Overall, I was pleased with the care the nurse and PA gave me on Sunday. It was really busy in the place, so I had to wait. Keep in mind, my temp was 102 and I was feeling light headed, basically lousy. But, I was dealing with it. However, after two people who came in AFTER I did got sent back to see the doctor, I went up to the desk and asked the guy who was checking people in what was going on. He told me that they were previous patients who were pre-registered, and they got priority. I was very vocal in expressing my displeasure, and he just sort of looked at me and "apologized" and said that was policy. I went back, sat down, thought about it for a minute and went back and asked how many more of the people who had come in after me were in front of me. He said one (1). I told him that was unacceptable, I was sitting there quietly with a 102 deg temperature and I wanted to be the next one to see the doctor. He really didnt act like he cared how I felt. But, I believe because I was causing a rucus, he said hed see what he could do. Lo and behold, I was the next one called. The nurse was very thorough and nice. Once I got to the PA, she was very thorough too, and very personable. Ran strep quick test and a flu test and ruled both those out. She said it was a virus and there wasnt much they could for it (which is what I expected), but it was nice to have it verified. She did give me some good cough syrup to help control the horrible viral cough I had developed. They also helped find a local (well, Kennett, but close enough) 24 hour CVS where I could go get my prescription filled immediately. It was Saturday night, Memorial Day weekend, and everything else was closed. So, Kudos to them for that. The professional care I got once I was seen was top notch. However, their front office "Policy about seeing patients on a "priority" basis is abysmal. I will be call them to complain rather loudly. If I ever encounter that again, I will turn around and leave, regardless of how sick I am. The only reason they got 4 stars was because of their doctors, not their front office staff. The rating for their front office staff would be 1 Star!

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. This place was a terrible decision. I get there and the initial nurse I encountered was rude and inconsiderate. Treating me like I was faking the pain, asked me the standard questions with a condescending tone and clearly wasnt paying attention. Next I encountered the doctor, who wasnt so bad... yet. The x-ray tech was not understanding to my ailment in the least, getting frustrated with me when I couldnt do a certain action because of the injury. Then when I pointed something out to the doctor, proceeded to do somethings to the injury that was worse than the pain I was feeling initially! Finally when I was getting ready to leave, the rude nurse returned to dress my injury and give me loads of attitude and have no idea what she was doing because every time I asked her a question, proceeded to not answer my questions but snap with a rude and unhelpful response. JUST when you think the problems are over, I go to the local pharmacy to pick up my prescription... and the physician has prescribed me with something I TOLD HER I WAS ALLERGIC TO AND COULD KILL ME. I had TOLD them several times I was highly allergic to one type of medicine and they turn around and prescribe me JUST THAT... Thank goodness the local pharmacy had it on file that I was allergic to this medication. As I left, the pharmacist told me I should never go back. Im going to agree and advise you... never EVER go to Pioneer Urgent FAIL!

I recently went to "Pioneer Urgent Care" with a very bad sore thought and a fever I had for some days and was not very happy with the treatment. - Had to wait for about 1hr even though initially I was told it will just take 10min - which I can partly understand as they are an urgent care unit and some cases might take longer. - The nurse recorded the history of my illness. Every little explanation from my side is interrupted - basically we just fill out some multiple choice questionaire on the computer. Free text is not really expected. - After 90min I finally see a doctor she seems to be not very familar with the questionaire I filled out with the nurse (quotes some information incorrectly) but gives no time to explain - After a short look at me (30sec) she tells me that she will put me on an antibiotic. No real diagnosis whatshowever. After I say that I would prefer that she gives me some diagnosis before blindly prescribing some antibiotic she agrees to do some smear test from my throat and at least listen to my lung. Summary: If you really have something urgent better go to the emergency room in chester hospital - if it is not super urgent better go to your family physician, who will at least take some time to listen to your symptoms and do some checks before blindly perspecibing some medicine (and potentially let you take an antiobotic for no reason for a week)

“I have had nothing but real positive experiences all 4 times that I needed urgent care and went to Pioneer Clinic on Route 202. I saw a doctor who is a Navy Veteran. What make her a better doctor are her up-front confidence and kindness, soft spoken, calm, and a caring individual whose diagnoses were right at all four times! – 1st visit was for me, I had a lot pain in my arm which I thought it had been spider bites and it turned out to be stinky shingles, 2nd visit she literally saved one my workers life that had been attacked by bees followed by a nasty allergy reaction. Dr. Faye Myers and everyone else present at that time were extremely efficient, and worked as fast as they could to make sure that my worker would leave. After stabilizing him Dr. Meyers proceeded to educate my worker and me about allergic reactions and what to do to prevent it. The other visits she helped with my grand-children to get rid of fever and throat infections. Aside that Pioneer has wonderful professionals and caring doctors, the place in so clean, with easy parking and conveniently located for lots of folks. I am giving Pioneer Clinic Five Stars Rate! And I hope you will not need it but if so, this is the place to go! Teresinha F. Angarita – Teresa - Media, PA

I went to this center a few months ago and had a less than satisfactory experience. (Yes, Im still upset about it months later... and the outrageous $200+ bill I paid for virtually nothing.) When youre feeling sick enough to go to an Emergency Care Facility, you shouldnt have to deal with rude staff. After leaving the waiting room, I sat behind a curtain and listened to the doctor and another staff member gossip about a former patient for about 20 minutes while I waited for him. With a patient 4 feet away, can you be any less professional? When he finally entered he did not introduce himself and spoke to me as though I were a 10 year old faking sick to get out of school. He made me feel stupid for asking a simple question about my condition and prescribed me an ineffective antibiotic. I experienced only worsening symptoms. It wasnt until my family doctor prescribed me a more powerful antibiotic that I began to feel better. I wish I could write a more pleasant review, but I’m still frustrated by my experience at this center. Next time I’ll wait until my family doctor is able to see me.
