This was the worst experience Ive ever had. I went to the ER at 9:45 that morning and was taken back to a room at about 11:30 or so. Everything started out well and the nurses were very nice. I had a really bad stomach virus and was very dehydrated. They gave me a CT scan and and ultrasound to check and see if I was having gallbladder or appendix issues. After 9 hours of sitting in an ER room I finally saw my "doctor" who was just a nurse practitioner, who told me all my tests turned out fine and that I just had a stomach bug, but my blood pressure was a little low, (still in normal range it was 105/68), so she was going to admit me. Me, whom is usually a very calm understanding person, got extremely angry because not only had I been waiting 9 hours for 2 measly tests but I was being told I was GOING to be admitted by my "doctor" that I had only seen for a total of 30 seconds. I told her I was NOT staying another moment but then I was informed that if I signed out against doctors wishes that my insurance wouldnt cover the visit. So I asked her that if I was indeed dehydrated why I couldnt hydrate myself at home. To which she replied, yeah sure you could do it at home but it wouldnt work as fast So she wasnt going to sign for me to leave. So I was basically forced to stay against my will because I couldnt afford to pay a hospital bill. The care up stairs was very nice by the nurses once again, but by the time I was allowed to leave the next day at about 2 pm, they had given me 6 bags of iv fluid and my blood pressure still was the exact same and I literally was so over hydrated I tried to get up out of my bed after sleeping twice, and both times literally peed all over myself because I was so OVER hydrated and my body couldnt hold it in anymore. My blood pressure was obviously fine 105/68 is actually a great blood pressure but it was slightly below my normal which no one stopped to think about how it was maybe because I was sick and had been in bed all day. I will never go back to this hospital ever. If I had had a serious condtion it might have died because someone was so concerned about a 10 point difference in blood pressure. My time was completely wasted and the care by the ER nurse practitioner was unacceptable. I am in college to go into the medical field and this so so below standard of care.

I would say that after watching some of the nurses and techs on the Orthopedic floor give care to my grandmother who had just had a hip replacement that they could really use classes/training on compassion/empathy, or just being kind to the patient and families. The physical therapy department and surgeon were the only people that we had a good experience with. Most of the techs we encountered seemed to be in a rush, wouldnt answer questions, were rough when assisting her out of bed. You would assume that they were very busy but when I stepped into the hall, one that had been very rude to us was now sitting at the desk on her phone. When we called for pain medication and it had been 35 minutes we asked the tech if she happened to know if the nurse got our message and she replied "I dont know, I think shes busy, shes probably in another room." Whereas she could have easily said, hang on I will go find out for you and get you some help. It also took 45 minutes to receive anti nausea medicine after vomiting. I know nurses and staff are busy and if I thought that was the case I wouldnt be writing this review, but I honestly felt with their terrible attitudes that they may need to find a job where they are not directly giving patient care. Patients are there because of surgery, or being sick, etc, the last thing they need are rude caregivers. I would recommend in the future to family and friends if they need to be inpatient at a hospital to please travel further north for their care.

My adolescent child was brought in for a drug overdose. We sat in a room for 20 hours. They drew labs but could never seem to find the results. MASSIVE inexcusable miscommunication between this horrifying facility to another facility. During a 12 hour period, my son had 7 nurses! Yet I was never told who his nurse was. Dr who was 12 and new, came in one time during triage. Im a nurse myself of 30 years. I know the system. At one point my son was the only patient there. Nobody came in, introduced themselves or ever asked if we were OK. Nurses attitude and quality of case were deplorable! They need to be reminded, if youre going to service your community in such a small town, word spreads quickly. Im spreading that word. The hospital is filthy dirty. Jails Ive worked are cleaner. If you love yourself and family, drive the extra distance north to Williamson or Nashville. Go to this dump, your loved one will end up dead. Ive noticed in other reviews similar complaints. Nursing care is below standard. Everyone plays on their phone, waited two hours for crackers for my son being told a dinner tray was ordered. 4 hours later he got a soggy something. Ive also noticed the "responses" other reviews have gotten are only to those who, for some miraculous reason, didnt review anything negative. How about responding and acknowledging those who received substandard care?

I was recently at this so called hospital for breathing and feeling of passing out 3 separate visits to the emergency room. They didnt make simple checks first and wanted to stick an iv in my arm took blood all three trips didnt find anything. The last trip they took an x-ray of my chest nothing. Moved out of state because i could no longer afford to live on my own my dad took me to a clinic in Missouri come to find out with a stethoscope as well as my dad experiencing me about passing out they found fluid in my lungs leading to if let go would have led bacterial pneumonia. They gave me a nebuilizer on the spot to start and bought one and some antibiotics and a shot to kick me back to where i need to go. NO thanks to this hospital these guys must have GED"s i missed work and the cost of the trips of wasted money do not come here they do not fix your problems just take the money and insurance. I had a previous trip 2 months ago was not ever alerted of a bill never admitted to the back over me being stupid and energy drinks said i wouldnt have to pay and i asked about insurance i have to pay said no need got a bill $264 dollars out of no where just found this out lucky to have anything left from moving paid it not to my insurance becuase it could have turned to the deductible and thats worse... SO BEWARE

My step daughter was in CCU for a few days because of a very sensitive issue. The nurse Jean that shes had on day shift the last 2 days is terrible. Our family had to speak with the charge nurse about switching nurses after my child on a ventilator vommitted on herself nurse Jean did not try to clean her up, left her sitting in her vomit stating "it happens". The first thing my daughter wrote on paper when she woke up was that her nurse is so rude to her. Her heart rate jumped sky high every time that woman walked in the room. This is after she was rude to our family in the room and to me on the phone. Needless to say they didnt change nurses, or speak to her about her attitude, she was rude on the phone again when I called today. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately for them, I am in Texas so theres not much I could do from here. The nursing staff is my only way of checking on my child, they are my lifeline to her. I am a nurse myself and understand the struggles of patient care and family dynamics. But theres no excuse for this behavior, and shame on the charge for not recognizing and not doing something about it when it was brought to her attention. Im not happy at all do not send your loved ones here.
