What a wonderful and reassuring surprise -- and right when we needed it. For the last 25 years, Ive been going to one veterinarian. My little dogs and I have seen each other through many things and we (they and I) know just how important it is to have not a good veterinarian, but a great one, a fabulous one -- one who is a scholar in the field and who is also completely warm and caring. So today, i had an urgent need and, finding our usual veterinarian on vacation and her partners booked until after Christmas, I thought of a friend who feels the same about her dogs doctor as I feel about mine -- I just couldnt remember who that doctor was, but its Dr. Isabelle. I called right away and had a great introductory talk with the receptionist (Stephanie) who pretty much got us right in. Now look, after going to one doctor for 25 years, its probably natural to feel a little uncertain in a new experience with people youre just meeting. I began to get over that during that initial phone call and everything -- everything(!) -- about our visit this morning made me more and more certain we (he and I) were in the right place at the right moment. Like all of you, I really need to see my little boy (pardon me, but Im one of those who thinks of him that way) treated with great gentleness and great personal interest -- maybe you, like me, have needs like that. Dr. Isabelle is really extra special -- yes, she has all the qualities Ive mentioned here and also has a steady, look-you-in-the-eye manner and sincerity. She got right to work and did it gracefully and in a way I liked in the extreme. After the tests, the well-explained results and medicine, she and her staff saw us off with a motherly admonition to call in the morning to let them know how my little fellow is doing. Perfect. From top to bottom -- perfect.

Well, first off I would like to say that I worked at a veterinary hospital for 5 years and expect a lot. We moved here in 2012 and the hunt was on. Ive been to three other vet hospitals before finding Dr. Isabelle Ying! And I have 9 dogs! First off I did have a kitty and she had been to another vet and this is when I decided to go to Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital. She tried quite a few things before she suggested the ultrasound because of the cost, but nothing was helping. So we did the ultrasound and it was not good news. Likely stomach cancer . So heres the thing. She is very compassionate but tells you the way it is. I knew what was coming but it didnt make it any easier to hear, so I had her put down. Nothing should have to suffer like that. Now, on to a few more of my pets. Sealy is 16 1/2 and had gotten sick. Dr Isabelle diagnosed her and got her on meds quickly. I think I lived there for about a month. Sealy was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She did well for a couple of weeks and took a back set. I was ready to have her put down and Dr. Isabelle wanted me to give it another try. So glad I did. Shes doing much better and she does have a few other health problems that dr. Isabelle monitors. Now, on to my 14 1/2 year old that is in congestive heart failure. Dr. Isabelle put her on med and has monitored her as well and she continues to improve. Luckily the rest of my little ones have only had a few little things and routine shots. The prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend her as a Vet. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. They know every pet that comes in! I know you cant please everyone but my suggestion would be this, give her a try and make your own decision. Because my opinion, you wont be disappointed

This is our first time wintering in Myrtle Beach. Our 8 year old calico became ill on our second Friday night and not having a vet in the area, I was at the mercy of calling vets from the internet, I called Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital first thing on Saturday morning and spoke to Stephanie who was so kind and compassionate and got us in right away. We then met with Dr. Isabelle Ying who examined our cat and determined she had an intestinal blockage which required surgery. She also developed an upper respiratory infection from our other cat. Dr. Ying was very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable and explained every step of the process. She kept us informed with status calls and encouraged us to visit our cat each day while she was there. While she went on vacation, Dr. Lauren took over without a hitch. She was also very kind and knowledgeable. Heidi, the vet tech also kept us updated and provided loving care for our cat. Throughout this entire illness, everyone we encountered at MB Animal Hospital was professional, kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend them for your pet needs.

I took my Boxer/lab mix to the Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital for a second opinion. And I am SO happy I did. our last vet said she only had hot spots and did no tests at all. We spend tons and tons of money and even had to shave her. She did not get better. I came to MBAH and they knew right away what was wrong with her and did a few tests to make sure (something her last vet never did) The vet and wonderful staff took their time to answer my questions. My Bella is a bit high energy and they were more than great with her! We had our visit on Tuesday and we can already see amazing results in our pup. I am so happy to find a place that has taken great care of my baby and not just worried about up selling us on things she does not need. I cannot stress how great it feels to be sure she will be ok! Their prices are great too! if you want peace of mind about your baby at a great price go see Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital! **UPDATE** I cant say enough good things about this vet! I love the staff and how well they know and love our fur babies.... its been almost 4 years with this vet and we will never go anywhere else!!

My husband and I brought our little furry boy, Indi on vacation with us from Pa. He had been sick, but, we were told by our vet at home that the tests didnt show anything! Indi became very ill while here, we called and made an appointment with Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital! They made an appointment and saw us right away! We were greeted by Shelby and she was so loving to Indi! Then we met Dr. Isabelle Ying! She was professional, caring, concerned and wonderful with Indi! She ran all the necessary tests and explained everything to us in detail! The results were that our little dog has cancer and its too far along to be treated! We were treated with sincere compassion and kindness, we couldnt have asked for better care! Indi has made remarkable progress after Dr. Ying performed a thoracentesis and placed Indi on meds! Hes almost back to his normal self! We cant thank Dr. Ying and Shelby enough for taking such excellent care of Indi! We highly recommend Myrtle Beach Animal Hospital! Jim and Tammie Hazlett
