In all the years that I have owned a pet, I have yet to meet a vet who wasnt kind and compassionate and sincerely loved animals. Dr. Stone is no different but he, and his staff, are a cut above the rest. When I take my socialized feral to them, they exude love and dedication and are so kind in teaching me, a rookie cat owner, what is typical cat behavior and how to provide for the unique needs of a socialized feral. Before Hurricane Matthew made it our way, the staff responded quickly to my concerns and questions. A month ago, I read an article regarding dog and cat vaccinations that greatly concerned me. I sent a Facebook private message to them about this and got an immediate answer. At my appointment the next week, Dr. Stone elaborated on this topic, without my needing to prompt him. He just the kind of person who knows your animal and your concerns and has the type of personality and knowledge base that makes you feel assured and welcomed and part of the Animal Hospital of SC family. There are 3 other Vet practices between my home and AHSC but I happily drive the extra distance to Dr. Stones practice.

We adopted our rescued dog at All 4 Paws and were told to bring her to the Animal Hospital of South Carolina for a heart worm check after she had been given the medicine by the people who had her before we did. The staff and Dr Stone were wonderful with Carly. She had a rough start in a puppy mill and is extreme timid. Dr Stone spent time with us and the staff was so nice that we decided to make this her place for care. We also boarded her for 2 nights and she did great! Everyone is very kind and friendly. September 8, 2017 We brought the girls in for their annual check up and once again it was an enjoyable visit. Dr Stone and the tech sat right down on the floor with our dogs and checked them an gave them injections they needed. It was a great experience for them and us.

We had a great experience with Dr. Matt Stone. Definitely recommend. Our Shih Tzu is 12 years old and we have never been to this Vet until now, but we wish that we would have sooner. Our dog had been suffering from eye and ear problems for a while now and we have been able to treat the symptoms a little bit, but not cure them until now. Dr. Stone explained what was going on with our dog in laymans terms and was very comprehensive!! Dr. Stone and the vet tech were very patient and compassionate with our dog who isnt the most cooperative at the vet. We will definitely come back here and we recommend this Animal Hospital for those who are looking for compassionate, professional, knowledgable, efficient, and caring people to take care of their pets.

On our latest visit to the Animal Hospital and Laser Center of SC we brought our newest dog, 12-week old Bandit, to Dr. Berger for a first visit. Everyone made a few minutes to gently welcome him to the facility. After a thorough checkup, and inoculations suitable for a very young dog, he received several treats and many pats. We discussed what shots he was getting and why he wasnt getting others yet. We came home with the appropriate medicine for heartworm and ticks, and a very happy puppy. As weve come to expect, the facility was clean, well set up, provided appropriate space and diagnostic instruments for any tests the pup needed. Bandit is our fourth dog that Dr. Berger has treated. The care of dogs and their human "parents" is excellent.

Our 2 year old chocolate lab had a partially torn ACL this month so we had to search for a new veterinarian. Our good friend referred us to Dr. Stone. Our experience was beyond expectation. His attentive staff watched as Mya got out of the vehicle to see her overall behavior and active symptoms. Dr. Stone took time to sit in the floor and get Mya comfortable with him. Very gentle, very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Stone and his staff for any of your fur-baby needs! Weve had questions in between appointments - and his staff is always available and very quick to return phone calls. We drive from Conway to Pawleys Island and its well worth the travel time! We have found our fur-ever Veterinarian!

First, let me speak on Matts patience. My fiance and I bought a 6 week old French bulldog puppy after being released by the prior vet as ready to seperated from the parents. I was very over protective and worried about basically nothing, but Matt put up with my worried daddy syndrome without question. The 2 next visits to Matt were great, and our puppy didnt even realize she was getting the shots when Matt gave them too her. He is very knowledgable, patient and genuinely has the best interest of our dog in mind. We will continue taking our puppy to Matt as long as we live here.

We moved to this area 3 months ago. And I was more concerned about finding medical care for my pets than for myself. Due to the fact that my father was a Veterinarian, and I knew my pets were in good hands, I am very discerning when it comes to whom is chosen as their Vet. However, my concerns ceased when we met Dr. Stone. He is very accommodating with a gentle nature and his love for animals is quite apparent. I left with a lot of confidence in his practice and certainly will recommend to others. Of course, the dog treats are a plus too!

I love this place, they have been so good with my cats over the years. Dr. Berger is kind and reassuring. He recently helped my poor female cat who was scratching herself to death! She had denuded and area on her neck of all fur leaving a seeping wound. I was horrified. Dr Burger however quickly diagnosed it and other symptoms as dermatitis. With just two shots she went from an aloof obsessively grooming and scratching animal back into the sweet loving and playful cat Id remembered. I cant thank them enough for their wonderful care!

Dr Stone is awesome with the animals, you can tell he truly loves them and does his best to take care of them whether its a regular check-up or they arent feeling well. He gets on the floor with them and develops a rapport, so few vets bother with that these days, and its so important to us owners to see our animals cared for both clinically AND lovingly!! Their prices are competitive and they stay on schedule as best as anyone working with animals can. I Highly recommend Dr Stone and his staff. - Sharon Frantz, Myrtle Beach

We moved here from Charleston and some friends recommended Animal Hospital. Our dog Rascal wasnt feeling well and we called and explained the symptoms and he was scratching himself raw and they had us come in the next morning. He examined Rascal and Dr Matthew gave special attention and Rascal was totally at ease with the doctor. The staff also was very helpful and had all his records from our vet in Charleston Vet buy the time we arrived. This is a super nice facility and would recommend highly.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Matt Stone. I have been going to him for years, so when he bought this practice in Pawleys Island, I was shocked and quite upset. I currently have four dogs and one kitty, but he has also taken care of others who have passed on. Dr. Stone is not only knowledgeable - he is extremely compassionate with every animal and all circumstances. So much so, that I solved my dilemma after he re-located - I now drive 22 miles to Pawleys!
