I almost never give a written review, but for Dr. Handford and his staff, I will make an exception (NOTE: See the rest of the story below). I just recently had a massage at Dr. Handfords chiropractic office and it was extremely nice. If you have never had a massage do yourself a great favor and get one at Dr. Handfords office. If you get massages now, I would recommend that you try one at Dr. Handfords office. You will not be disappointed! NOW THE REST OF THE STORY: My 66th birthday present from my wife was supposed to be a massage at Dr. Handfords chiropractic office. You no doubt can imagine my disappointment when I showed up and was told that there was no appointment. Having had massages in the past and so looking forward to this one, disappointment only begins to tell what I felt. Dr. Handfords office profusely appologized and asked for a second chance. I understand that nobody is perfect and mistakes can be made and therefore I rescheduled AND NOT ONLY WAS MY MASSAGE GREAT BUT I WILL BE GOING BACK IN THE FUTURE AS I KNOW THAT THIS IS SOMETHING WE SHOULD ALL ALOW OURSELVES TO HAVE. AS I SAID EARLIER, BE REALLY GOOD TO YOURSELF AND GET A MASSAGE AT DR. HANDFORDS CHIROPRACTIC OFFICE, YOU WILL REALLY BE PLEASED.

. The physical therapy assistants havent been very helpful. Its my opinion the physical therapy assistants must be poorly trained or dont care about being there. At least 2 other patients had the same feeling about the assistants. During my last 2 visits with the chiropractor one of the assistants decided to discuss her car problems. In my next visit this same assistant wanted to discuss her sore throat. This assistant was actually having a conversation with the chiropractor while he was making an adjustment on me during my last 2 visits. If I only have 5-10 minutes of time with the chiropractor then I feel cheated if my time is being used with the assistant and the doctor talking. I found this inconsiderate and unprofessional. I have good individual health insurance. What Im paying out pocket leaves me feeling disappointed with Vitality medical Center. You can possibly do yourself a favor , join a gym , loose some weight and hopefully come out better.

After suffering from an aching back and neck, I checked online and Dr. Dan had the best reviews. WIth the support of a diverse team of healthcare professionals, my back is indeed feeling better. Mostly due to poor posture and sitting at a desk all day, I have found the collaborative, tag-team approach from Morgans massage, the NDS Method, and Dr Dans chiropractic skills to prove effective. I enjoy going to their friendly office, which runs seamlessly from the moment you walk in the door, go through each stage of the treatment plan, and check out. I appreciate the level of concern and care each member of the team devotes and look forward to each visit.

I called the office in the morning. I explained to the person who took my call. I am in pain and am looking to see a doctor and a MT. They assured me I could be seen today. I left with more pain then I came in with . And after a quick consultation and some x rays .....$250 less in my wallet. I got to see the doctor but not in the manner I expected. Got to look at him. Here I am 20 hours later after I called and in more pain then I started. And they want to see me next week for another consultation. I think they should be more up front on how far they want to dip into your wallet and what services will be rendered, before they start.

I have suffered from Chronic Severe Migraines for as long as I can remember. Dr. Dan is the first person to be able to offer me some relief and hope. After just a few weeks of seeing him and using his oxygen therapy, I am now going further between migraines than before! Before I was getting a migraine every 3-4 days and now I go two weeks in between migraines. I feel like a new person! Dr. Dan has an excellent bedside manner and his staff is very caring. My children like to play in the playroom and eat the free cookies while they wait for me.

How can I say enough about Dr. Handford? I cant tell you how highly I regard him. I have had the privilege of knowing Dr. Handford for years now, and have always been in love with his genuine care for people. Immediately you feel welcomed around him and know that he truly cares about your needs. He has had excellent chiropractic experience through the years and is one of the best Chiropractors I know... and Ive been to a lot. If you want quality chiropractic care from a loving and competent person, Vitality Spine Center is the place for you!!

When moving back to Columbia,SC I needed to find a Chiropractor who would take the time and help solve multiple issues I have been dealing with for years! Dr. Handford welcomed me to his practice with open arms. He really listened and continues to listen to my issue and concerns. He not out there to make a dollar. He really wants to help his patients. Within two weeks I was feeling like a new person. His office staff is very polite and accommodating. I would recommend Dr. Handford to all my friends and family hands down!

Dr. Handford has helped fix the aches and pains I have been suffereing from years of playing sports. I had read that almost every professional athlete depends on Chiropractic care but I had never tried it. The results were noticed almost immediatly after the first visit. I have been back several times and continue on a monthly basis to make sure I take better care of the body God has given me. I sleep better at night and the aleve stay in the bottle now! I encourage you to give it a try. You will be glad you did!

When I first went to Dr. Handford,I had nagging lower back pain after a sports related injury which limited my walking to a couple hundred painful feet. Today I am as good as new. The technology and equipment is amazing. I got to see a virtual image of my diagnosis and skeletal structure. A big surprise to me was Dr. Handford is continually upgrading his professional skills and is knowledgeable across a broad area of disabilities. It is amazing what excellent chiropractic care can accomplish!! 5 Stars!!!

While Ive had chiropractic care in Columbia, SC before what I really love about Dr. Handford and his staff is that they are professional yet extremely friendly. They are also very accomodating, when I am in pain and need to see Dr. Handford his staff works diligently to fit me into the schedule as soon as possible. My husband and daughter also receive care from Dr. Handford. My family is very pleased with the service we receive at the Vitality Spine Center.

I am very impressed with Dr. Handford and his staff for being very friendly and professional at the Vitality Spine Center in Columbia, SC. Dr. Handford has succeeded in finding a misplaced disc in my neck and with adjustment to that disc is now reducing my headaches which I have had for at least 30 years. I believe that with continued treatment by Dr. Handford, I will one day be completely free of my headaches. Thanks to Dr. Handford
