I was admitted in-patient on November 17, discharged with staff approval on the 30th. My overall visit was good. Most of the nurses/staff were very pleasant and they go by their word, that if you needed to talk to someone-it could be anyone at any time. I do have several concerns. One thing is no girl/boy contact. GBs rule is no fraternizing. I agree with the rule to a certain extent. GB believe no girl/boy contact because of "rehab romances." When in early recovery together, people are very weak and will be more opt to relapse when in early recovery together. Totally understandable. During the daytime though, all patients were to smoke outside at the pavillion-men and women together. Everyone talked to eachother out there and the staff was well aware of this. Also, on the weekends, co-ed breakfast was served and male and female patients ate and talked together. I was inside one time talking to a male patient about ethnicity and was told that was fraternizing and to walk away from one another. Why is it that at certain times it is allowed and others it isnt? Doesnt make sense to me. Another thing, I came to visit a patient on visiting day and was told to leave because I had to have been discharged for atleast 90 days until I could return for a visit, but was allowed to attend meetings open to the public, which that patient would also be attending. I was asked to leave and followed out to my car. When I arrived at GB, my belongings were searched-mandatory. I had $50 whitening strips that were not taken from me at the time. A couple days after admission, a room search was performed and the strips were taken from me. At time of dishcarge, the strips could not be located. I called about everyday for a month and the strips were still not found and the nurses questioned why they were taken from me in the first place. I called the CEO three times during the month, she never answered and I left messages each time that were never returned. Finally, a month after my discharge, they were located. I shouldnt have to hassel around with getting my belongings back! The staff should have been more organized! As I said, my overall visit was good, but some staff members think they can talk to patients however they want, and I was usually always very respectful. During downtime, the facility had nothing to occupy patients time. The tvs werent even turned on. The experience was okay and as long as you follow the program, you will have a successful sober life. If you ask me if I would go back as in-patient though, my answer would be no.

After a stay here, our son returned and has been sober for 8 months now. He had been to Neocap twice previously, as part of a drug program offered through the courts, and did not remain clean. Their family days which consist of a speaker, lunch with your loved one, parent group counseling and parent/loved one group counseling was very beneficial to both me (his mother) and our son (the resident). Proving there is education for the family members that suffer. I believe they all really care here about saving people, I picked up on that right away the day that I attended. Families need this type of professional help and support during this difficult time, and no better teachers thanrecovered addicts themselves, sharing what worked for them. God bless all of you there for giving us hope....please continue making a difference in the lives of addicts one day at a time!

Glenbeigh restores hope to the hopeless; famlies and patients alike. State of the art facility Patients and families know staff cares about their well-being. Best of the best in rehabilitation services. No place like it in the north eastern part of the country! Ive made many referals to this institution. Difficult to get a bed; need to be placed on an admission wait list most of the time. Only difficult for admission due to the large opiate epidemic. We need more facilities like Glenbeigh!!! Glenbeigh saves lives and their aftercare programs are wonderful. The clean time longevity of those who graduate the program, is much longer than those at many other facilities. I recommend anyone in need of help contact this facility.

Very horrible experience I wanted to just go home they would not let me leave.they threatened me to call the sheriff if I left..and the counciler tried to have me medicated with thorzine in a room so I could not walk out..they would not let me use the phone to call for my ride home. Would not let me have my cell phone or personal keys. I was lied to by staff and treated horrible I would not recommend anyone to go here

This place hands down saved my life. The counselors are excellent. The programming is excellent. Even the food is excellent. If you can get in here, count yourself lucky. Much love to all of the addicts still sick and suffering out there. Much patience, strong will, and clear-headedness to their families. They will love you back to health here.

Please Dont send anyone you know there. Its a very inexperienced staff and Rehab center. I assume thats why they take people on just Medicare in so quickly. I just had a friend there who they sent to the hospital because they couldnt handle the patients detox, wtf? Then also lied to them because they wouldnt pick her back up at the hospital

I think it is a shame when a facility allows there patients to date there employees. I thought there were laws against such behavior.
