Very rude staff. The rudest staff at this location is Madonna. Poor customer service. I refuse to go back to this office after dealing with Madonna who said I must be seen every three months or my Rxs cannot be refilled. I switched to the Lake Murray office, and they are just as rude. It does not matter how good the doctor is if the office staff is rude. They would not print a detailed receipt...(any doctors office gives you this...has the dx codes on it checked). My medical spending account requires this and my cancer and stroke policies require it. They give you a cash register receipt only and are very rude about telling you that you cannot have this. If I cannot get reimbursed...new doctor!!! My husband liked Dr. Brown but he is furious about how I have been treated. We will both have new doctors (Greg and Kathleen Moore).

The office is conveniently located. Afternoon appointments are usually delayed significantly. Dr. Malinchak is very unprofessional and inattentive. Several appts had to be rescheduled because he was so grossly behind & I had to return to work after waiting at least an hour! My most recent and last apt with him, was delayed 1 hour because he was doing a phone consult with another doctor. When he finally came into the exam room, he was unprepared, didnt remember me (even though Ive seen him 3 times in the last 3 months), and hadnt reviewed by chart. Spoke to me for about 5 mins and then tried to leave again to take another consultation phone call! Save yourself some time and select another doctor in the practice or go to another location.

I went to see Dr Malinchak yesterday afternoon with dizziness and nausea. I was pleasantly surprised by his attentiveness to every aspect of my well being. He smiled as he observed me as he learned my medical history because it was our first meeting. His kindness quickly put me and my teenage daughter at ease. Without having to ask him for anything I wanted done for years he ordered it done. Its like hed known me all my life and was reading my mind. A friend of mine told me how great the centers he is a part of are. I had a chance to see the wonder first hand. I and my friend would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the good work and welcome to Columbia Dr Malinchak.

Midtown Family Medicine takes the cake as one of the worst primary care offices I have been to. Their staff and doctors are rude and unorganized. One week prior to my visit I mailed in my initial paper work and records transfer request which they lost upon my arrival for my establish care appointment. The doctor I was initially assigned, Dr. Mofor, had the poorest bedside manner of any doctor Ive dealt with. Lastly, after requesting a referral to see a specialist I was told by the staff that they would have an answer in a couple of days. I did not hear back concerning the referral for three and a half weeks. Save yourself the frustration and find somewhere else.

I had a very positive first appointment with Dr Malinchak today. I made an appointment at the Lexington location but the doctor canceled, and the first available appointment was at the Columbia location, Midtown. It is located in a rough area of town in a dated building. I had no idea what to expect! I was so pleasantly surprised. He was so thorough! He checked everything and im a nurse so i know what im talking about. He is a very kind man and helped me tremendously. Brenda was nice, also. And the guy at checkout who is a snoopy fan. Dr Malinchak is a fantastic doctor. One other thing, the self pay price for my appointment was cheaper than the minute clinic.

Drove a friend in for labs. People had to stand outside because the receptionist had massive amounts of perfume on. She seemed oblivious to the fact that she had caused someone to have an asthma attack. Why do health care professionals wear perfume knowing this? It seems negligent. The perfume made me sick and I waited outside. The lab people were running 20 minutes late and then could not figure out how to get blood out of my friends arm. Makes you wonder. He was first in line and still late for work due to their ineptness. I would skip this place! He is looking for something more on the ball.

Mrs. G/Mrs. Boatwright along with the lady at the check out were wonderful! I usually go to Saluda Pointe Family Medicine in Lexington. Both of my doctors I usually see are great, but the staff and nurses are terrible @ the one in Lexington (2 years of horrendous experiences). However, I was pleased at Midtown with the experience. Prompt with the appointment time, physician took time to make sure all my issues were addressed, the lady in the lab was very nice, and so was the lady at the check out. Very pleased here and will continue to go here instead to the one near my house in Lexington.

Dr Mofor is incredible, the lab is very skilled, but the rest of the staff is totally disorganized. Twice I have had glitches with my prescriptions, called for days on end and finally have to go into the office and the office manager promised to handle, but didnt. Now Im out of the meds, called again and they said "Dr Mo didnt prescribe this" and I said "Ill bring the bottle down and show you, AND make a scene until you resolve this" and was told "bring it" and the call ended.

I am a patient here and it only because of Dr. Waters. He is really good. Unfortunately the place is horrible, the front desk lady has yawned in my face, the waiting room makes the DMV look like a palace, and they are dodgy with their medical records. Once I was checking out and saw a persons medical file open...I could see her name, address, DOB, and diagnosis (PID).....ouch... When you call expect to be put on hold and also expect that appointment times are meaningless.

Dont bother. I would highly recommend Dr. P. Brown at the Lexington location, but if you can help it skip this office. Front office staff is rude and your appointment time will never be honored. Today I watched a woman storm out after waiting an hour for her appointment and listening to the receptionist admit that they skipped her for someone else in the waiting room. Healthcare is a business and you still need to practice good customer service.

Dr. Mofor is fine- very nice, attentive, and professional. The office is a nightmare. Its worse than the DMV. It took more than two weeks for someone from the office to call my insurance company and authorize my medication, meanwhile I was shelling out nearly $100 per pill out of pocket. I repeatedly called the office only to be told conflicting stories each time. Im pretty sure they were just making up stuff to get me off the phone.

the disrespect they show their patients by not even being close to honoring appointment times is ridiculous...and I share the sentiments of many others below, the staff isnt pleasant and the doctors seem to be hacks...the waiting room usually looks like a cattle call audition and when I was there today, a light was out in the exam room I was in and the place seemed dingy... do yourself a favor and find another family practice

Both doctors, nurses, and staff have been very kind and courteous. Ive had around five or so appointments over the past year with dr. brown and recall one long wait which they were very apologetic about. Overall I really like the office and the speed of lab work being done on site as well. Compared to the other office I tried before, I feel extremely well treated here.
