Ive been here twice. Once for myself and once for someone else. Both times were off times of day so the wait wasnt bad. The doctors & nurses we saw were very nice but thats the best I can say. The review about the girls at the front desk having personal conversations and ignoring you so they can finish while you stand there like a beggar waiting for help is completely true. The first doctor my fiance saw was no help, couldnt answer anything about what was going on and referred him to a specialist. Fine, that happens sometimes, but not encouraging to return for anything else. We had to ask for antibiotics and nothing was offered for the pain - which was why we were there at 10:00 at night. Went home, still in pain and no more informed than when we came. Second doctor for me couldnt give me a set diagnosis - said it could be this or it could be that. Again left feeling as informed as when I came, other than the x-ray that showed nothing wrong. He prescribed me levoquin (levofloxacin). After taking only ONE pill, I developed a serious side effect and read in the pill package from the pharmacist that it can lead to permanent paralysis. Call me crazy but Id rather have a cough that will eventually go away, than be paralyzed. I called them that night and was not directed on the recording how to page the nurse so I had to leave a message around 8-9 p.m on Friday. I was in a panic from this side effect and obviously didnt take any more, although it is sad that some people would until they hear from the doctor. I did not receive a call back until Sunday morning to stop taking it and doctor would need to prescribe another antibiotic. Well thanks, Im starting to feel better 3 days later from when I visited, so Id rather not take any more prescriptions from a doctor who endorses such an insane medication when there are better options available; especially after reading reviews of this medicine for hours on Friday when I took it! I KNOW that everything these days can cause terrible side effects, but I didnt need something this harsh for what I had. I would add that I am healthy, exercise regularly, and am allergic to nothing. However, I fear that this pill is going to cause me future problems. The side effect is still lingering, but hopefully it has not done any permanent nerve damage, how would I know. I will probably end up having to go see another doctor just to talk to me about it. The underlying point is, that this is something I would have liked to have discussed when I was able to talk to finally talk to the nurse but she didnt ask me how I was or if it had stopped or take any concern with it, all she wanted to know was if I had given them my preferred pharmacist for the new antibiotic. Besides the fact that I wrote this on my paperwork that I filled out when I came in and is in my file that I watched being created, it wasnt worth it to me to go on another antibiotic they prescribed at this point. When I said I didnt want any now, she said ok and started to hang up - this is where I started to interject with my questions about the continuing of the side effect, but before asking I made the assumption that she wouldnt know and would have to have the doctor call me back, and hed just tell me what I wanted to hear b/c he prescribed it, or make me come back in b/c hes not actually going to call me back directly anyway, and that was not something I wanted to do so I let it go. I plan on never going back here again.

The ONLY reason I continue to go to this place is because its open 24/7. Thats about the only good part, but by the time you sit in the waiting room for hours upon end for two minutes with the doc for him/her to tell you absolutely nothing, you mine as well wait and go to a decent doctor during normal business hours. I went the first time in April because I had gotten sick while doing some training with ROTC a few days before. They ran blood work and sent other samples to an outside lab. The never called to tell me my lab results. I assumed everything was fine until two weeks later my mother got a letter in the mail stating I needed to call immediately to get my results. Naturally, that freaked me out considering they never tried to call me or mail me any notice. I called and left a message (because no one ever answers the phone) and they once again, never returned my call. Finally I just went back up there one day to get the results. I was told it was in regards to one condition and that I needed to do the blood work again to confirm. The nurse told me I did not need to fast. So I went back the next morning to do the blood work. Literally ate breakfast right before I went. I apparently did need to fast. Oh, and the nurse that told me I did in fact need to fast, explained that it was so they could test something that was not at all related to the condition the first nurse told me they were concerned about. Anyway, went back the next morning after fasting, had the blood work done. A week and a half later, still hadnt heard back from them (they said results would be in within 24-48 hours). So, I started calling again. I left numerous messages until finally two weeks later, they returned my call. After blood work round two, they told me I needed to wait another month and have the tests done a third time. Needless to say, its been a month and a half and I havent gone back there. Now, Im trying to get them to write an order for me to have the blood work done somewhere else because Im not in Rock Hill for the summer, and what do ya know, they havent returned my calls. I hope I dont have some disease thats continuing to develop and get worse while they screw around and fail to do even the basics of their job.
