I went for treatment here twice, first for the flu, then for an infection on my leg that I thought was a bug bite but ended up looking more like staff or something. Both times they sent in a sample for lab work. I never heard anything back about the first lab results, I guess they probly came back as flu so they just sent the bill with no follow up necessary. The second lab results are what I am still more concerned with as Ive since had more of the same infections pop up after finishing the prescribed antibiotics and I havent heard anything back from them. The doctor said the lab work was to make sure the antiobiotic he was giving me would work. I called and the girl said they never received results. She gave me a phone number for the lab that led to an answering machine with a mechanical voice saying, "Hello, we cant take your call", so Im not sure it was even the lab that I called. The girl on the phone at MedFast was nice but seemed new and after putting me on hold deflected my questions and seemed to be giving me a line that another secretary was telling her to say in the background. "We never received your results." But I am pretty sure I will be receiving the bill. After the first visit I received the bill for the lab results, as expected, because you sign a form that says you agree for them to send it in and for you to be billed for it (some people are surprised by this.. You shouldnt be if you sign the form..) The surprising bill was the one that came another month later that said I still owed them for the office visit even though I paid them when I left. Another $50 due, according to their account. So now if they bill me the same way as the first time Ill have two more bills coming, but my leg still looks infected and the lab work that I am paying for apparently vanished. Overall they seem pretty good at following up when they want more money, but not so great at following up with the health of their patients. A couple notes about the treatment - I went in there saying I thought it was a bug bite but didnt know what since the infection kept growing. It was very large and very painful. They asked me what I thought bit me and I said I didnt know, I thought it was a spider bite at first but I was perplexed at this point. The doctor and the nurse didnt offer any other possibilities. The doctor simply said something along the lines of, if it was a bug in your bed its probably still in there. Other people that Ive shown it to have said it looks like mrsa staff etc. I still dont know and still havent heard anything back. What if it actually is one of those nasty infections?? You would think they would give me a little insight! Anyway they cut it open and drained it and stuffed a gauze wick inside to help it drain and sent me home with some gauze and rubber gloves. I asked the doctor what I should do about showering and he said well dont get it wet! They didnt give any instructions on how to clean it or keep it dry. Disclaimer - I dont like doctors visits so I wanted to get out of there quickly to get my antibiotics and be done with it so I didnt ask too many questions. I also dont usually waste my time writing reviews.

No professionalism, inconsistencies in billing, un- sterile practices. I went in for an abscess on my finger 2 weeks ago and the doctor didnt even look and said "Yep looks infected" and prescribed me antibiotics. I went back 2 days later in immense pain and then he performed a what seemed to be a non-surgical aspiration. The doctor never introduced himself was very rude and was quick to treat me. His treatment was to grab a large gauge needle and without sterilize my wound poked it and squeezed the infection out leaving me with the bloody guaze in my hand to go check on another patient. I yet again got another infection in my knee reluctantly going back to Med Fast due to the convenience of being close to home try to explain my questionable additional Bill received in the mail after leaving the first time 2 weeks ago with no idea of additional payment was necessary I walk in seeing the same unprofessional crappy doctor stating oh its the same doctor to the nurse as she grins and says yes he is here on Tuesdays through Saturdays. When I asked the doctor why I might be getting these infection, he shrugged his shoulder and didnt entertain my question. At this time the doctor sterilized my wound before poking with needle performing the aspiration and prescribed another antibiotic. I will never ever ever go back to bed fast at any location.

I had just been in an accident, still reeling from the shock and pain of this event, I called ahead to make sure that they took accident patients, And was told yes. I didnt ask for that persons name they told me to come in. When I arrived to check in there were to women in the receiving window, now nobody ask me if I could be helped Im just standing there, So I asked the person in the first window if she could help me. I told her I had been in a car accident and needed to see a doctor, she asked for the claim number , My insurance company told me that my policy number is the claim number until they can assign an adjuster to my case. This woman was one of the rudest people, not only did she tell me that they wouldnt admit me but that she could not open a file without a claim number , I had just been hit Im hurt , Im not feeling well and this lady had no compassion. I was being turned away because all I had was an auto policy not a claims policy . It wasnt till I started to leave when I had decided to talk to a supervisor , now by having to do this I was pushed further back in line. this staff should be more trained on empathy and compassion. Im not sure I would go back. in fact no I wont be back.

I would not go back here no matter what! Went in around 5pm on Friday, June 17, 2016. Very uncompassionate front desk staff. Was taken to exam room. Explained that I was vomiting, and in a tremendous amount of radiating pain, felt almost like contractions. My stomach was distended. Doctor told me it was a stomach bug and I was nauseous so I needed Zofran. Told him I wasnt nauseous, and didnt feel like it was a virus. Explained that it was painful, and I thought something was wrong. He again said it was nausea, and gave me a shot of Reglan. Never looked at my abdomen, never palpated my abdomen, didnt even do an exam. The nurse apologized after he left, said she could tell I was really sick, and to call her tomorrow if I wasnt better. Ridiculous to pay $75 for a doctor to ignore you and not even do an exam. Called the next day, was told I should come back, but it would be another $75. Went to Royal Oak, they did bloodwork and sent me straight to the ER because I was septic and had an intestinal blockage. Spent two weeks in the hospital, had surgery, and even ER staff couldnt believe I was sent home like that.
