Good: Relatively cheap Centrally located Bad: Minimal hours Completely worthless office staff (get to that later) Harmful "office and procedure" policies (get to that later) Average "on call/after hours" service (get to that later) Office Staff -- They say theyre going to do something important for you, like sort out the prior authorization forms for you, ya know, LIKE THEIR JOB, but they dont do it. Or if they do, and it gets declined for some reason, they dont call you and tell you, so you can plan accordingly, and make sure youre not caught without test strips or insulin, or other life sustaining supplies. Also, they will not put you through to the doctor, so you can hash out a particular detail. They send the message to the doctor, and then you get to wait till potentially 5pm when they may or may not get around to you, to call you back, so you have to keep calling them to check. Office staff is slow, lazy, and not knowledgeable at all. Policies -- If you miss an appointment, boom, $50 fee right there. If you miss an appointment, and need a prescription, too bad! You have to come in and see the doctor before youll get one. Oh? You need this prescription to live? "Just go get some from your GP." Thats what the office staff told me. Yeah right, sister. What am I paying you people for, if you wont give me the script I need, TO LIVE. Its not like this is convenience medication, IM A DIABETIC. IF I DONT GET THIS STUFF, I DIE. If you miss an appointment, and you cant get one till months away from when you need a medication, too bad! "Policy" prevents it. Now mind you, this isnt a governmental policy, or something with some authority or force behind it, just some pissant rule this establishment has made up, to keep you on the hook, and make your life difficult. It would take the doctor, all of five seconds to write it, and the office staff ten minutes to do it, to make your life, the slightest bit easier. But are they gonna do it? Nope. After hours service -- You better be dying if you call this number. If its not a life/death situation, dont expect a call back. And, should you even be lucky enough to get a call back, expect an angry, rude, and generally disinterested voice to be speaking to you from the other end of the phone. Overall, do not give these people your business. Unless youve somehow been blacklisted into this being your only choice, avoid them like the plague. Unless your life isnt difficult, and youve got nothing to do all day. Then show up, get ignored, have people not do their jobs, and just waste your time.

A day before I was scheduled to see Dr. Rahbany for the first time, I ran across these reviews of her online and became very discouraged. I was tempted to back out, but did not because I did not want to pay the $50 fee for cancelling less than 24 hours in advance. Based on what others wrote, I went prepared for a long wait, a rude staff and an arrogant physician who would insult me and make me feel bad about myself for being overweight. What I got was the exact opposite! The staff was very warm and polite. And I only waited about a half an hour from the time I finished filling out my new patient forms until the time my name was called. The nurse who took my weight, blood pressure and other vitals was an absolute sweetheart. We joked and talked the entire time she collected my information. I have hyperthyroidism, as well as Type 1 diabetes and at 5 feet, 6 inches and 180 lbs, I am also overweight. Dr. Rahbany was nothing, but respectful. She never once called me fat or looked down her nose at me or spoke to me in a degrading tone. She allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed and answered every single one to my complete satisfaction. Also, I really appreciated that she was sensitive to the fact the I am uninsured. She took a less expensive course of action, because she did not want me to take thousands of dollars worth of scans until she knew they were absolutely necessary. She also gave me 50% off of my bloodwork and lowered my office visit to $150! What more can a person ask for?! At the end of our consultation, she personally walked me from the room to the front desk and shook my hand. I have had thyroid issues and diabetes for 14 years and I have seen endocrinologists everywhere from Chicago to Tennessee. Dr. Rahbany has been the best I have worked with by far!! If you are considering seeing her or have a first-time appointment with her, I would encourage you to go and decide for yourself if she is the right fit for you. I am so glad I did not let these negative reviews about her deter me. I will be going back to see her in 4 weeks and I am confident that I will receive the same level of care and attention as my first visit!

This office is extremely unprofessional and the office manager is extremely rude. It is a real shame because I really like the doctor, however you will most likely see the PA or student most of your visits and the office staff makes it difficult to stay on as a pt. During my first visit they failed to verify my insurance prior and had me waiting 30 minutes passed my time, after they verified my insurance and paid my copay I waited another hour. When i asked why the wait was so long I was told that I missed my appt time. When I complained that it wasnt my fault I was told I could reschedule but that I wold get a no show fee. During my second visit I was supposed to get a lab script but the printer wasnt working so the PA asked if he could mail it. A week later I had to get my labs done but I never received the slip, when I went to pick up a copy they tried to charge me 10 dollars since it was a duplicate. I explained that I never received a copy and because there were no notes from the PA I was charged anyway. Finally i was up to date with my treatment and didnt need to return for another 6 months. When it was time to schedule I was told that they no longer take my insurance. It took me a month to finally change it and when I tried to r./s the office manager informed me that I was no longer part of the practice and that she would not allow anyone to schedule an appt for me. So even though I have been taking my meds on time and was only a month passed my f/up date they were no longer going to treat me. Would not recommend this office to anyone and if the provider reads this review, then she should consider a change of staff, most specially your office manager.

Dr. Rahbany use to be a small personable practice doctor. I went to her for over 7+ years, but things changed... Expect to be at her office for 1.5-3.0 hours (average). The staff will book so many patients in one day that youll have to take an entire day off from work Guaranteed. I only accepted it because I own my business and could spare the time (sometimes). Imagine if you had to go back to your office to do work. Take the day off with a visit to Dr. Rhabany! If you call to cancel, the staff member will ask you "why" and still record it against you even if you have surgery. The doctor will never personally call you back. She will not answer your e-mails. She may care about you once you get into her office, but she definitely wants you to wait around while she rakes in the dough...P.S. The doctor will only notice you when you have an appointment. Go there to pick something up and if the doctor is in the room, she wont even acknowledge you Guaranteed...
