comfortable, easy and welcoming. People who know me find that when I comment on anything, I did my research to find the best. I can honestly say you wont be dis-appointed with Dr. Karen Shulman or her office staff for all of your dental needs.

While visiting from Chicago, I had a dental emergency and called my regular dentist who found Dr. Shulman. It was 8:45pm when she offered to meet me at her office in 15 minutes. She is kind, generous, and proficient, and has a beautiful new office with an amazing collection of antique stained glass panels. If I lived in Pittsburgh, shed be my dentist hands down!

I have very sensitive teeth and am not fond of seeing a dentist, but Dr Shulman is the most gentle and accomidating dentist I have ever met. She is very caring and does fantastic work with very little pain.
