It is very clear that everyone who works at PVH is an animal lover. If you go in for something abnormal, expect them to call you for follow up and to be quick to get you back in if theres a problem. Dr. Kiningham, Dr. Welch and their vet techs are extremely knowledgeable and will always take care of you and your pet. This past weekend, we were forced to put down our beloved lab-retriever (one of two dogs we have). I cannot thank them enough for the compassion they showed us, especially since due to my own mistake we arrived after they were closed (Id learned the prognosis and made the decision earlier in the day, and was able to return with my wife). Even though Im sure they all wanted to go home, they in no way pressured us and made sure we took the time we needed. They also demonstrate time and again taking care of your pet (and you) is more important to them than just being a business. We now live 30-45 minutes away and will continue to use them for our remaining dog. Finally I cant say enough good things about their office staff (I have dealt with Pam the most)- real professionals that understand how to talk to people who may be upset. I simply cant say enough good things about their team and my experience with all of them.

While in town for 5 weeks my cocker spaniel with glaucoma displayed signs indicating the pressure in her only eye may be rising. Pawleys Veterinary Hospital was recommended by several people in the neighborhood. I called...they saw me the same day. Dr. Kiningham treated her. He was knowledgeable of her condition and the meds I was using currently. He called a specialist in Mt. Pleasant and made a referral for me. Considering I am not a full time resident locally and will infrequently have my dog here I feel her care was exceptional. Dr. Kiningham went above and beyond for her. The staff was friendly and treated my dog as if she had been a patient there frequently. Whenever I have her here with me I will definitely take her back for treatment.

The staff are absolutely amazing. I was there for unfortunate reasons... My mother in law had to put her baby, of 16 years, down. Everyone was extremely compationate and kind towards my mother in law. We picked up the cats remains today and the company they bring animals to for cremations is amazing. They put the remains in a beautiful urn and not just a simple box, with a card, and a bracelet. My mother in law also received a beautiful card in the mail from the office with her cats paw print. That right there was the most beautiful gift. If we ever get another animal, Pawleys Veterinary Hospital will be our go to vets. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Over the last 17 years we have gone to five different vets along the Grand Strand and Pawleys Vet wins hands down. They have a caring professional staff who know and ask about our animals (all 11 of them) and that is important. Prices are the same as other places but you dont have to put aside an entire morning to hang around the waiting room -- weve never waited longer than five minutes for our appointment. We whole-heartedly recommend all the doctors but Dr. Young is our favorite.

Ive been driving 8 hrs to my pets original vet because I was not satisfied with te previous vet clinics. Then I found Pawleys Island Veterinary Clinic. Everyone is so kind and the vets/techs are very knowledgeable. They truly care about my cat, following up with me every day to see how she is doing. I didnt have much hope for her, but today she has turned completely around!!! I cant thank them enough for the professional/curious service and saving Riskys life!

Dr Whetstone and her staff have been wonderful when caring for my dog Waffles! You can tell they are all animal lovers, and they do their best to calm down nervous dogs during check-ups. We really appreciated their help and patience when we first adopted our dog, and they were always nice when I called with questions. I wouldnt trust anyone else with my furbaby!

These veterinarians and staff are exceptional. They took our dog Winston when he injured himself immediately when know one in the area would, and recently have been caring for our cat Big Boi who has been diagnosed with diabetes. They followed up regularly and are extremely compassionate!
