I have had the most frustrating time with this vet on more than one occasion. The ladies in the front are very unhelpful and are frustraing to deal with. They gave my dog trifexis. when I went to get my second months dose they claimed he needed to be tested for heartworm or it could kill my dog. AFTER THEY ALREADY GAVE ME THE FIRST DOSE. when I argued with the ladies up front they scheduled me for a heartworm test. When I went back for the test, it took them over a week for the vet to write my prescription. When I went to pick it up I was very frustrated, I told the nurses why I was upset and she claimed that because my dog was less than a year old he didnt need a heartworm test..WHICH IS COMPLETELY CONTRADICTORY OF WHAT I WAS FIRST TOLD. I asked for a new prescription for sentinel (which is cheaper than trifexis and does the same job pretty much). They informed me it could take up to another 48 hours to get the new prescription. I have since found a new vet on 501 and they are more knowledgeable, more helpful, and CHEAPER.

All about MONEY, my lab of 11 years was hit by a car. Brain Dead would be the best way to describe it! We took him to Waccamaw Vet to be put down after the Incident, went so far as to sign the paperwork to have him put down. Randy came in and gave us, at best I can describe, False Hope. After 2 days of False Hope and a bill of $1,800 we took our dog home. He was a Zombie to say he least! Major head Trauma and major head issues, the one thing we made very clear was that before we would allow him to live like a vegetable, we would prefer to put him down. We were talked out of this from the beginning, for what I believe was monetary gain. After being home for 26Hrs we called another Vet to come to our house and put him down. Even this Vet agreed that he should have been put down before suffering for several days. I will never do business here again and encourage you not to also!

Ive been a client of Dr. Randy for years with many different pets - several cats, a dog and even an injured and abandoned baby squirrel. Some of my pets have had very healthy lives and others have had lots of problems - at least two life or death emergencies - but regardless, the care my animals have received from Dr. Randy and all of his staff has been exceptional and fair. I never doubted he was 100% concerned for the well being of my pets as well as my financial restraints. The various options for treatment are always presented to me as just that - options. No pressure. And even the times Ive gotten second opinions before big procedures, Ive found he never led me wrong. He is highly skilled, clearly loves all kinds of animals, and gives me the tools I need to make the best (and cost-effective) choices for my pets.

Ive taken in two litters of kittens to Dr. Randy and have nothing but good things to say about Waccamaw Vet. The staff are personable and knowledgeable, the office is always pristine and Dr. Randy is one of the best vets Ive worked with. Im not sure how much longer they will have it, but I took my kittens in because of their "$1 nose to toes" introductory rate for new customers, and it was a wonderful discovery. I was worried they would be like some of the other vets around here who only care about money and not the Cats. Dr. Randy and his staff seem to genuinely care about each individual cat and even do a follow up call in case you have any questions. #Highlyrecommend #Waccamawvet

I just moved into the area last month, from NJ, and needed to bring my cat due to an abscess she got right before be left. I found this vet in the phone book and from the minute I spoke to the lady to schedule an appt, I liked them immed! The office is super clean, doesnt have that nasty dirty dog and cat pee clinic smell and is so cutely decorated in a Jungle theme! Dr. Randy is such a sweet man. He is passionate about his job and is very through with his exam. I also appreciated the call from the office to see how my kitty was feeling, since she was had to take antibiotics. I highly recommend Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center, you wont be disappointed. A++++

My husband and I moved to the area almost 8 years ago, and Dr. Randy and his wonderful staff have been taking care of our pets since then. Not only is Dr. Randy an exceptionally knowledgeable and talented veterinarian, but he is willing to spend as much time with us as needed to be sure we are informed about our cats health and their needs. (We have often asked Dr. Randy to become an MD so he can be OUR doctor, too!) We strongly recommend Waccamaw Regional Veterinary Center if you are looking for highly qualified doctor and staff for your precious pets.

Dr. Randy and his entire staff are absolutely wonderful. I rescue older and special needs dogs and he treats every one as it it were his own pet. He is very knowledgeable and does a thorough exam and testing if needed. All the girls that work there are so tender with all the animals ,my big Saint Bernards & my little Trevor. I have also had to put down a few dogs and or cats , you cant ask for a more loving compassionate man than Dr Randy, he truly cares, Im elated to have found a terrific VET for my large crew Jann Daneault

I took my dog to see Dr. Randy for a dental. My dog was not eating normal and sometimes acted like he was in pain. He would pace at night and constantly want attention. After his dental services, he now sleeps through the night and is acting like his old self again! I can not thank them enough for that. At my former vet, my dog had to be muzzled. He has NEVER needed a muzzle here! He loves the staff and is not at all stressed at Waccamaw Veterinary Center. I would refer Dr. Randy and his loving and caring staff to anyone I know!

As the pet parent of a blind, highly asthmatic, and excessively allergic adopted geriatric cat, I have witnessed my cat suffer through asthma attacks, excessive grooming to the point of baldness, and reoccuring urinary tract infections. With WRVCs help, they have diagnosed and remedied these problems Ive had with my adopted cat since day one. After being put on an inhaler and special diet, my cat has significantly improved in all these areas and in in overall health and disposposition. Thank you so much!

Dr. Randy & his staff are very professional and caring at the same time. He takes his time with you and your baby making sure all issues are addressed. Sometimes I have to board my babies and I dont worry while they are there. I have a fiesty lil Shih-Tzu that will let me know when she is uncomfortable but when I even mention going to see Dr. Randy she tries to head for the car. This tells me a lot about him and his staff. I would not trust anyone else for their care. :)
