Most of the bad reviews here are not even about this company--let alone this specific location. They are about people not reading and understanding a contract before agreeing to it and signing it. Each situation these folks describe is simply an example of an establishment following its policies as laid out in the contract the people signed. Read and understand a contract before signing it and youll be fine. (Also, you do not need to sign a contact of any sort to receive care at The Joint. However, each adjustment will be more expensive for you if you continue to pay on a per-visit basis.) The Joint Chiropractic offers exactly what it promises--straightforward manual adjustments but no additional treatment (no heat treatments head of time, no massage, no post-adjustment ice, ultrasound, or anything else.) Walk in, get an adjustment, walk out. No appointments. No hassle. That said, each location usually has at least two different doctors who practice there. And, the type and qualify of adjustment you receive will vary from practitioner to practitioner. More helpful than reviews of each location would be reviews of the individual docs. At the Spartanburg location, weve loved the care we received from Dr. Clayton Broome. Dr. Broome listens, understands, and believes what you tell him about whats going on with your body. Then he attentively looks and feels for misalignments and subluxations and checks again after the adjustment. In addition, he is trained and experienced enough to be able to effectively use a variety of adjustment techniques--and not only his favorite approach. Id say that Dr. Broome is among the top five chiropractors Ive seen over the past eighteen years. One of the other five was at one of The Joint locations in Charlotte. My kids and I have been enrolled in the care plan at The Joint for three years now and have received care at five different locations over that time. I think its a great idea, a great service, and a plenty decent business.

If you read the contract that youre signing you know exactly what financial agreement you are getting into. The facilities are clean and very professional. When signing up for the monthly plan you have a 2 month commitment to The Joint. This means, for the next two months, they WILL draw money from the account you listed. If you decide to cancel your membership, you must give them 30 days notice. Meaning, if you start your membership on the 1st of the month, and you contact them on the 15th of the second month of your membership, they WILL draw the money from your account for the third month of your membership.

I highly DO NOT recommend this place. I agreed to a 30 day monthly adjustment but found I dont have the time to go up there. I called to cancel my membership and cancel the bank draft and was told I would be charged for an additional 30 days and that they will not stop drafting from my account until I physically go there to go over "the paperwork". I wouldnt even give this place one star if I didnt have to to write the review.

I have a family member that just tried to seek the services of The Joint. They told my family member that because they were of Medicare age that they could not help them because they would have to accept medicare. My family member works and has health insurance not Medicare but was turned away. This is a Very unprofessional way of doing business.

Not sure about the other negative reviews, I have nothing but positive to say! Ive had a great experience every time Ive went. Very clean environment, friendly employees, feel better after each visit, and monthly payments were clearly explained.
